      Brief Lucid (DILD)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Ok, I had my first Lucid Dream in a long time, which inspired me to come back here and finally get posting in my dream journal. Let's hope I can keep it up.

The first I remember is that I was heading down a darkened hallway in one of the buildings at my University. I was alone, and I found this strange, so I did a quick reality check and realized that I was dreaming.

Unfortunately, my excitement woke me up. However, I kept my cool after I woke up and started thinking about nonsensical gibberish until I got back to sleep (spouting random phrases in my head to prevent myself from thinking helps me get to sleep quickly).

      Soon I was
back in the same hallway I had been in before and realized I was dreaming once again. This time, I remembered a tip I'd read to increase the clarity of LD's - staring at the ground. It worked well, and I felt like I was fairly solidly inside the dream world, though it was by no means the most clear LD I've had. Everything still felt like it was in a fuzzy haze.

In attempt to make the most of my current state, I walked up to the first girl I saw and had an impromptu make-out session. I didn't recognize her, but she was pretty attractive. Sometime during this, I
lost lucidity and woke up not long afterword.

      April Fool's Day (Non-lucid)

      NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Had a very interesting dream last night where my subconscious was playing tricks on me - thought I'd post it.

I was at a public gym, and had just finished swimming some laps. When I went to the locker room, I discovered that members of both sexes were lounging about naked. Some people didn't seem to notice, others were screaming or acting startled.

From a few lockers over, I heard two people discussing the fact that April had just begun, and they were planning some April Fool's tricks.

That's about all I remember of the dream, but the interesting part is that I didn't realize until I was awake that the whole locker room mixup was probably the result of someone switching the male/female signs on the locker room doors as an April Fool's Day prank. Crazy what your mind can come up with even if your conscious brain doesn't understand the concept. Maybe all dreams make sense to at least a part of our brain.
