      Smartyx101's Dream Journal

Okay, I am going to start a dream journal so I can find similarities in my dreams. For example, for a week or so I had a few dreams with Harry Potter recurring in them. If I write them down, maybe it will help me to become lucid.

The Kids and the Museum (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Not a lot of details since I had it a few days ago, but here it is. Luckily I wrote it down, mostly.

The year was probably anywhere from the 1950s to 1970s. A group of second grade kids went into a museum for a field trip or something. Somehow they were able to work on a display for Ancient Egypt. It was very high, maybe 30 feet, and had four sides. The kids began to work on it, painting and stuff. It was looking surprisingly good. On the top there were white Egyptian statues, which were alive when looked at. On the side to the right of that was a surface almost like clay, and one kid began to scrape away some parts to create a triangle in the center. The side to the right of that I never really saw, and I think the side to the left of the white wall was a classic Egyptian painting style.

The kids were at work when the owner or something came in and stopped the project. He wanted it more professionally done. The director of the project was angry, and had to break it to the kids. Some of the kids were older than they appeared. One kid was a teen from a school in the navy, and was tall and a bit geek-like. There was a fat kid who said he was really 32. Weird, I know. Then there was a little kid with big, thick, spiky blonde hair. He was my favorite. There was also a 'cool guy' kid, with dark hair and a smile. Like the kid from 'Karate Kid'. So the project was done and the kids left.

Then there was a time montage. A few months later there was the new display, boring and unoriginal, with navy walls. Over time it was knocked down, rebuilt, and painted to suit the theme of the display. Finally it was about twenty years later and the walls were knocked down once more. The scene looked more like a library now.

The former director was holding a book. I don't remember the title. There was a picture of a little boy, which was the spikey haired kid, leaning against a brick wall with a baseball jacket and glove. It was in black and white. He was trying to remember who he was, asking people if he knew.

Another man came over and pulled out a book in front of him. There was a picture of a man
(who looked like Billy Bob Thornton in my opinion.) on a pitchers mound, ready to pitch, in a similar jacket to the one on the old book. The caption read: "The longly overdue sequel to that second grade novel." Then he began to cry.

I woke up then, and to my surprise, I was crying. This dream was so well thought out I may just write a story about it. A short story, probably, but something. I was truly crying. This remains my favorite dream to date.

I won't put the details too much in this one because it was a little perosnal, but there was a man crossing a bridge, and when he got to the end there was a number of things wrong. I don't know about the others, but there was one I remember. There was a disney-like glove with about 8 fingers on it. A voice said something was wrong with it. The man said it was only supposed to have four, and...he said it must have been a dream. Even though it wasn't me, I think that this was my first successful reality check! Then he said that who's dream was it. Me, knowing I had become lucid, was trying to keep it calm, and even had the man say it slowly, but eventually the dream faded and I woke up.
