      Dream Journal - equidistant

I was reading a few dreams on the dream journals here when I remembered part of a dream I had last night. I'm a bit surprised that I forgot about it. Anyway, I'll start this journal with that.

...My father and I were in a car on a freeway. We were driving back home from a major city at night. I remember it being very very dark. At some point I knew that we somehow got too close to the edge and I told him to stop the car, which he did. Still, I knew that it was too late and we were falling, yet I couldn't feel the usual falling sensations. Nevertheless, I managed to look outside and saw what I expected: metal supports for a network of raised bridges flying up past us as we steadily fell toward the ocean. I began to guide the car falling through the air away from where I assumed the bases for the supports would be, as that would give us a better chance of survival. However, I grew tired of this and decided to leave the situation and wake up.

I've had several dreams like this. I already know what they could mean and it's not cryptic at all (to me). I just wanted to record it here to add something that may be interesting to read

So, this dream was lucid then? How long were you lucid for?

This sort of thing, the part in green text, I've done before. I was in the kitchen and my sis was calling for me down the hall. I was like "whatever". But then I became lucid, for no reason at all, and her calling for me creeped me out. So, I'm like "she's freaking me out, and I'm gonna have to wake up soon anyway." So, I woke up.

Although, I should have made her shut up, after all I can control my dreams, and stayed up as long as possible.

I just sort of stole and modified the color coding Ninja has used. I didn't mention that because I'm a little sleepy and lazy right now.

I was only lucid for the very last bit of the dream (the bit in green). The part in orange is a pre-nightmare. I don't usually get full blown nightmares because I almost always realize I'm dreaming before the freaky stuff starts happening.

I don't have nightmares, but I used have very very scary SP episodes. They were largely caused by my diet and lack of exercise. Since I've changed what I eat and tried to at least get a little walking in, I haven't woken up with "people grabbing me from underneath my bed" in a long long time.

      Sensitive to Bees

Just a bit ago, I drifted off to sleep and had some weirdness greet me on the other side. Some things lead up to this, but I don't remember them anymore.

I was riding on one of those electric 4-wheel vehicles for kids with one other person. We tried to go up a small hill to the house of my childhood but our weight made the vehicle tip over and we just walked up, pulling the thing.

When we got to the door, we had a small child in the vehicle and there was a swarm of bees in front of the door. We walked right through the swarm, entered the house, and closed the door. The person I was with took the child to another room.

Any time I end up in this house, reality falls apart and I know, at least on some level, that I'm dreaming. In this instance, that knowledge didn't do me any good and the dream continued in its strangeness.

A few of the bees had made it into the house and one of them was buzzing around my left ear. Then I heard it whisper something like, "We never have to bother with Vanessa when you're around," as it landed on my ear and moved around.

I woke up realizing that my arm was in an uncomfortable position and that I would have to move. I did try to fight it, but the pain was too distracting and my breathing was very heavy and rapid. I guess the bees freaked me out a little.

Oh, and I have no idea who Vanessa is.

Seems to me like the bee conveyed your pain in RL. Sometimes, things that are happening right there when you are sleeping show up in dream scenarios. I talked about something like this in one thread in a dream.

The only memorable dream I had was me and someone else at a car lot looking at a commercial for the place on a computer window that floated in the air. There seemed to be an argument between a couple fast food employees and their manager in the background. One wanted to be paid some "hidden wages" that the manager had to report and another employee said that they actually waived their right to them and was fine with not getting the money.

The rest of the past 3 hours was me with a stomach ache trying to get comfortable enough to sleep while combinations of random anime characters went by in my head. Apparently I was trying to organize them into some sort of order or sets. I was actually awake for most of that and only got as far as hearing some of the anime characters talk to me and each other arguing about their proper order.

I recall a small part of another dream where I'm opening a mail box that isn't mine. It's kinda big and I get the impression that a girl is living in it even though it's empty when I open it.

OK. I've been really unsuccessful lately, both in having a lucid dream and remembering much of regular dreams. I've also been having a hard time sleeping and really overly tired all day.

I woke up a bit ago after being asleep for six hours. I can only recall main points of my last few dreams: I ate some food from Taco Bell. I was downloading parts of some sort of fan-made model kit of a person, but kept getting the wrong head and one of them talked to me. Something smelled really bad (I think it was my breath in reality because my face was in my pillow).

I also remember watching some sort of video about some women on spring break. It was mostly about this one really tough, but almost childishly cute looking woman with medium length dark hair wearing a blouse and black denim overall shorts (shortalls). She was talking to the camera and seemed to be leading her group of friends. The last few scenes of that were of her jumping in the ocean, which was pretty brown looking, and swimming around with her friends and a few guys they were flirting with. Everyone was clothed, so I found it a bit funny.

Blah. I've been doing reality checks in real life like mad, but I seem to always forget while in my dreams.

Nothing was very detailed (again) and I just remember having a dream where I was in some room with a few people, male and female, and a few couples were having sex. One woman I found quite attractive, but she walked off before I could talk to her and she started having sex with some guy.

Then I had a bit of a false awakening to that house I grew up in (sigh). An old co-worker was sitting on the couch in my living room. I guess he had been visiting and stayed the night. I talked to him about my crazy dream and the class I was taking at night I told him about how someone we both used to work with was in the dream and the class (which is true for the class in real life).

Then I believe I woke up feeling really stupid for not realizing I had been dreaming. I went back to sleep a little bit later and had a strange dream that I was walking around with a woman in what looked like my middle school. She went away for a bit and came back with two other people (a man and another woman) and told me to follow her lead. She then proceeded to talk to me as if I were her servant, telling me to pick things up for her, clean things, etc.

Somehow this all turned into a contest to pick up and read random pages in as many books as possible. The books I looked at all had legible titles and text within (I have no idea why text in my dreams tends to be perfectly legible). I remember picking up a number of books and seeing that at least 5 of them were a series of graphic novels based on "The Prisoner."

I was leading the contest and the woman of the couple that was introduced started hitting me and trying to knock me to the ground. She kept trying really cheap, dirty fighting tricks and I was soon sitting on the ground. She then tried to grab my balls and squeeze them, but all she did was grab the end of my penis and squeeze, saying "you have really hard balls." I ended up breaking free and threw her head against a wall and she left me alone to go looking through the books again.

Just before I woke up, the scene seemed to change to my old bedroom in the house I grew up in. All four of us were there, still looking through books, but I could see two more people in a corner: a popular Japanese idol and a random anime school girl. They were working together to try to beat me and the three people I was with.

I'm disappointed in myself because I really should have noticed I was dreaming in all of these... 1. I don't get invited to orgies. 2. The house I grew up in is three states away and burned down. 3. I don't have friends, especially old co-workers--once I leave a place, people never talk to me again. 3. My middle school is also three states away. 4. Four people in the courtyard of a middle school scrambling to pick up lots of books and stack them for no reason doesn't make any sense! 5. A woman tried to grab my balls, but got my penis instead... kept squeezing it... and didn't realize she wasn't holding my testicles or even hurting me. The Japanese idol and anime school girl did make things seem a little odd and, had I stayed asleep, I would probably have done a reality check soon after I saw them.

I can't seem to sleep more than a total of six hours, but I seem to have gotten my schedule similar to a normal person's. I was able to work out a little yesterday, and that helped me stay awake. I wasn't even really tired after being awake for about 18 hours, and I actually was worried that I wouldn't be able to get to sleep last night. So, that's different from my all-day grogginess. Maybe I'm getting deeper sleep and that's why I'm not getting the dreams I usually do.

I have a friend who says he can read clearly in his dreams too. I can't really remember any dreams in which I tried to read.

I've been quite busy and my schedule has been very random the past few days. I've been sleeping after 3 a.m. and waking up between 10 and noon. I had some tests later in the day and I wanted to wake up late enough to not be sleepy by the time I had to take them. Now I need to re-adjust again to sleeping at night instead of in the morning.

I had a dream a while back... I wasn't lucid, but I was messing with people. I would fly around into cars and make scary sounds like a ghost or something. sometimes I was visible, sometimes I wasn't.

One guy did see me and tried to set fire to the back seat of his car where I was. I grabbed the piece of wood he threw back there and stuck it in his lap. He jumped out of the car and it ended up stopping on some grass by a fence.

I was kinda bored and I guess I realized I was dreaming. I got ready to fly and was sorta worried that I may not be able to. But I unintentionally visualized a force sweeping me up from behind. kinda curving up from the ground. That might be something those having trouble with flying can try. Actually, I remember thinking about that and having the intention of writing about it here.

Nothing much came of my small bit of lucidity. I landed in a "corn field" that wasn't stalks of corn, but a whole field of corn growing out of the ground like it would on a cob. silly.

I'm really starting to wonder why my mind has such power over my disbelief when I'm dreaming.

A few minutes ago, I was a passenger in my car talking to someone on a nonexistent phone. That person was the one driving the car (which was moving fine through traffic), but I also saw that person in their own car cross the intersection ahead of me.

I realized something wasn't right (but not well enough) and said, "Uh. We kinda have a problem here. You're driving me to work and I'm asleep, but you're also driving yourself to work. So, there's really nobody driving the car I'm in," as I looked over at the empty driver's seat.

He said something and laughed and it was suddenly early morning and I was waking up in my car, still in the passenger's seat and the car was moving. I groggily moved over to the driver's seat, fastened my seatbelt, and noticed that my windshield was really fogged up. I turned on the wipers and could finally see a bit. I tried to follow traffic as best I could, but it was dark and hard to see.

I finally realized I hadn't turned my headlights on, so I turned them on and realized I had gone past my turn. I also realized that it was 6:07 on my dashboard clock and I was going to work MUCH too early. Actually, I didn't know if it was too early because I didn't know what time I was supposed to go to work (which is actually because I don't have a job right now in RL) so I was just confused. I turned at a dead end and started to backtrack home and woke up.

I recognized that impossible things were happening, but simply awakened falsely to a similarly impossible situation. I failed to recognize that I was in a different city and had no memory of traveling there. I'm not sure why, but my mind is really cruel to me and I feel very stupid now.

Looks like I've abandoned this thing.

I just don't really care about anything anymore.

      I'm sick of life.

I have no goals, no desires...

I just want to be left alone.

If anyone out there knows some sort of mad scientist who wants to save someone by putting their brain in someone else's body, I'll volunteer as a test body. I'm not going to do anything with my life, so why not let someone else have it?

I guess you can PM me or something with offers.
