Possibly a shared dream?

Lucid in the City with Powers (DILD)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

I remember this dream from start to finish. In the very beginning of the dream I was JD from scrubs and I was having an argument with Elliot while Dr. Kelso watched, laughing. I don't remember how exactly, but Elliot disappeared. Then it was just me and Kelso. We were standing next to a building and he was leaning against it and making fun of me and laughing at me the way Dr. Kelso does.

At this point I went Semi-Lucid and decided if I faced the building, closed my eyes, and ignored Kelso, he would disappear too. So that's what I did, but I could still hear him talking to me and he knew what I was trying to do and told me that I really didn't want him to disappear because I enjoyed his company. I opened my eyes to see if he was gone; still there. I tried again and tried to concentrate on ignoring him. Just when I thought I had achieved my goal I opened my eyes; still there smiling at me. I tried again and this time I totally zoned out to the point where I wasn't hearing what he was saying (though I could still hear him talking). I opened my eyes and he was gone.

The first thing I felt was slightly lonely, then I felt happy because I was lucid and I had made Kelso disappear. I jumped on top of the building I was facing to celebrate in a single leap. From the top I could see a city skyline off in the distance and decided to run toward it.

I jumped off of the building and tried to fly with no luck. I began running really fast toward the city and as I did, I transformed back into myself instead of JD. The grass was whizzing by and I kept jumping up seeing if I could fly but it wasn't happening. I tried flapping my arms around when I jumped to see if that would help, but it didn't.

When I got closer to the city people started noticing me jumping and flapping around like a fool and laughed. It didn't bother me that they were laughing because I knew I looked foolish, but I stopped doing it anyway to avoid extra attention. Then I saw a platform on the side of the street with a little hut on it that was covered only with blankets, sheets, carpets, or something like that. Instantly I knew someone was being held captive inside and I thought it was my sister.

I jumped up on the platform and lunged through the curtain into the little hut. There was an Arab man holding a machine gun standing behind a chair with a bound woman in it. He was talking on his cell phone when I came in and didn't stop when he saw me, he just nonchalantly aimed the machine gun at me and started firing like he had done this before and it was a routine thing. I laughed at him when the bullets went right through me without harming me at all. I looked directly down the barrel of the machine gun as he was firing to show him I wasn't scared at all. Now he was terrified and had dropped his cell phone.

I ripped the machine gun out of his hands and threw it on the floor. I started punching him in the face, then I grabbed him around the neck in a choke when he tried to escape. I started choking him to death and he struggled so much we both stumbled through the curtains out onto the platform. There was a policeman out there and I guess he knew I was the good guy because he started punching the Arab kidnapper in the face. The man died and fell to the ground on the wooden platform.

I looked back at the little hut where the captive had been, but the hut was no longer standing and the captive had already escaped. I went up to where the hut had been and took the machine gun the guy dropped and also took a small shotgun that I found on the floor. I noticed then that I was wearing a long cloak and put them in the pockets of it. Then I jumped off of the platform and tried once more to leap into the air and fly away with no luck still. So instead I decided to jump on a little trolley thing that was headed down the street.

On the trolley I saw two guys about my age talking and they appeared in black and white which to me meant that they were real people but weren't lucid. So I turned around to talk to them and told one of him that he was dreaming. He kind of dismissed it and said something like who are you or why should I believe you or something. I asked him his name and he hesitated for a second and looked at his friend, then he told me what it was but I don't remember. I asked him where he lived and again he hesitated, then he laughed and gave me his friend's step mom's address despite his friend's protest. Then he asked me the same questions and I told him without hesitation my name, zip code, city, state, and address. Now he believed that I was a real person and was kind of freaked out.

I turned around away from them and smiled to myself, but wished I could wake up briefly to jot down that kids information because I knew I wouldn't remember it. I looked around to see where we were and saw a little park a little ways behind us and noticed my cousin Titus standing around with a bunch of people. I jumped out of the cart and decided to see if I could make him lucid.

He was talking to some girl when I went up and the first thing I said was "Hey, Titus." He recognized me but blew me off for whatever reason. "You're dreaming," I said, "I am too." He stopped for a second and said "wait, you're dreaming?" I said yep and said I'd prove it to him. The girl he was with said something to him like "you better listen to him" and then she walked away.

I said "I can do anything imaginable, just tell me what to do." He pointed to a blue SUV parked in a little parking lot above the park, "Go pick up that car." I shrugged and ran up the hill to the car. I put my hands under it and tried to get leverage but couldn't really so I just ended up flipping it on its side. Then I grabbed it under both sides and picked it up with ease. "See!?" I yelled down at him while I held the car above me. He looked unimpressed, and remained so even after I threw the car 100ft down the hill and it tumbled until it hit a tree and stopped.

I ran back down to him. "We are about to have a race," he said, looking around at the people around him. "If you win it I might believe you." I laughed and said "piece of cake, I could beat you even if I wasn't dreaming." I lined up with everyone and an announcer said "On your mark... get set... Go!" and I took off running with everyone.

At first I was in front of the pack, but I wanted to fly to show off and ensure that I would win so I started jumping again and again had no luck. All the jumping slowed me down considerably until there I was in about the middle of the pack. I ran as fast as I could to the front but couldn't catch up to two girls who were ahead of me and running extremely fast.

At least I'm beating Titus I thought, and felt myself losing lucidity. I looked down at the ground and tried to concentrate on getting lucidity back. Then I felt the dream fading and tried to look at my hands to keep me in the dream but it was too late. I woke up and the first thing I did was try to remember the kids name and information from the dream, but sure enough, I couldn't so I rolled over and went back to sleep.
