And and a new adventure begins. The concept of Lucid Dreaming is very exciting to me. The possibilities seem limitless. I look forward to the journey.

I'm normally one of those people who don't remember my dreams and when I do it's a nightmare. I've been interested in Lucid Dreaming for a while. I read a bit on the topic yesterday and downloaded a book. Right now I'm focusing on dream recall. I woke up 4 times after I dreamt last night. I managed to get a pen and paper out twice. When I looked at my notebook today I can sorta remember the last dream but I have no recollection of the first dream. And, I don't have any concept of the dreams I didn't write down. After, I had my last dream I was up for the morning. So I was thinking about the dream and actually commenting to myself how I hardly play a role in the dreams I have. The dreams I remember are more like I'm watching a movie. But, when I looked at my notebook I was actually in my first dream, I was floored. My goals for tonight are: 1) Again, remember my dreams as I have them. 2) Write down every dream. Oddly enough, I actually woke up this morning with more energy.

Dream 1: I was studying for something I considered strange. It wasn't something I consider practical. I went to see an "expert" so this person could assist me with my upcoming test. Expert is quoted because, in my dream, the "expert" felt like a fraud.

Dream 4: A beautiful African American women gets raped by a wealthy, popular white man. He takes her from her house and rapes her on the beach. Pictures of the event turn up but they look consensual. However, there were "corrosive" burns on the women's chest. No charges were pressed on the man. Police new he was guilty but they were part of the conspiracy. The dream shifts to a prison. There is an investigator arguing with a female prison guard. The prison guard admits that she had poisoned the victim with lithium for years for the rapist. The dream ends. There was definitely the feeling that the rapist was in control of everything; the rape, photos, conspiracy with police and the whole ordeal was to prove his power.

OMIGOD how terrifying!!!

It honestly wasn't scary. It felt just like I was watching an episode of law and order.

I think I had 4 or 5 dreams last night. I didn't sleep as well as the night before. I didn't wake up so sharply. So I had trouble remembering a few of the dreams.

Dream 1: An old friend (DC friend only) of mine moves to my city. She is a practicing plastic surgeon. She's been in town for about 6 months and hasn't had any referral. She is also upset that due to her slow practice she is constantly having to replace her part-time assistant/receptionist. I suggest that in order to produce referral clients she target specific people with good connections and provide them with a free or at cost service. Dream Ends. For such a normal dream there was a creepy undertone to it. And, there seemed to be more of an relationship with the permanent assistant/receptionist then met the eye.

Dream 4: There was a murder at a fashion designer's place of business. The fashion designer is the key suspect. I'm on the investigating team. The business turns out to be the designers house/business. The house is amazing. Reminds me of one of the houses on Franklin St in Auckland, NZ. Or like the house on Charmed (but not so bright). Everyone is wearing witches outfits. Mine is purple, ripped at the bottom and looks cheap (as in bought it at walmart cheap). Dream shifts. I'm looking in the mirror. I'm so impressed. My dress looks beautiful. The fashion designer fixed it for me. He trimmed the dress at the neck, wrists and bottom with black lace. The fashion designer goes to kiss me. I still know he's the main suspect in my head. I don't care. The dream ends.

So I woke up last night at about 1:30 am. I couldn't remember any dreams. I was seriously disappointed. Later I remembered some of my dreams. But, I would catch myself falling back to sleep not even really noticing that I a) woke up and b) it was a dream I was thinking about.

Dream 1: I'm with J (my ex in rl) at some event in a park. Both our families are present. My son A is there (who I had with my husband). There is a big fund raiser in which they are selling heads of lettuce. I sneak away and have sex with a blond women. It wasn't enjoyable and I remember thinking "that's odd". I walk away feeling guilty. I go home with J and A. The next day we go to the supermarket. J lets A out of his sight. A is blocking the isle so that people can't get by. I go and apologise. It turns out he's blocking Debra (a client at work) and her family. They are laughing and having fun. She says it's no problem and I wake up.

Dream 2: I'm (as a teenager) either the main person or my teenage daughter is (I don't have a teenage daughter). Either way she falls in love with an amish boy and they run away to be together.

Dream 3: I'm (as a teenager) in love with an amish boy (ok yeah the same theme and why? god only knows). He's in love with me and another girl. She runs away and comes back pregnant. It's not his baby. His parents are upset. But, he stands by her. He is there for the birth of the baby. She wants to name the baby after him. He turns her down. Later a group of us are eating dinner together. There are these packets of frozen meet with fortunes, written on the labels, of who you love. Mine says I love him. Hers says she loves the two potential father's of her baby. He gets pist. They argue. He picks me. We kiss. I wake up.

No dreams to document. I think I stayed up too late. For the first half of the night I woke up knowing I had a dream but not able to remember anything about it. And, then the second half of the night I was too tired to care. I've also been frustrated reading Lucid Dreaming: Gateway to the Inner Self by Robert Waggoner. I think I'm staying up later hoping the book will get better which it hasn't. Fingers crossed my copy of Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen Laberge PHD comes in tomorrow.

I think I'm coming down with something. Yesterday, I was just exhausted. Wound up taking a 3-4 hour nap and I'm not the napping type. Last night I had trouble sleeping again. Lots of swirling colors and weired imagery. Vaguely remember a dream with girl on girl sex and something about the USSR. I'm hoping I'm having issues because I'm not feeling well. Fingers crossed I get my book today.

My my copy of Exploring the World of Lucid Dreaming by Stephen Laberge PHD came in yesterday. Unfortunately, I'm still not feeling well so I didn't get to read very much at all. Dreams still weren't very clear. And, trying to read my handwriting today is proving interesting.

Dream 1: 4 person card game.

Dream 2: Something to do with luggage.

Dream 3: Dancer, roommate?

Dream 4: Something to do with the guy named Russel in so you think you can dance. We shared a class together. He was hugely funny. But, his self esteem was low. We were having a discussion about how amazing he was and how people were laughing with him not at him. In this dream I generally loved and cared about him. The feeling was cool.

Dream 5: My mother and I were running a Beauty Control Party. My mom has a crush on Bryan (a husband of my friend in rl) but B is married/dating Nicky (a long past friend from rl). Someone said "If I put forth enough of an effort I can the right results". Which at the time sounded very deep and life changing.
