Thread: slash's mind cave of weirdness

My first entry to my dream journal is a dream I found rather interesting. It happened this morning just before I woke up.


I was in the canteen of my school, when the devil (just looked like a normal person though) appeared and sent me to some sort of other world, and told me I had to figure out within 10 years how to get out.

The other world started with a small brown room with no windows or doors, is slowly expanded into the canteen in my school again. My friends were there as they usually would be. It felt strange though, I knew it was some other world, and that they weren't real, so instead of using money to get stuff out of the vending machine I grabbed a guitar that was conveniently next to me and I went to smash the window of the vending machine, but a teacher stopped me and said "what do you think you are doing". So I said back to him, "err, this is just a fake universe, so I assumed it would be ok", and he just looked at me weirdly and said plainly "eh, no" and walked away.

I was sitting there, without anything form the vending machine, trying to figure out how to get out of this fake world with no freedom.


Then, "wait a minute, this is kinda like what a dream would be like... wait a minute, this is a dream... wait a minute, the devil was trying to tell me that lucidity is how to get out!!!"

So, I became lucid, I realised it was a dream. But I was still stuck in that canteen, but I just wanted to settle a little un-finished business between me and the vending machine. There was no chocolate, which is what I wanted. So before I smashed the window, I tried to make some chocolate appear in it, but it didn't work. So I just smashed the window with the guitar and grabbed a bottle of chocolate milk, and I tried to turn that into a chocolate bar, but that didn't work, so I smashed the window of the canteen and flew out, it felt like I didn't have much power in there.

Once I got out I made a big tin of chocolate appear, it didn't taste of much, that I can remember anyway. So I gave it to these kids nearby, and then they said, "awww no white chocolate", so I gave then some.

My friend followed me outside, and the devil appeared again, but I didn't see him as the devil any more, just a normal person that looked like the devil looked earlier. And as I was walking up the street talking to them, telling them how I was in a dream, I was telling them to do a reality check too, just to prove to them it was a dream. I tried to get them to do the nose pinch RC, but they were confused how to do it. So I said, "look at my hand", and my friend was like "Woa", and the other guy was like "HOLY SHIT!!!", he seemed pretty freaked out, and sort of took a step back in shock.

I was about to go and do my own thing, but it was too late...

I woke up.

The Devil is the Dream Warrior Master. That image is the Roman Catholic archetype imposed over his true nature. Check out my DJ. He has been teaching me things also.

Nice. I was just thinking that it could be possible that he is my DG. How cool would that be.

He is your dream guide. He is the Master. He is The Dream Guide.

(I do have a dream guide, Zaphor, a red dragon-man, gargoyle who is my personal dream guide, but that's different.)
He only seemed like Satan to you (even though he was not in that form) because of your perception.

Raven Knight perceived him as Yoda.

I think I may have seen him in dreams before as Morpheus and Hades.

Hmmmm, well, my guy just looked like an old(ish) man with a sort of smirk on him that reminded me of the devil from Ghost Rider. But I saw him as the devil because of the way he asked me to do things. I sort of had the feeling that I was selling my soul to him, I think he might have mentioned that somewhere in his request. Something like if I didn't figure a way free he would take my soul or something. But he seemed like a nice enough guy.

So are you saying everyone's DG is the devil, but he appears in different ways within different people's dreams?
I hope it isn't religious. I hope this is just symbolism.

What I am saying is you met The Dream Guide, The Dream Warrior Master. He is an ancient immortal entity. He goes by many names. How he appears to you does not depend on an image he is projecting, but on your perception of him.

That is why I perceived him as a great red devil, and Raven Knight perceived him as Yoda.

We all have our own personal dream guides, which are separate from that man.

Well, I tell you what. I would prefer not to think of it as such a spiritual thing as that. But I would just be happy to have a DG.

It ain't a sure thing that it is my DG, but I will believe it for now.

Well, I would love for HIM to contact ME, so he can make me lucid again. It will probably be a while before I can do it myself for me to contact him.

Intent and desire is enough, I think, for now. Your Higher Self called to him, and that is why he appeared in your dream.

I think he means my DG will be in the form/perception of the Devil. Or that he hopes I have in fact found my DG. In which case, thanks man.

This dream was non-lucid the whole way, I had it this morning just before I woke up.
I was in a strange place which seemed to me to be a lot like the map "Castle" from Call of Duty World at War, except a lot bigger. I had an awesome red suit on with a sort of cape on it. There were other people too with their own suit, their suits were similar to mine except different colours and decorations.

I was at the highest point of this strange place, I looked down and I jumped down trying to glide down with my cape. It didn't turn out the way I had wanted it too. I didn't glide too well down, I just kind of jumped to the bottom, very "un-gracefully". But, when I landed at the bottom, you will never guess who was there; Slayer. And he had a red suit on too, but his suit was darker red than mine.

Slayer told me that if I press "G" I could glide with my cape.

Confused yet? I wouldn't be surprised if you were. The thing is that I felt as if I was in a computer game, when he told me to press "G", I didn't actually even press anything, I just sort of had it in my mind and I felt as if I had used that control. It has happened in a few dreams before.

So, I did what Slayer told me to, I got to the top and I glided down perfectly. And, CanceledCzech Followed me down. His suit was green. I gradually learned to be able to fly, rather than just glide.

After a while of messing about flying around with Slayer and CanceledCzech, I went behind this hut looking building, next to a gate. And what do you know, Lulian was there. I can't remember properly, I never wrote this down when I woke up, but I think his suit was in fact this sort of colour.

Then while we were there, This other guy came in, with a strange name, something like "Gonatron" or something of that sort that started with "G". He had a black suit on with a red, lava pattered, dragon head mask on. He seemed like a bad guy, But I think we all ended up good friends, then something bad happened to Lulian, I wasn't sure what, but he ended up needing to share a body with that "Gonatron" guy. They were then deciding upon a name to call themselves, They came to something like "Golulion" or something.


This dream was full of DreamViews members related stuff. There was Slayer, CanceledCzech and Lulian. And they all (as I remember) had the colour of suit that their colour of text is in chat. (including me, I had my red suit which is what I would use a lot in chat, when I'm not using black)
Also, That thing that happened to Lulian, I think that was to represent the fact that Lulian was banned yesterday. And the thing with him sharing a body with someone else, I don't know why, but that just makes me think that would represent that I think he probably made an Alt, or hacked into someone elses account. (In no way am I accusing him of doing that, but it just seems like the kind of thing he would do for a laugh)
And of course I am sure the reason Slayer was the one that helped me with the "game's controls" was because he is a gamer.

This morning I woke up and went to sleep tons of times, my head was full of part memories of dreams. I have forgotten most of them now. This is one that I just remembered there.

I woke up in my dream (FA), I turned on my laptop as usual, Just as I was about to open Google Chrome, I noticed my Desktop Background had changed. I noticed it had went back to my old background. I just accepted that it had changed, I knew that my old OS used to change my background to black all the time, because it was messed up back then.

But, that isn't the worst part of it. My Desktop background is this:

I knew that was the desktop I should have had, I actually remembered the words "Reality Check" from that picture. I had those very words in my head, wondering why they weren't there.
And in real life I would usually do a RC when I see or think about that background. But I never did one.



This was probably my biggest FA fail I have had.

But, I have been having a lot of FAs recently, and all of them have included me going on my computer, and usually onto DV, and usually into chat.

So, I will now prepare myself for that.

There were a good few dreams which I could remember earlier, but stupidly, I never wrote them down. So these are just fragments of memories.


I remember being in my school, in class like usual, then when next period came, I went to PE, my normal PE teacher was there. A few of my friends were there, but not the people in my normal PE class.

We didn't actually do PE, we did random stuff, moving stuff around and what not. I can't remember fully what we did.

Then it was time for me to go home like I would usually do on a Friday, even though today is actually Monday.

So, I walked out the door, and I was looking for my driving instructor, (this must have come up because I am nervous about my driving lessons starting soon). Then I remembered, "oh wait... That thing starts next Wednesday" and I was very relieved.
So I started walking home like normal, all the normal thoughts were running through me head, "hmmm, should I go to the shop or the baker's..."etc. I was walking out of sight of the school building, I could see the leaves on the ground, the texture of the concrete pavement. Everything seems so realistic when I look back to it. This part of the dream is the part which I remember most, even though it is not that interesting.


Then the next thing I remember is another dream I think. I was in a shopping centre with my mum, and I was looking around to try and buy Slayer a cat girl, weird huh?
Then, the rest of that thing is blurred in my memory.

The next thing I remember is being outside this big mansion, outside it's big gates. I am pretty sure there were other members of DV there, but I just cannot remember right now. For some reason A Roxxor rings a bell. But, maybe he wasn't there.
I cannot remember what we did, I think we were planning an attack on the mansion, but I don't think we got round to it.

And that is all the details I can remember for now. The dream was more interesting and exiting than that, I can remember that much anyway.

I have done that "g" thing in dreams when I used to play video games a lot. I would have to press a certain button or key on something that wasn't there, but I haven't been able to do it. Don't call yourself stupid. You're smart. Insulting yourself is like poison.

Yeah, good point. I should be concentrating more on improving what I have failed to put into practise. (In this case, RCs in front of my computer screen.)

I went up to my school bus as usual, I got up to the door of the bus, and the bus driver said "doctor's note?", I was confused as to why he wanted one, I asked him "don't you mean bus pass?", and he told me "no no, doctor's note, or you ain't getting on the bus".

So I shouted at him "YOU FUCKER" and started walking to school, I started to walk faster, then I ended up running.
I only remember about an 8th of the journey to school, the next thing I remember is me actually at school.
Then there was some kind of talent contest going on, there was this kid playing the guitar for it, and he played a bit, and everyone said he sucked. Then Slash (not me, the actual guitarist) came on stage out of nowhere and helped him, then the kid really fucking rocked. Then Slash started crying "he's way better than me, I'm finished!!"

Then I went home and I saved some kid's life from a falling tree or something. The parents rewarded me with something which was in 3 long boxes. I never even opened the boxes. Then the next thing I remember was being with the kid and his parents and brother in this cafe type place. All of us got a Yorkie bar, and I got a can of Irn Bru.

The next thing I can remember (I think this is into another dream) was being in this weird castle type place. I was with a bunch of other people and we were being chased by something/someone and I found a sniper rifle on the way, but once that thing/person got closer, I took the scope off to make it easier to aim. (this part was kind of like a video game, every time we died, we came back to life again to try again) I finally killed it/him/her and then I remember we walked away and that's all I remember.




Then I had done WBTB, I went on DV chat for about 45 minutes. I then tried to WILD, I lay there without moving any limbs, but I just couldn't keep my eyes still, I tried concentrating on my eyes to keep them still, that gave me a headache, so I remembered that you are supposed to think about something else and it will relax itself. But, my headache was just so bad, I couldn't be bothered with the WILD attempt any more. So, I turned on my side and went to sleep.

I don't remember much of these dreams right now, but I can remember going on my computer and writing in my dream journal here on DV, I remember typing in the title of the post, and I saw the auto-complete thing come up when I started typing, and I noticed the subtlest of things, I saw "october" (without a capital "O"), I thought to myself "I have always put capital "O", I was confused, but before I had a chance to consider whether it was a dream or not; I woke up, I never moved kept my eyes still, I didn't have DEILD in mind, but I landed in a dream and I was thinking to myself "wait a minute, I wasn't here a minute ago, oh yea, I'm dreaming now.

AND BAM!!!
I woke up. And here I am typing out this DJ post.
I could not be bothered trying to DEILD again, because I just kind of felt like it was getting late.


On a side note, I remember in one of my dreams, I was trying to get to the moon. But I don't think I made it there. I had Nomad's black tower thing in mind. But I think I ended up not going. And I could swear I was even lucid at that point too, but, my recall of that dream was so terrible, I just don't know if it was or not, so I won't count it as lucid.

Awesome that you tried to get to the Moon. The Slash part of the dream was hilarious, as was the bus driver part.

Haha, well, I might have made it to the moon, but I really don't know cause my memory of that dream is very fuzzy.

Another WBTB morning, my memories of my dreams before I woke up for the WBTB are not good.

I remember that I was inside my house, on the computer and I was on DV chat, and I went on youtube, and I saw a video where someone had made their own song, and it sounded a lot like a song I had started to make myself in real life. I got really angry at the guy for stealing it, I made a big fuss about it, I got off my laptop, I went downstairs, and I can't remember when I did then, but I then remember taking out the trash and then going on the downstairs computer and onto DV chat for like a few seconds, then I went back up stairs to my laptop and onto DV chat.

I'm thinking that DV chat (or just computer in general) is a dream sign for sure.

I will edit this post after my WILD attempt, later on in the morning.

EDIT: I can't remember my dreams now. I was able to remember them earlier, but I never wrote them down. I know that my WILD attempt failed though. I could not get comfortable enough, so I just gave up and went to sleep.

I might go for an afternoon nap later to try for the WILD. I have found that I enter the dream state quite easily and smoothly when napping, so I think I could WILD doing that.

First off, I ended up not doing a nap WILD. But I aim to at some point when I get the chance.

I remember a dream where I was on the computer (surprise surprise) and I went on the game "Runes of Magic" and it seemed normal, and I would not have known it was a dream at all right now, had I not gone on this game after I woke up, I played the game and noticed something that wasn't there any more. And I then remembered, the time when I got that thing that isn't there any more, I was in a dream. (p.s. that thing I am referring to is a diamond)

The last dream from this morning involved me and my cousin getting the death sentence, I can't remember the details of the dream, but I remember the whole big dream was us being brought on a big journey to where we get killed, I was very upset the whole time, except for bits when I tried to cheer myself up, then I would remember again what was about to happen. But it got to the point where I realised all the things I wanted to do with my life that I have not yet done, and I even said to my cousin (in tears) "I don't want to die, I have wanted to do so many things before I die, which I haven't done yet. I swear to god, I really hope there is a heaven, no joke".

I got very upset, and that was when I woke up, to find tears on my face.

I had never realised how scared of death I am.

I was in this big room kind of like the first room of the "Nacht der Untoten" Nazi Zombies map on Call of Duty World at War. And instead of zombies coming, it was spiders. I think there was someone else with me, and we were kicking spider butt.

I woke up, I sat there on my bed, I couldn't be bothered doing anything, so I went back to sleep.

The moment I fell asleep I was in a dream and I said to myself, "I think I will just have a regular dream", then I said to myself "hell naw, if this a dream, I want to be lucid", and of course I had realised I was dreaming.
But, as I said that, my dream slowly faded away, I started to feel my real body again, I was panicking at this point, which didn't help.
Then after a good few seconds I was awake, I was quite annoyed, so I lay there, not moving, picturing that dream scene in my head and telling myself I will keep awareness. And I slowly came into a dream (lucid) I could see everything was back the way it was. But, I felt my real body again, I could feel the really uncomfortable heat of the sun coming through my window. And the dream slowly faded away again, this time it was like object by object, rather than the full thing fading away.
And I woke up, I did the whole DEILD thing again, and I saw my dream scene again then woke up.

This happened a couple of times before I realised it is pointless, because that sun was just making it so unbearably uncomfortable, it just woke me up every time.

So I just left it.
