Thread: Romantic Tokyo Dream

Hello everyone, this is my first post. So I rarely remember my dreams, maybe 10 per year, but when I do, I have some cool ones. I had this dream last night, and I wanted to post it and see if you had any interpretations. After all, this is a dream forum. Also, parts of this dream do pertain to actual events in my life, not really specifically but loosely, and I'm curious to see if you the experts can make a guess. Just for fun, of course. So, here goes:

(Oh, by the way, I'm 25/male.)

I find myself in a bar in Tokyo. I am on a vacation in Tokyo, by myself. My parents have sent me on this vacation to "clear my head." The ceiling is low. The space from side to side in the bar is narrow, maybe 10 feet. It goes back a long ways though, maybe 40 feet. There is a lot of black, glossy styling. I am sitting on a plush, couch-like padded stool, on the corner of the bar, at the end. In other words, the main seating area is the long part of the bar. If you were walking in, the row of stools would be on your left. I am on the short part, facing the entrance door, where there are only 1 or 2 stools.

It is dark in the bar, mostly black colors with metallic accents, some golden lighting, and black and white pictures on the wall. Almost like the inside of a limo. There is a door in front of me which is the entrance, and a door to my left which leads to the restrooms. The bar is completely empty, I am the only one in the bar, aside from the bartender.

She is an impossibly cute and petite asian girl, slightly younger than me, early 20's. I explain to her that I am here on vacation. Extremely romantic feeling. She does not speak english and I do not speak Japanese. We communicate through hand gestures, and I have my booklet of Japanese language which I use clumsily. I ask her when the bar closes, or when she gets off work, implying she should come back to my hotel room with me. (I have no idea where I am staying, or what my room looks like.) She communicates to me 'i don't think so, that's not a good idea', but in a flirty way. We continue talking and I keep getting back to asking when the bar closes and when she is off work. Again she says that's not a good idea.

Cut to car ride. I am in the back seat of a car, driving through Japan. The asian girl is in the passenger seat, and her mother is driving. Her mother speaks some english, but again, the girl does not. We are on a suburban road, which looks like somewhere in America. I make the comment "this is just like America!" The mother is amused and repeats, "oh, just like America!". Cut to driving on freeway. Now we're driving on an elevated freeway. I look to my left, and I see a bunch of roller coasters, and an abandoned Merry-go-round. It is a run down, out of business amusement park. (In real life, I have looked at pictures of abandoned amusement parks on a website. One of them was in an Asian country, I think Vietnam, and in my dream I said to myself, "that is that park.") Finally, the asian girl runs her hands through her hair as to pull it into a pony tail, while she turns to me and says something which her mom translates. She is extremely cute and beautiful. I don't know what it was she said. I look out the front of the car and see big, nice houses on top of a mountain in the distance. That is where they live, and that is where we are presumably going. End of dream.
