      The New Delphinus Dream Journal

I'm pretty good at dream recall, and I have some really weird dreams, so this will be fun and interesting. I don't go online often, so I might forget some of the dreams, but I'll try my best.

Colleges, Tourism, Bamboo, And Pirates, What More Could You Want?
This one was a little weird... And I don't remember much about it, so its kind of spotty...I was headed to college, and I went into the dorms, I went into my room, and dropped off some stuff. Suddenly I was in another room, it had a bunk bed to the right and there were twenty-some people in the room. There was a girl on the top bunk talking to the people. I don't remember what she said, but I ended up on the top too, something happened and I grabbed the piece of bamboo the was sitting in the corner, and said something like; "This is Filipino bamboo." And broke it over my knee. A girl from the crowd tried to break a piece of Chinese bamboo that I had apparently brought in... I don't know what happened, but I ended up in another dorm. The girl from the room earlier was there, and we were apparently roommates. We looked out the window, and she explained to me that there are 2000 more visitors here in this week than any other week in the year. I'm not sure what happened next, but eventually I laid down on one of the beds. Here is where it got weird...I looked up and say what looked like the bottom of a ship moving away from me, it had a hot air balloon on the top. (Which was propelling it.) There was a hole in the bottom, it was obviously the room I was in, I could see my roomie and a pirate waving at me as the drifted away... Then I woke up!

I had three last night, but I don't remember them too well... Bare with me.

Well, one of them that I don't remember very much at all, but what was interesting, was that it was subtitled. I was viewing it as if it were a movie, and the words kept popping up...

I saw this one in cartoon, It was an odd night for dreams... its a little fuzzy, but I think I was in my school... And I was fighting, with large mallets. I hit a few people on the head with appropriate sound effects. A teacher came into the hall or room that I was in, and said; "My turn!" That's all I can remember.

The third one was a bit personal... So I won't post it here.

So I had quite a few over the last week or so, and I'll just post some important or strange things.
I was in a car with some friends, and at one point I was able to conjure up what little Chinese I know to talk to a DC that couldn't understand English.
I was walking along a river with two people, we ran back and forth across the river on a large pipe, when I looked up and saw that the clouds looked like dinosaurs. After the others noticed this, a dinosaur comes around the corner. The other two run and I decide to fight it. It was about 100 times my size, and I only had a leash as a weapon. This worked well as a weapon, only because of the metal piece at the end. I beat the huge beast on the head a couple times. I don't know how, but we ended up being friends, or so it would seem... After a while, he turned on me and then I noticed that he had bitten up my leash! The metal part was gone and it was cut in half. I tied it together and tried to fight the clever monstrosity. The leash was worthless without a metal end. I pulled out a knife, and attached it to the end of the leash. I sliced the dinosaurs face a few times and it gave up and ran away. The next dinosaur should have copied his wise brother. This huge beasty was killed in four slashes, showering me in blood. Then I woke up!

      Old Clyde Never Fails

Whoa man, sorry. I've been really busy lately, so I haven't been on DV in a while. Anyway, I took two tablets of B-12 last night and hoped for the best. Heres what happened.
I'm not sure if this was a dream, or if i actually woke up, but I thought to myself, "I took some B-12, shouldn't I be having dreams?"
I'm not sure what time that was, but after that, I started to have more dreams.
I was at some sort of sporting event, with my dog. I walked home once it was done, and decided to go to my grandmother's house, which was nextdoor to my house... I knocked on the door and she came to it, she had a bull terrier, and that dog didn't like my dog, so I said I would take the dog home so I could come over and talk/visit. I get to my door and notice it was craked open. I walk in and notice a few odd things, likethe large amounts of Jone's Soda in the refridgerator. I look into a side room, and my sister is there. She was visiting, I guess. Thats all I really remember.
Next I was out on my lawn, and I see a truck pull up and about 9 people get out of it, all dressed in odd clothing, and wearing obscure make-up.I would say that they we dressed in the basic goth motiff, but it was so much more extravagant...They start breaking shit and drinking and yelling for no reason, then I notice two of my friends standing by me, and they tell me I have to stop them, so I shout out a challenge to the obvious leader of the group. She grabs a bottle of vodka, and somehow attaches a gun to it, and starts shooting BB's at me.It was really weird, but dream me made no notice of it.I start to run toward a tree for cover, and she starts shooting, I get hit 5 times, but it only stings a little bit. I see some toys laying on the ground, and I look for some sort of shield or weapon, I find a horse shoe. Which, of course, gave me good luck, since all her bullets missed me whenever I was holding the horse shoe. I walk behind their truck, so she shoots it, and it explodes. I figured that she would be really pissed now, so I faked an injury to make them feel better. Some of them left, but some stayed and walked toward me and my friends. For some reason, a girl (not the one that was trying to kill me before.) comes over and kisses me. Then says something along the lines of she doesn't want to be hurt again... It was weird.
The last one was short. I was in a room full of people wanting to kill me, it was in a warehouse that I recognized from previous dreams, anyway, they charged at me, and I hid in a piece of machinery. And disappeared, showing up somewhere else, but still in the factory. There was a man on the other side of the door, shouting a beating on the door, somehow, I knew he was an older man with a severed hand hand-cuffed to his right hand. I knocked things over so the door was stuck shut. I ran up three flights of stairs, and ran into a hallway. I ran toward the window at the end, and I hear the old man say, "Old Clyde poisons us all." Right then, I jump out of the window, I can see the cement below me, and know I will die. Then I hear, "He never fails at his work." In the old mans voice again. I wake up before I hit bottom...

      Haunting...

This didn't happen in one night, but the last two or three, they aren't very clear since i've been pretty exhausted so i've been sleeping very deeply.

This was really weird, but I was in a men's restroom, and a friend of mine was there. this friend is a girl, so I don't know why she was in the men's restroom, but we were talking. thats about all, but I thought it was interesting since earlier I had feelings for her, but have recently decided that i would much rather have her as a friend. I thought that her being in a mens area meant that I no longer saw her as a woman... to put it...oddly.

I was fighting werewolves, and I was backed in a corner, then I just thought to myself, "Aw, Fuck!" then I woke up...

So this, as normal, was weird. I was on a bus, and I went and sat down by a friend of mine, when I sat down, we said hi to eachother, and then the bus seat we were on turned into two chairs, and we were now in a house. We were about to watch a movie. She cuddled up next to me, and I held her hand. The weird thing is, that I'm not really interested in her, shes cute and funny, but not really my type. I can tell she isn't interested in me either...

I have dreams of grey boxes, and yet I still wake up scared for you.

So last night, I didn't feel any time delay inbetween falling asleep and waking up. Which I usually do. The only dream I had was a picture of a grey cube on a grey background. It was weird, and when I woke up, I felt afraid for my friend Stephani. I kept an eye on her all day, but she actually had a really good day.

      Stupid over-protective subconscience...

      Awesome...

So I was in a dream, and my friend picked up an apple and threw it at me. I used telekinesis to catch it, and toss it back to him. We threw it back and forth, only using our minds, then we started doing more intricate moves. Like bouncing it off a pillow first and things like that. It was fun.

In real life, I have one dog. I was walking her around the house, and when I went to the basement, there were 4 other dogs waiting for me happily!

It was a chihuahua, a cocker spaniel, a dachshund, and a young golden retriever.

The chihuahua would always show up soaking wet, and there is nothing sadder looking than a wet chihuahua.. all bug-eyed and shaking... When I dried him off he looked really happy.

      Four Odd Dreams

I remember everything from the point of me walking down the stairs to my basement. Me and a friend were in there, we turned on the lights, and we heard noises from upstairs and decieded we needed to hide from whoever it was.I think it was my mother. She climbed up some stacks of boxes and found a good spot where the light wouldn't reveal her. I found a small place I could curl up behind, anyone could see my feet, so I looked at the lights, and figured out which ones to turn out. I scurried across the floor and turned off 2 lights and went back to my spot. My mother came downstairs, and then I woke up.

Next up, I was on a basketball court, around me was chain link fences, and the hoop. I could see grass and buildings past the fence, there were jungle-gyms around here. So it was probably at a park. I was really awful at basketball. I couldn't even dribble. Seriously, I was horrible. A man decided to give me a few tips. He then threw me a piece of wood and I then (for some reason) climbed up a jungle gym and jumped off of it... I continued this odd activity for quite some time, under the consenting eye of the man who was helping.

I was Monk! From the TV show, Monk... It was odd. I had never been so obsessive in a dream before... It was also a very boring dream, because most of the time I was just trying to get things to look tidy. I spent about an hour trying to get a single pillow to look right. Good experience, but not an entertaining dream.

There was another one, but I forgot it now... darn.

      Owls!!!

I walked out of my house, and as far as the eye could see were white owls! That's a precursor of death right?Anyway, it was like that movie "The Birds". Except with only owls! I love owls, and I walked through the crowds, and gave them all a pat on the head. They were happy to see me, and they all seemed to like me... It was weird...

Haha, I'd be mad if that happened. It's like, "I fell asleep for this??"

Cool owl dream. Owls mean more than just death, though. Wisdom, magic, the soul, prophecy, astral travel, insight, communication with the spirit world... I don't think they represent death in your dream. Maybe if they were black, but they were happy to see you.

See what they can do for you next time. Maybe they'll help you astral project?

Or maybe it means you're destined to become Harry Potter.

You have no idea how ironic that Harry Potter comment is....

When I was young. (7-9) I looked exactly like the kid who was Harry Potter in the movies.
When I read that owls are signs of magic... Thats what popped in my head...

      Kinda odd...

I was sitting on a bench with a friend of mine, and we were holding hands.
(This isn't someone I'm interested in, but we're good friends.)We were sitting, and then she disappeared! I searched frantically for her, only to turn around to see her sitting on the bench. She said, "What is taking you so long?"

      Then i woke up!

Haha. Monk is hilarious! That would be weird, to be OCD in a dream. I should try to induce that experience, some time. Hehe.

Last night I didn't really have any, but I had just a segment before waking up. I re-entered it with a little control. I did the December Lucid Task then.

The scene was a city, and I was just walking along. I woke up, and then jumped back into the dream, completely aware. The street was busy to begin with, so I just called out to a taxi driving by, I jumped in, and asked to go "where the action was." Curious to see what would happen. I ended up by an alley where a guy was being mugged, I helped the man, and then I had to get up...

Of course, the cabbie was very stereotypical!

I didn't have a dream last night, but I think I'll tell you one that was important to me!

This may have been my first dream, all I know is, that it is the first dream that I remember.

There was fire and the smell of sulfur. I assume it was hell. I wasn't afraid, and I could hear shouting and screaming. I didn't look down, but I was in the air. I was possibly a demon. I was part human, and part bat. Its hard to explain... Anyway, I was flying and that's about all...

      Okay, a few things...

Last night I tried for a WILD, but I'll get to that in a second.

I had a dream sometime between falling asleep and waking up for a WILD. It was pretty realistic, and pretty vivid, so I actually thought I was living life in my dream... Normally, I feel like something is...off.I was sitting and working with my computer, possibly on DV. And a friend of mine was there with me, we talked about WILDs.

Okay, my WILD attempt was a failure... I woke up at 4, and moved to the couch, and laid down and closed my eyes, I could see the weird patterns, and then my legs wanted to move, and my arm started to itch. I knew this would happen, so I tried to ignore it. The problem I had was I couldn't keep my breathing steady... I have a cold, so I couldn't breathe through my nose, and when I tried to breathe through my mouth, I felt like coughing... It was too distracting, and then the patterns went away... I just said "screw it" and itched my arm and rolled over to fall asleep....

I'll try again when I'm healthier.

Crap! I tried another WILD last night since I could breathe okay when I went to sleep, and I think I just fell asleep instead of keeping my mind awake... try, try again

I had one or two dreams in between the WILD attempt...

One was my mother had accidentally let the dog outside without a leash and it ran away, except it was just running around in the yard... So I went out there and grabbed her.

The other was me and a friend fighting, and he completely beat the crap out of me...

An update on my sad excuse for a WILD attempt!

Last night, I got closer, but out of reflex, I scratched my nose when it started to itch!

After that, I tried again, but ended up just falling asleep...

Tonight I plan on getting a little more awake then in the past. Because it seems my main problem is just falling asleep...

No dreams last night, at least nothing substantial...

I'm on the right track!!! I was closer to doing a WILD last night, but I still am not waking up enough... I'm gonna take a break from this until the weekend... I'll post how it goes.

I had a dream last night, after the WILD attempt!

I was at a bar or some sort of counter, with a friend of mine, but he had a beard! He doesn't look good with a beard... Anyway, We sat and drank and talked for about fifteen minutes... Nothing special.

Last night, I resisted trying another WILD. Even though I wanted to set my alarm for 4am...

I figured I'm trying to hard.

Instead, I had a normal dream! I was in someones basement, and I was talking to someone. I know this person in real life, but we're not friends. Anyway, with her was a man named Jesus. He looked like Jesus!
In real life, this person and a friend of mine know a man nicknamed "Jesus" because of his long hair and small beard, I assume this Jesus was the Jesus they knew in real life. He was kinda creepy looking, and possibly stoned... Since he wasn't really participating in the conversation, and just staring off into space.

He looked a lot like this in my dream:

In real like, I picture the "Jesus" friend like this:

Okay, I had two last night! The odd thing is, one related to something that had happened the day before, and the other related to something that happened then next day...

First one was a bit shorter, and kinda fuzzy. I was in my house, and I was looking at my bow, and noticed my quiver was empty! I looked around the house, but couldn't find any. Then, on the table I noticed an older looking Native American arrow. I picked it up, and placed it in the quiver and that's where the dream ended.

The next one, I was in a grocery store with a friend, and a girl. (The friend was a person I know in real life, but the girl isn't anyone I've seen. I apparently had a crush on her.) We walked around, not really doing anything, and when I walked by the frozen food section, I got really cold. So the next aisle over, I entered a stance, and I focused my chi to make me warmer. It worked well. (I cant do this in real life... I haven't really tried.)

The way they related to in real life was, the day before, I was talking to my friend, and we were comparing how many weapons we have (I won.) And we were talking about bows.

How it related to the next day was, me and that same friend were talking about chi manipulation and energy and all that. Eventually our conversation lead to the Malaysian Buddhist Monks, who can concentrate, and evaporate water in towels. They put the towels on their shoulders and concentrate on heating that area, and the water starts evaporating. You can see the steam come off of it. (I might be wrong about who can do this, but I know it's possible.)

Woah, crazy how your dream related to the next day.
      Maybe you're psychic!

Sometimes when it's cold out I like to pretend I'm a Buddhist monk. I'm nowhere near their skill level, but when I think about hot things like Hawaii, heat lamps and fireplaces, I feel a bit less cold. I really try to feel the heat on my skin. Thinking about water (even hot water) makes me feel cold, though. If I don't focus on feeling heat, I focus on feeling nothing. "Pfft, it's not cold. I don't feel a frickin' thing. Pansies. It's only 20F out. " Or I just embrace the cold and feel the wind go right through me.

It actually works, although a good part of that may just be my high pain tolerance or some sort of natural resistence I have to the cold. But even when I'm in a skirt and light jacket, people with scarves and winter coats are shivering.
