      Something Smells Fishy

      I decided to start a Dream Journal after seeing all the amazing DJs on this site, so here goes!

      Normal dreams in Normal. Black. Whatever.
      Lucid dreams in Blue
      Nightmares in Red.
      Comments in Orange.

      Dream Statistics:

      Dreams recalled every night: 0-2.
      VILDs = 0
      DILDs = 0
      WILDs = 0

      (All the numbers are 0 because I'm counting from the start of the Dream Journal, which has just started. )

      Dream Goals:

      Take a train to Hell.
      Fly
      Do lots of fancy fireball tricks that hopefully kill everyone in the room.
      Have a conversation spanning over a minute with a Dream Character
      Get recall up to at least 2-3 dreams a night.
      Do more VILDs successfully.
      Turn into a vampire or werewolf.

      Lucid Task of the Month: Not completed. If I complete it I'll post it here.

      Dream 1

      I'm at a cemetary with my grandmother and several beautiful dogs. I just know they're my pets.I also know that they are really intelligent. I leave the dogs to go get sweets. but I only have one penny. Suddenly I'm at the sweet shop. I ask the girl at the counter what I can get for one penny. She says "Quite a bit." She fills cup after cup full of sweets. I take them and suddenly I'm back at the cemetary. I hide the sweets under my coat to show respect for the dead. The dogs are gone. I ask my grandmother where they are. She says she doesn't know and drifts away.

      On the other side of a highway I see a old white-haired policeman in uniform. I start crossing the highway to ask him if he's seen the dogs. I keep falling down, and old Beetle cars keep almost killing me. Finally I get to the other side, and ask him where they are. He says "they're down at the D-end right there," and points down the street. I start walking.

      I get to a factory. Two men walk by and I ask them, but they laugh at me. Next thing I can remember I'm with the dogs and they are sniffing at some bag. Out pops a villanous old woman and a cartoon mouse.

      I can't remember the rest so well, but it involved Pinky and the Brain, a plan to get out of the country, moving house, a death sentence that Pinky and the Brain got, and a cake ( to get out of prison, I think).

      Dream 2

      The dream was about an autistic kid who was rapidly deteriorating and for soime reason couldn't recognize his classmates. His parents kept hitting each other.

      That first dream sounds pretty nifty.

      Nice title, too.

      Fragment

      Something about Zelda being a good chess player. I was in a really creepy house.

      I tried unsuccessfully to VILD when I woke up this morning, I was still feeling a bit sleepy. I tried to visualise a scene with lots of werewolves in it, but my actual senses kept overiding the visualization. Buuut the dream was about werewolves, so I'd like to think it half-worked.

      Dream 1

      I was in a hotel with a cousin of mine. We kept bumping into one another in a hallway. My cousin looked unbelievable - suave, stylish, elegant, had an angel's grace. I commented that he would make an excellent vampire, and informed him that if he was a vampire, I was a werewolf, because I felt so... hairy. Inferior. Like a mongrel dog next to a beautiful Egyptian cat. Then we began talking about whether our personality styles really matched a vampire and a werewolf.

      Dream 2

      A big screen filled my vision. I was playing a zombie game, Left 4 Dead I think. I recently got that game. I was at 1/100 health, but I was massacring them all. My teammates had been killed by a big troll. I played the game for a while, then suddenly I was physically in the game, with the same cousin as the first dream I think. With someone, anyway. We had to get to the beack and shoot a bazooka at some big gong-like thing, which would apparently kill all the zombies. But first we got into a car to outrun all these big trolls who were chasing us. In Left 4 Dead there are trolls somewhat like these. I was navigating the GPS, and it was awful. But somehow my cousin knew where to drive to. We got to the beach and started running. I was moving like I was wading through mud - it was really hard to lift my feet. And my sweater was really tight. A huge mob of zombies engulfed the beach. A miniscreen in my vision opened up and I saw the zombies making a huge mound on top of my cousin, probably eating him. I grabbed a bazooka from some teenager that was standing there (this made me laugh when I woke up, though I don't believe I didn't get lucid from it) and started running. Soon, the zombies made a circle around me and started closing in.

      I woke up.

      I didn't label that one as a nightmare for two reasons - first, all the way through it I felt curiously dead and emotionless, not frightened. Second, It all looked like a game.

      I'm pretty sure I had a nightmare but, luckily, I don't remember it. All I know is that I woke up feeling awful.

      I can't remember anything other than snowboarding, being on a The Apprentice-like program, someone being unpatriotic and clinical mental illness.

      Yes, my dreams are strange.
