      Spliph's Dream Journal

Well, I thought I would write my dream journal on the forum. During night, I take short notes on my dreams, then elaborate somewhat during the day.
Personally, I find that just taking the time to write the notes down allows me to remember most of my dream.

I've had no memories of dreams for about the last 5 years, so I hope you can understand my excitement about finally remembering them again. Reading up on REM cycles and such made me much more aware of dream patterns during the night. I am also a huge fan of WBTB (it just feels soooo good ).

Anyway, most of my dreams have gaping holes in them that I just can't remember, but anything I remember once I am awake to write the notes down, is rather clear. So, hope you all like my dreams, and if you notice a noobish mistake I repeat in my dreams/upon waking, please don't hesitate to comment.

      Here goes...

Trouble at the Wedding - 24/08/09 - WBTB

The dream starts off at my sister's wedding, which recently took place. I can't remember much of the beginning of the dream (high as a kite = shitty recall) but I do remember that at a certain point at the wedding, three tall, strong guys show up. Somehow, upon seeing them, I don't feel very secure, and start being a bit anxious. I quickly dismiss my troubles and try to enjoy the party and be happy for my sister, who looked so beautiful and happy (quite like IRL).

Sometime after seeing the three strange dudes, I notice them standing at the side, away from the whole crowd, looking at everyone very suspiciously. This made me, once again, very uneasy. Suddenly, one of them waves to someone, and a fourth unknown dude joins them. I can't remember what they looked like, but I remember all of them being tall and rather frightening. Once the newest addition had shaken hands with the other three, they leaned against the wall and began whispering and pointing at my sister's husband.

At this point, I was convinced that they were up to no good, and a certain rush of panic came over me. I decided to go ahead and ask them what their business was and why were they staying at a side, plotting something involving my new brother-in-law.

NOTE: It was at this point that I realized that my body was not quite the way I was used to it. Had I been more trained in lucidity, I would have realized instantly that this was a dream, but some ridiculous yet rock solid logic explained the unusual body.
I felt very strong, flexible and knew I could fight my way out of nearly anything. The fear I felt at the beginning of the dream was more of my family, present in its entirety at the wedding, rather than for my own skin.

As I began making my way across to the group of guys, I glanced around, and saw a very strange figure, on a chair, a certain distance away from the crowd, at the other end of the room. I noticed that the mystery man could not see the suspicious four, for the crowd of people was right between them. As I stopped and looked at the man, he looked right at me, into my eyes, and shook his head slowly as to tell me not to go talk to the four.

Something in the way he looked, and the way he looked at me, as if he knew exactly what I was about to do, made me stop to think about indeed, what was I going to do? At this point, I feel something crucial happened, but I just can't remember what it is... I think someone close to me got hurt, I would guess either my sister or her husband. I also know that it was pretty serious, because I think I either beat one of the Sus 4 badly, or actually killed him. Without doubt, the Sus 4 were the cause. Thinking about it now, I think I did kill him, but I also think that it was unintentional. This whole part is nearly a void in my mind, I just remember something bad happened, I went after the one (that I was sure of, there was the ONE that had committed whatever it was that happened) and gotten to him, and probably done away with him too...

I guess that I chased the 4 to their "hide-out", got inside, and go to the one because from this point I remember the dream, and the surroundings were different. Tall oblong buildings, with dirty backstreets and fire escape ladders. The general scenery was very gray and shabby looking. The exact point from which I can remember clearly again was busting through a door and running for my life, with three pursuing me. I knew they were out to kill me, for whatever reason, there were only three after me, and they wanted my life.

So I ran, as fast as I could, with the three never far behind. I knew that I could not outrun them, for they would chase me forever, nor could I hide from them, for they would search forever, and therefore I knew that the only thing left for me to do was to kill them off. All three of them. This was burned into my mind, but I felt no pity or remorse, I knew they were sick and twisted, and that the World would not miss such vile things.

I got into a building, hoping to hide and recover my breath, but just as I made it up the stairs and into a corridor with doors of apartments on both my sides (very Matrix-like, I would say), I heard the three running up the stairs after me. They were very persistent and ever since I had left their hide-out, I was feeling a slight fear for my life because I knew that if they where to catch me, it would be the end. Feeling cornered in the building, I ran into a random apartment and to the fire exit. With a huge leap, I jumped from the ladder and landed on the opposing balcony.

I made it up to the roof, and still the three were after me. By this time, it was night and I felt very much ninja-ish, feeling I could melt into the shadow at certain spots where it was black enough. I tried, but the three seemed very ninja-ish as well, hearing any creak and checking every corner once they had lost me from view. I was beginning to tire out and knew I would need to sleep somewhere.

I sat a bit on a roof where there was a very dark spot, with no light whatsoever. After a while, I began feeling like I was about to fall asleep, and just as I was blinking slowly, I heard a gentle thud and looked around. One of the three was on the roof with me, but he had not seen me, he was just checking the area. I thought this would be a good opportunity to strike and take another one out, but I was very tired, and soon after I made out two more shapes leaping from roof to roof only a few houses away. I knew I couldn't strike now, and slowly dropped over the edge of the roof. The building was tall, and at that point I can clearly recall the sensation of falling down, but in my dream, there was no fear, I was very confident.

I landed softly on the ground in the backstreet, and saw a little opening in the side of the building. I crawled up in there and stood very still. I could see nearly nothing, it was so dark. After a while, I began drifting to sleep again and then he came. It turned out that he was the same mysterious man from the wedding that told me not to approach the four. He looked exactly like Kenny Florian (UFC fighter, recently had a big fight that he lost) but he told me he was the brother of my brother-in-law (IRL he doesn't have a brother) and that he was also trying to get rid of the three.

Again, here is a gap because I can't remember at all why, nor what they had done, which seemed the same reason I had gone after them in the first place. He was crouched in front of me and he was whispering to me very quietly.

He: "Yes, I know they are bad, and like I said, I want them gone too... Are you really going to kill them?"
      I: "Yes"
      He: "All three of them?"
I: "There is no other choice, they have marked me for death"
He: "I see, well, I guess we can work together"

At this point, over his shoulder I saw three shadows drift from the wall and move towards us.

      I: "They are here!"
He: "I know they are, stay quiet"

I stood so still, I thought my heart would stop. I was in no way covered, it was only a very dark little spot I was in. The three approached.

They: "Hey, what are you doing here?"
      He: "Sleeping, leave me alone"
They: "Have you seen the blond one? Where is he?"
He: "No idea what you are talking about, and if you don't leave me alone, I will kill you all"
      They: "Ok, chill man, FFS"

They turned and left. He told me to get some rest, but I was so shocked beyond belief that they had not seen me that I could do nothing but stare.

He: "You need to sleep if you want to fight"

With that, sleep overcame me and I fell asleep, just to wake up IRL 30mins before work and jumping up to get ready. Just when I jumped up, I felt the feelings that were still inside me. Fear, Anger, Gratefulness, Sadness, Joy and excitement, for I could remember certain details from my dream with intense clarity. Please note that I remember much more clearly the end of my dream, the dialog is like a scene from a movie, only it was first person. I wish I could remember the crucial event at the wedding, but that seemed so far away when I was trying to remember. I sat back on my bed and grabbed my notebook and wrote down a bunch of key points.

      -Sisters wedding
-Unwelcome guests (three + 1 later)
      -Trouble (can't remember)
      -Flight for my life
      -Three pursuers (four at wedding?)
      -Marked for death
-Knew I had to kill or be killed
      -Ninja flight
-Kenny Florian to help out (M's brother? WTF?) <- I really laughed at this one, i mean, c'mon, Kenny Florian? Roflmao

NOTE: Just writing down half of that triggered my memory and I was able to remember some scenes in vivid detail. Even though I did not write the details down, I kept day dreaming about my WBTB dream the whole day today, and some pieces slowly came back, like seeing the mystery man at the wedding before seeing him in the backstreet. The feelings that the dream left in me, I will never forget. Such determination can only be felt my someone who knows it's either kill or be killed.

I guess I would have been able to remember more of it if I hadn't jumped up, but I was running late and my alarms didn't wake me for some reason. This was after my 6h of sleep prior to my WBTB and about 3h after going back to bed for my WBTB.

As far as I can remember, this was one of my most vividly remembered dreams ever. The WBTB was awesome, the overwhelming comfort of going back to bed after a peanut butter cookie with milk and a ciggy in the fresh morning air. I am feeling that I might be becoming addicted to dreaming, now that I remember them once again. Actually, I think I'm more addicted to WBTB

      Well, that's all folks!

PS: Holy poop! This is a long bastard... But I guess nothing less would do, it was so intense and so real! It was very much like a movie, only one where you fall asleep and thus don't remember some important part. Much more dramatic than the mini dreams I've been having for the past 5 years and incomparably richer in details as well as longer by about, lets see, ten times? Lol, loved it, can't wait for tomorrow's WBTB.

      I was a King.

I had my own castle and I was King. for some reason, I shared half the castle with my arch enemy who also turned out to be my brother.
I had to rescue my little sister from his half of the castle and so I set out to go see him and ask to be allowed to get my sister back.

He seemed not to know me, but noticed a broken shackle on my wrist and thus recognized me as as his brother. It must have had a lot of meaning to him.

He was well dressed, in clean black and red clothes and looked very kingish. He wore a sword at his side. It had a red hilt. He was not very tall, rather like me, but was dark haired, which was a bit odd for a brother of mine. I was the smallest of the group, but I was the leader and my friends stood by me as I spoke to my enemy.

I explained the situation and after a few moments hesitation, he allowed me to access his castle-half, but we had to take the "secret passage". He gave us a guide and we followed him. He led us back to my castle-half and to a tiny little hole somewhere.

The passage was very odd. It was like two stair cases one upside down over another upright and there was only about a foot of space between the two. As I followed my guide into the tight tunnel, I realized my friends would have to stay behind being too large to fit in the claustrophobic passage. I made it about half way through the tunnel when I awoke.

In this dream, I was playing the cello with a bunch of other guys.

We were playing a cover of Metallica's Unforgiven and I was eagerly explaining to my band mates how power chords would enhance the sound.

I clearly remember being able to play very well even though I play guitar in real life. I was very interested by this dream, pondering over whether I should pick up cello, but it somehow never really turned me on.

Cant remember much of the rest.

      First lucid!!!

As I was falling asleep, I kept reminding myself to do reality checks as soon as something turned up.

I was standing in my living room, and I thought, how odd, I was in my bed only a few moments ago. I did a nose RC and became lucid.

Upon lucidity, excitement hit me like a train. The whole dream began to shake and fall apart in front of me. I focused and tried to fly. I inhaled and began to hover. At this point, excitement was too strong to be kept at bay, and the whole dream shook apart in front of my eyes and I awoke.

The excitement upon waking was second to none that I have ever felt. The idea of total control was so overwhelming, the awesome mood persisted throughout the day and still is in my heart and mind
