Wonderful...no more messy handwriting and misplaced notebooks ;) . I have HORRIBLE dream recall, mostly remembering the last few moments or random images and strange events, and I almost never remember actual conversations. Hopefully this will help that all change...:)
The past 3 nights/early this mornings I had PLENTY of dreams. Unfortunately, I waited til now when all the images are stale..ugh.
5/27-29/09
WEDNESDAY-Well it was already taking me a while to get to sleep..too many thoughts running rampant up there. I suddenly got really comfortable and started hearing the faint ringing and feeling the body-tingling that usually results in sleep paralysis. It wasn't anything new, so I just let it happen as it eventually got stronger. I kept myself occupied and away from getting too excited by thinking of random images. One sensation/image I got stuck on was of being inside an ocean wave, until I kindof started to feel the pull and crash. The vibrations and ringing noise became much stronger, and for a moment the actual ocean I had been feeling appeared as a vivid visualization. But this was quickly pushed aside by many random faces, all menacing and most of them very grotesque. I'm guessing these were hypnagogic images, but for the life of me couldn't understand why they were all negative...it's been a good minute since I've seen a horror movie or anything like that...I remember one of them had a lot of deep cuts on his face, and another was in the form of the joker, just not as colorful. Of course I tried to stay calm and trick myself into imagining other things and not getting afraid..didn't work. All the while there was a distant man's voice yelling "left..left, right left!!" military style. NO IDEA where that came from..
Somehow in the midst being in that in-between consciousness and dream-state, I realized my tongue was outside of my teeth, of which I was extremely grateful hadn't been bitten off yet. I slowly pulled my tongue in hoping it won't interrupt all that's going on...to no avail. Everything stopped, the vibrations eased, and the ringing quieted almost completely. Oh well..
THURSDAY-I had a lucid dream..WILD.
Unlike the night before, the sleep paralysis thing worked, though I have no idea how I pulled through. All I remember is that I wasn't too sure if I was awake or dreaming as I had a muddled sense of getting up and walking around my room (I think to the computer) then appearing back in my bed again. It wasn't really like false awakening because I could barely even see, everything was just all mushed together. Then somehow I was floating up towards the ceiling..but not above my bed, more near the doorway. And the rest played out as a dream.
I remember being inside a bright room that kindof resembled a funhouse; very surreal stuff. I was lucid, so I started playing around with objects, like making a little dolphin appear in my hands and turning it green..then switching it to an envelope or something of the sort. Then I flew, and wanted to escape from the room completely, but every time I went through the ceiling, there would be another colorful room there waiting. I did this countless times and started thinking I was trapped in my own limited imagination. Why couldn't I escape the boundaries I was placing upon myself? I felt so disappointed that I couldn't even accomplish a simple maneuver like flying out of a room, and started to feel as if I was in limbo. Just as I got to the point of anger, I woke up.
FRIDAY- One thing that keeps repeating is the presence of all my school peers. I just graduated highschool, and I guess the lack of nostalgia in my "real world" is pushed in full force in my subconscious mind. All I can remember is that in one dream we were playing a sort of treasure-hunt/obstacle course type game, but very violent. I think everyone had two small boys that were like their bodyguards, but mine died for some reason. I was the last to progress on to the next room, so I went on an elevator and changed clothes [I somehow end up naked or half-naked in a lot of my dreams]. Then when it got on the roof, my best friend was in a room up there, and she kept getting scared of some bugs that kept flying around her. I watched, and even started thinking I was making the bugs land on her, until they came over to me, which immediately made me back out the room. Also, some guy was going around with bags of weed and passing them out. He handed me one and I wondered if he was going to pass me a dutch too [[mind I had no intention of smoking the stuff]], but of course it just appeared in my hands.
Scene changes as I'm on my way to some birthday party, only It seemed like the girl was much younger than me. I went in and someone pointed me to the room where she and her friends were in, and when I went in it was only her. She closed the door and told me I have to snort some bottled spray (looked like allergy medicine) into both nostrils so I could melt into the vent and appear in the other room, where her friends were smoking weed from the guy I mentioned previously. {they were like 10 year-olds!}. I was reluctant at first, tried melting into the vent without the spray. I then had a brief moment of lucidity as I realized it couldn't possibly hurt me, then went along and sniffed the spray and dissolved into the vent. When I appeared, they started putting ice cream--cold stone style--onto a long stick and put it in my mouth. Tasted good.
Another scene change..I can't remember anything that was happening until there were about four people, alongside myself, laying down watching tv in a large bed. One guy was drinking, one girl was giving an old friend of mine nasty looks and scooting away from her, while my friend was sad and embarrassed that someone didn't like her.
Yet ANOTHER scene change, and I'm up in the mountains somewhere. Me and my cousin go into a nick-nack tourist shop inside the village mall, and every time we look at something or try to pick it up it changes (should've known I was dreaming at that point). I asked the cashier to give us some strange-looking glasses for my cousin to try on, but one of them turned into a hole-puncher..go figure..finally we got glasses, but he put two of them together and we were cracking up because he looked like a mix between darthvader and kanye west. All of a sudden he disappears and my earlier-mentioned best friend is next to me, and someone walks in, whom she said hi to, knowing him as josh. When she said his name I thought I knew him as well, then his face changed, and started to look like a poet I had seen much earlier on youtube. I got so excited and had so many things to say...but when I said hi he turned around and left. Hm..
Wow I just realized how long this post is..=]
