The awesome lucid dreaming storeI was on a bus. I looked out the window to discover I was being driven through an empty parking lot. I spotted a small red shop with the name, "The Awesome Lucid Dream Shop". I found this interesting, and as I looked, a car passed between I and the shop. I discovered that the store now read, "The Mickey Mouse Gift Shop". At this point, I became suspicious, and performed a reality check. It failed, and my finger slipped into my hand.
I was in absolute shock, for the scene looked so realistic. I turned around to face my cousin, M, with my finger still lodged in my hand, and said, "Look M, I'm dreaming again!". She merely gave me the Mona Lisa smile she always does when I alude to the dreamscape around her. (:))
I quickly lost lucidity.
Genie
I WILDed into a two story house. This was the shared home of three college students, two men and one woman. I had a blast following them around the house, granting their every wish.
Conversations with a DC
I once again WILDed into the college student's house. I went upstairs into a bedroom, and M was there. My mother came in, and I decided to listen to their conversation. M said, "He can't stay unless he does the dishes." and my mom said, "Now M, remember that (Garbled Nonsense)" Needless to say, I cracked up.:rolllaugh:
Yay you've started a journal! Bummer about losing lucidity in that first dream. It would've been cool to jump off the bus and go look at what was in the shop :)
I'm used to it by now. :D Thanks for responding, by the way.
3 more amazing lucid dreams in one nap, courtesy of my amazing mind. :D
Excuse me while I kiss the sky
I was at my grandparent's house. Something caused me to do a reality check and...
I came to the conclusion that I was dreaming! I rubbed my hands together to stabilize the dream, and just took everything in. I was amazed at the clarity of the dreamscape. (For privacy reasons, I'm not going to describe my grandparents' house. ;)) I decided to attempt skydiving again, and spun until all the imagery washed out. As my spinning slowed, I thought of a plane cabin, and I saw an open door. Ecstatic that I had finally entered a flying plane. I created a parachute and jumped out. For the few seconds that I retained consciousness, it was exhilarating. Then, I blacked out.
House of my dreams
I was in a very large 2 story house. All my family was there. Another reality check confirmed that I was dreaming, and I spent some time passing my fingers through objects around the house. I tried stepping through a mirror a couple of times, and blacked out again.
Siblings!
I was in my own house now. I found that I, contrary to life, had many brothers and sisters, so I performed another reality check and found that I was once again dreaming. I contemplated kissing one of my "sisters", but my moral ethics were too strong.:P Walking around, I focused intensely on the objects I saw, and found that the point I stared at was being sucked into another dimension. Very hard to picture, I know. The 3 inch by three inch point of my focus looked as if it was collapsing in upon itself. I tried to touch it, but was sidetracked. I tried spinning to daytime, so I could find a stranger to talk to, as per my lucid goal, but I heard someone calling me and decided that it was best to wake up.
Hope that whoever eventually stumbles upon my journal enjoyed this entry. :)
Awesome LD's! Hope hope have more! :rainbow:
Thanks for posting.
Where the Wild Things Are
I was in the forest, being chased by some ferocious creature. (Think Tasmanian Devil) I told myself I was dreaming, and turned to face the creature. It turned out to be a small, furry little creature trying to lick me. :)
Dream computer (Sorry for the uninventive title:oops:)
I WILDed into my room and accessed the desktop computer, to see what data my mind stored. After a half a minute or so, I woke up.
Lol,
Wow your dreams are hilarious! Good luck with more lucid dreaming!
=D
Thank you! It seems SOME people are interested in my brain's runoff.
I seem to be getting good at WILD. I do it in the mornings after I wake up.
An interview with Malio 10/11/09
I WILDed into a department store. The colors seemed over-saturated, and were changing tone, so I rubbed my hands in order to stabilize the dream. I decided to pursue my goal of interviewing a dream character, so I walked over to a middle-eastern woman. I said, "Hello. What is your name?"
"Malio" She replied, averting her eyes.
"Nice to meet you. What do you do for a living?"
She seemed very uncomfortable with these questions, and quickly walked away without response.
I shrugged and walked around. I attempted to create a ball of golden energy between my hands, but had no such luck. My grandmother was standing off to the side, and I figured I'd make her have strange dreams. (I'm not entirely sure why I thought she was dreaming with me...) I picked up some playdough that children off to the side were playing with, and said, "Grandma, eat this playdough."
"What?" She remarked.
"Okay, then shove your head in a toilet!"
At this, she looked even more confused. I somehow found myself outside the store, and when I attempted to spin myself back into it, I insted ended up walking around in my mother's room. I figured I had woken up. After a few confused seconds, I woke up for real.
Hope you enjoyed it!
lol It is fun messing with DC's
Very true. ;)
Ha ha! I love the title of this thread!
My list of readers is rapidly expanding. :D
Sorry, my friends, but you will have to wait til' the morrow to hear more of my lucid adventures. ;)
Keep it up~
With that creepy avatar staring at me, how could I refuse?
That is its purpose, yes.
:)
Love the dreams. Just having fun and experimenting is such a great thing to do in lucid dreams if you are not into roleplay or anything heavy. I enjoyed your dreams very much and can't wait to read more.
You are a pretty good LDer, everything you do in them seems to be pretty random. Now, in an oncoming lucid, I wanna interview a DC too.
He he, me too! I am interested to see what my brain can think up for them!
Ah, some great dreams there DS. Yeah it's funny how furtive DCs are. I find that in my dreams too. It's kind of like that movie "The Trueman Show" starring Jim Carey, you know, like they're all part of a big cosmic joke being played on you, the dreamer, whereby they're not supposed to let on that it's a dream. It would certainly explain why they always look so uncomfortable when I'm lucid and I mention it's a dream. It's like they're thinking 'oh sh*t! It wasn't me! I didn't tell!'
Funny how you dreamed you had lots of siblings. I had that happen in a nonlucid a while back but didn't do a RT. I just sat there thinking how amazing it was that here were all these extra brothers and sisters, some of them twins, that I never knew about
Looking forward to the next entry
Thanks to everyone for their support. I am sorry I haven't had any for awhile. My brain seems to be behind quota. Hopefully reading your posts has boosted my confidence; perhaps I'll have another tonight!
Toast and LDS, I'm glad to have inspired a goal. With luck they'll have something interesting to say. ;) I usually have goals planned out beforehand, and keep a "Waiting Line" for them. Up next, painting a dream scene.
DQ, thanks for stopping by. Always a pleasure to have you. And that sounds to be an interesting movie.
Lucid Dreams!
I am not having much luck. I used to have two lds spread throughout the month, but now I'm having 6 in bursts. I'm improving, I guess.:)
Hopefully more to come.
Yes! Lucid dream, baby!
Feeling Amorous (10/25)
I was in a field. I realized I was dreaming, and searched the area. I was in the mood for getting intimately aquainted with one of my mind's female residents, and found a woman under a tree. She began crying and ran away. I tried summoning women, but in their place came boxes. I came to a hotel, and found someone, but she shrank into her clothes and became an edible fruit. The dream went on like this for some time, but my attempts were foiled at every turn. Eventually, the dream ended and I returned to deep sleep.
haha thats great!
Exactly
Sorry to keep you waiting.
"Dissatisfied With the sky"
11-3-09
I was in a well lit abstract world, sitting in a warehouse. I was sitting in a chair, idly watching a car repeatedly fly out of the woods, then fall back into the darkly shadowed trees. After a while I said to myself, "The fact that I haven't already become lucid from this is reason enough to realize I'm dreaming." I thereby gained lucidity. I rubbed my hands to stabilize the dream, then began to walk around. I exited the warehouse, and noting the bright sunlit sky, I decided to myself that the dream would seem more profound if it were nighttime. So I changed the dream from day to night. This abstract world appeared to be set in a lonely countryside. I found a small display of assorted potted plants accompanying a sign that read "Green Weeds". After that my lucidity faded.
I apologize for the lack of insane displays of dream control. My lucidity has not been perfect recently. Hopefully more to come.
You're going alright, DS. Keep up the good work. You'll get better with time :)
Well, now I know I will. :)
Pity about your issues with lucidity recently. I lost my lucidity after I got ill, and didn't get it back for a couple of weeks but its back now (thank goodness). I still look forward to reading more of your entries once they come around.
Funny, my I seem to be on the verge of lucidity whenever I get sick. I have a recurring dream where I have to carry an enourmous log all the way around a red apocalyptic world. My conciousness would always zoom out to an unimagineable degree, and I realize how futile my efforts are. Hmm...:?
Anyway, sorry for not posting for a while. I'm way behind my quota this month. A whopping two.
Dream Control Test (11/28/09)
I was in a hotel room, being told by and elderly, bearded, wise looking man to make a glass door dissapear and reappear.
I realized I was dreaming. I turned to the man, who I assumed was my dream guide. He said, "I will now give you a test".
"A dream control test?" I asked.
"Uhh, sure" he replied. "Why should you not think of a place you've already been to in real life should you try to teleport there?"
"Because it draws your attention to the real world, which may wake you up."
"Correct."
And get this: I woke up.
Maybe we're just that close to dying. Count yourself lucky. :P
Loaf, I'm sure you'll be happy to know that I had a lucid dream the day before I spiked a 102 degree fever. :) I'll post it later.
Here's the lucid dream I had shortly before falling ill.
"The Game, the Guy, and the Girl"
I was playing some sort of video game. I saw a rectangular object through a wall. Suddenly, the object was blurred around the lines and a strange sucking noise rose to my attention. Everything was being blurred into a single direction. I backed away from the game and performed a reality check. Concluding that I was dreaming, I walked to the kitched and poured myself a glass of milk. After drinking my milk, I returned to the game. (I may have lost some lucidity at that point.:P) When I backed away from the game again, I was in a classroom. A bulky guy backed on me, so I used telekinesis to whack him over the head with a chair. I walked outside, and saw a girl walking away from the classroom. I tried to get her to start walking toward me. I spent the last few minutes trying to retain lucidity, and eventually lost hold of it.
Lol'd at the chair part.
I had this one a week or two ago.
"Death by Fire"
I was strolling down a quiet suburban sidewalk. As I passed one yard, its lawn ignited. The flames rapidly spread to my clothes, and I was soon watching police investigate my death. I soon discovered that I was a spirit, and became lucid. I flew through the houses, but they all seemed to be deserted. I came to a trailer, and inside there was a woman lying on a bed. I tried to get her to take her clothes off, but she refused. After a while of this, I accidentally closed my eyes, and when I opened them again I was awake.
Lol sex as usual. :D
Got another one for your reading enjoyment. Although it seems my journal's whittled down to an audience of one at this point. Eh, who cares. :)
"On Land and In the Air"
I was walking down a lonely suburban street. There wasn't a person in sight. (There never really are people in my lucids often.) I suddenly realized I was dreaming. I stepped onto the lawn of a house without driveway or garage and jumped into the air. I flew low over the houses in lazy circles. Moments later I touched down. I decided to go to my grandparent's house to find a companion, since I judged it was nearby. I turned the ground in front of me to a white, opaque ice and skated across it at ever-increasing speeds. I never made it, and lost lucidity.
If anyone would like to offer whatever inspirational words, they would be greatly appreciated. You could even share your own lucid experiences. I've been terrible with DJing lately, and I think all I need is a little motivation.
Lucid dreams!
Gosh..
When I joined this forum I'd read through your whole DJ. I was like "WOW! This guy must be a pro!"
I still think your dreams are awesome. I wish you'd post more.
EDIT: AH! This dream: http://www.dreamviews.com/community/...7&postcount=12
That was a major inspiration for me. I remember reading it. I loved DC conversation. It got me really motivated and excited to start asking DCs things, and to just play around with my dream world.
All I can say is thanks, both of you. You've really made me feel more confident.
Lucid Dream Savy, sorry about that. :P You didn't post for a while, so I had no idea you were still following. Make that an audience of two. :)
Loaf,
You actually thought I was a pro? Wow, that's awesome.
I'm glad you enjoy my journal, that will definitely motivate me to have more lucid dreams.
You may have misread my last post. I said to offer your own experiences, not mine. I still enjoyed reading it again, anyway. ;) I'm very happy that my dreams have actually inspired someone.
Thanks for reading. I'll try to keep em' coming.
Lucid dreams!
Nice ideas... Hard to visualise a few of them though. Be more descriptive ;)
Hey DS, another reader here!! And I agree with OfficerFlake, we want more details!! :cheeky:
... See what happens when you wish for more readers... you might start getting requests and critcs!
Oh, but just tohelp reassure yu that ypu're not writing entirely in vain here, I just checked, and your DJ has 880 views as of now. Not too shabby!
interesting about your DCs comment about not teleporting to places you've been. does that seem to hold true for you in general?
Thanks for the motivation. I really appreciate it! I had no idea so many people had checked into my journal; it must be my catchy title! I'll try to be more descriptive from now on, so long as you promise to FIX YOUR GRAMMAR! :P
I'm sorry? Heh, could you quote the passage that instance was contained in? (I tell you, my memory's no good anymore.)
Thanks so much for all the encouragement, guys. I had taken a break from posting for a while, so a have quite a few new dreams for you to read.
Lucid dreams!
-D.S.
Tie yourself to something, a flood of new entries is coming!
Quick, into the boat!
Haha! Okay here they are:
Tell me if I'm being descriptive enough.
This one was a little fuzzy to me, and nothing much happened, but...
"In which creativity deserts me"
I walked into a long, dark, narrow art classroom. There were about a dozen other students, and moody simplistic paintings littered the walls. A rectangular concrete block serving as a table was sitting in the center of the classroom. Out of the blue, I realized I was dreaming. I climbed onto the concrete block and stood, mouth agape, trying to think of something to try. Nothing came to mind. I was completely blanking at the absolute worst time. After standing anti-climactically for some fifteen seconds, I lost lucidity and resumed my "normal" activities.
"Twilight High"
I found myself wandering a dusty, twilit, vacant high school. I attended a girls soccer game going on down the hill. There I saw a few of my friends. After the game had concluded, my friends and I parted, and I walked through the forest and back up to the school. Once I reached the school, I realized I was dreaming. I walked around the school, searching the unusually narrow corridors for someone to talk to. (Actually I was looking for a girl, bet you'll love that, loaf :P) I poked in and out of classrooms, but still nothing. Perhaps I started to lose lucidity some time earlier, because it didn't occur to me that I should have abandoned searching and done something else. I eventually lost lucidity completely.
A school theme? Weird.
To tell the truth, the main reason for my non-descriptive lucid dream is my terrible memory. Apart from the few adjectives I can throw in there in addition, I can picture my lucids just about as well as you can. :?
Oh well. Here's a good one!
I may have finally learned to summon people at will.
"Messing With Friends"
I was at a busy downtown intersection. I realized I was dreaming. I looked to the left and thought, "Dakota is walking into my field of vision." Like magic, my friend Dakota walked into the scene. He said hey, and in response I said, "Check this out" before brazenly strolling across the street. Dakota freaked out, and cars swerved and crashed to avoid hitting me. I reached the end of the street and spun on my heel, grinning at what I had just created. I strode purposefully back across the street, and chuckled at Dakota's face, which looked similar to this. I jumped into the air and soared above the rooftops, listening to his amazed "WOW!" from below. I steadily lost lucidity from that point on, and returned the strange plotline always accompanying my dreams.
Here's the last one. :(
I guess I assumed I had more than I actually did.
This one was a WILD.
"How Crisp the Grass, How Cool the Wind"
I closed my eyes and determinedly imagined kneeling on grass. Gradually, my hand and it's presence on the grass became more defined, until I find myself on my knees in a vibrant, breezy, green field. I rubbed my hand up and down the smooth texture until I guessed I was grounded sufficiently to be able to raise my head. I slowly inched my eyes upward, but it was too much and I awoke.
This is great writing practice. Such discriptiveness can only do me good on my next school essay. ;)
I'm terribly sorry about my utter lack of lucidity lately. (<-Just look at that alliteration) I've neglected my dream journal recently, and haven't had a lucid dream in a blue moon. But apparently last night was different, because I had an amazing flying lucid dream. :panic: Here it is.
"On Flight and the Computer"
I was dreaming in random locations around my house at night, and gradually became lucid. (That's a first) Evidently I was fully aware I was dreaming, because I can remember thinking how amazing it was to be able to do all these wonderful things while aware I was dreaming. So, I somehow got hold of a state-of-the-art brand new laptop in front of my house, turned it on, and used one of its programs to enable me to fly. I jumped into the air several times knowing without a doubt that I could fly, and gravity seemed to lessen with each jump. After about the fifth time, I soared into the night air and began to fly around. I shot like a bullet into the sky and zoomed around my neighborhood, reveling in the absolutely convincing feeling of the wind of my face. Since I was fully lucid, I wanted to see how fast this puppy could go, so I sped faster and faster over the treetops. The surrounding scenery seemed to blend into a solid blur of trees and buildings, and I must've broken the sound barrier at least once. ;) After a brief intermission from lucidity, during which I fixed up a middle aged man's computer so he could fly like me, I returned to lucidity and once again flew back into the air. I decided to see how much of my neighborhood my brain remembered. I headed toward the library, turned left to pass over the dog park, and from there flew eastward. At that point, my brain started to create some sort of Japanese temple landscape, so I figured that's about as much as my subconscious remembered of my town. I decided to turn around, but on my way back home, I gradually lost lucidity, and can't remember anything from that point on. Bummer.
Oh, well. That was still the most fun I've had in months. (And admittedly, the longest lucid dream I've had in a while.:))
Hope you enjoyed this entry. I tried to make this one extra descriptive, so if you could give me some feedback, it would be greatly appreciated.
Sayonara,
Dream Scientist
DS, I thought you were gone...since I haven't seen you anywhere posting in DV, or in your DJ! Well, I'm glad that you got another lucid! Can't get enough of those! The good thing is that, if you recently had a LD, you're more likely to get another soon, as well as the number of LD's you've ever had, since now it has increased by one!
Hmm...I've had many LD's where I'm at home (lately, that's where half of my LD's are! Odd how not many NON lucids am I at my house...well, maybe not since I know my house and all, so perhaps it's easier to get lucid there?), but I've never been able to stray too far from my home in any LD...Sometimes, I may start to fly off, but not really in town, often to some random house or a non-existent neighborhood in the direction AWAY from home. Mostly, I end up sticking around where I became lucid :P, or I teleport somewhere else...I never stray too far from anywhere. Anyway, I have wanted for a while to just fly into my town to see what my subconsious remembers...as well as many other things, but it just hasn't happened.
OK, I'm done blabbin now :P.
Hey LDS!
To explain for my unexplained absence, I never have the time to go online during the week, and on the weekends I'm usually doing something else.
Thanks for the pep talk. I thinks I'm up to forty something lucids by now! :shadewink:
Interesting how most of your lucids are set in your home. For a while, I thought you were saying you HAD most of your lucids in your house. (Why would you sleep anywhere else?)
The End
P.S. I don't care if you blab. :P
Scratch the comedy idea, I have better things to do than to waste my LDs you guys. ;)
It was a stupid idea anyway.
Hey DS, well I stopped posting in my DJ after the drama on here towards the end of last year. I also got into photography in a big way so LDing took a back seat for a couple of months - I still had them but not often. However I got back into it a few weeks ago and have kept a record of them so might post them all at once.
Have just caught up on your DJ. I enjoyed the dream where you showed off to your friend, Dakota.
If you want to improve your memory of your dreams I recommend using a voice recorder. Your mobile phone might have one built in - mine does and that's what I use. I have it set ready to record at the push of a button. It's great as I don't need to turn on a light I just push the button and speak.
As for the poll... your journal is fine the way it is!
:)
Thank you!
I was going to write a paragraph or two explaining why I haven't had any LD's in a while, but when I was done, I had been logged off. The computer told me to refresh the page, and when I did, my paragraph(s) were gone! So here's a summary:
I was busy.
And lazy.
And I just didn't have the time between school and... school.
That's pretty much the gist of it.
Not that anyone cares, or is even reading anymore, since I haven't posted anything new in months.
Oh, well.
By the way, does anyone know how to remove a poll? ;P
I'm sorry about that! Yeah, I left DV for a few months, which is why my LD's went from 15 a month to a bad one a month! I have to be here! And, yup, I stay subscribed to this thread :D.
I am sorry, I have no idea!
Hi DS, I left dv for another forum a few months ago. I just popped back to remove some dreams from my journal and saw your journal at the top of the list. Sorry, your dreamlife has taken a back seat but that's life sometimes. You can always get back into it at a later stage.
Stay in touch!
DQ
Thanks for posting. I'm glad someone still reads this wreck of a journal.
I've had approx. three LD's since the last one I posted, including one this morning. I'll try and get them up ASAP. (I know I keep promising that, I don't know what to tell you.)
And about the poll:
That's cool, I'll just ask meta. :P
Pleasant dreams!
