I had a five hour energy drink at about 5:30 yesterday, and I went to bed three and a half hours later. The side effects were... rather interesting. But at least it gave me some pretty cool dreams.
1- If the Phone Rings
I am in some kind of store, and a cat is ceaselessly chasing a mouse/rat all over the place. It hades under my hand, but when I pick it up it starts biting me. It hurts very badly, so I put it back on the floor as gently as possible. Unfortunately, the cat leaps out at that very moment and kills it.
Later, I am inside a house that I apparently used to own. It is nighttime, and there is something there that I have to do. I start imagining what might happen to me if this were a dream. ((Someone, please slap me as hard as you can.)) I think it would be really freaky if someone called the (disconnected) house phone and said, "I'm in the house."
I go to the front door and see that I left it open. "Oh no," I said to myself, "any number of things could have gotten in here..." I am thinking along the lines of raccoons and squirrels, but it also occurs to me that a person could have gotten in as well. Then the phone rings. ((Okay, I deserve far worse than a slap for this...)) I know it is a bad idea, but I cross the room to the phone. Somehow I just KNOW that Krueger is going to be on the other end. Just before I pick it up, someone in dark robes bursts into the room and starts shooting at me. I scream and take cover, only to find that it is my idiot brother.
We somehow end up at my grandma's house, and she has just stocked up on food. She says she refuses to go to the grocery store again before she dies, so this food will have to last until then.
((There was really NO excuse whatsoever for not becoming lucid in that dream.))
2- The Phantom
It's dark, and I'm trying to fight something. I turn into a creature called the Phantom, but I can't see very well, so I change back to my normal self and summan a winged person with "alabaster hair" to fly me to safety. ((His hair was red, but that's how I referred to him in the dream. Apparently I thought he was a character out of one of my books.))
Later, I am dancing with someone who looks like Hatter Madigan (from a book I'm reading.) There is no music, so he hums a tune from the movie "Coraline." Despite the weirdness, it is oddly romantic.
