Three wheeling
Best dreamsign recognized (sort of) but not quite Lucid
This is a dream I had after my second ten minute WBTB last night.
It starts out that I have a three wheeler, and I have it a shop for a tune up or something. (I actually have a four wheeler and motocross bike in real life, but no three wheeler.) I'm sitting on a bench waiting for the mechanics to get to me. But I then decide to take the three wheeler outside and play with it while I'm waiting.
I get outside, there is a motocross race track outside the building. There is a teenage boy and girl talking. They are having an odd conversation about a friend of theirs that had recently died, and about how much crying that they have been doing.
I get on the three wheeler and start racing around the track. There is one really steep jump with a near vertical ramp. I hit it kind of experimentally, a little nervous about getting too much air. (Not really sure how the three wheeler will handle on big jumps)
It feels pretty smooth, and my confidence builds. I take another lap, avoiding some of the big double jumps. But I soon make it around to that to that huge steep jump again.
This time I hit it a bit faster, and get some really big air. I manage to somehow mange to land it without breaking my neck. Now, I have a lot more confidence and hit the next jump at a good pace. I get good air, but I'm a bit out of whack. instead of trying to straighten it out, I lean into it doing a complete barrel roll in the air, then land perfectly. I then punch it and hit the next big double jump at speed, but I jump so far that miss the intended landing ramp. But I land smoothly on the landing ramp of the next set of doubles instead.
Quite impressed with myself now, I can hardly believe how good I am at this. I punch it, leaning into the curve of the sandy burm corner. I now approach the really big, steep jump again. Just then two of the mechanics come out of the shop, to watch me. Now, with my new found confidence, and my desire to show off, I race towards the big jump with throttle wide open.
I hit it, and rocket straight upwards, higher and higher. Until I'm far above the tallest trees, and look down at the track, and people, far below. I shout down to them." If this was a dream, I would be getting Lucid right now!" I hear one of them shout back at me. " You better do a reality check!" I think that this is a good idea, even though I'm completely convinced that this is real this time.
I pinch my nose and can breath. I'm so convinced that this is real, that I think that it's just a crazy coincidence that I can breath. However, I do it again and can still breath.
Even though I still don't really believe it, I'm not planning to stop reality checking until I prove to myself beyond doubt that it's not a dream.
It doesn't really matter though, because I wake up while still in the process of doing reality checks.
