11.12.2009 So many dreams, so little time... (Non-lucid)
NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID
Actually, i think I remember 4 different dreams, but they are so vivid! I am happy that I could have such detail!
In the first dream, I was taking an online quiz (I REALLY need a vacation, both in the dream and out!). I expected to take a math quiz, but instead, I had to take a quiz based on the performance of this ten year old comedian! So he starts off, and I see him pace the stage, this little black kid. "So, y'know what the best thing about my Grandpa is?" he asks, "X plus Y equals my granpas a nudist in the shower! And he likes to share with traffic!" and instantly I have this mental image of this old guy naked waving his junk at traffic. (*gag* eww....)
I'm in Puerto Rico. I'm in la Plazita, a town square in the middle of San Juan. But it's different, the plaza was moved. It sat atop a rolling hill, overlooking the ocean and overlooking the world. The wing was howling, and it was raining heavily. It was warm rain, and I did not mind at all. I loved it. The sky was covered in black clouds, and the ocean was roiling, the very sea itself wiggling in delight at the sheer wetness of it all. I felt caressed in the heavy, yet comfortable rain. Everything was dark. Everything was warm. People walked around the plaza, going about their day as though none of it mattered. I was content, soaked to the bone, but content. I remember I had a bag with me, filled with clothing (it was a cheap mesh bag, like to hold a workout mat), and I was wearing a blue baseball cap. I also remember distinctly having forgotten my contact solution.
I couldn't find my father, so I called him to try and find him. We had to do something important. "I can't find you!" I told him. He told me to go down the plaza and find him quick or I'd be late for the cruise. I was worried the water would ruin my phone so I kept it under the brim of my cap, shielding it somewhat from the rain. I ran down the plaza to find my father. It took several minutes of searching, But I found him. I was anxious.
He led me down an alley. "We're gonna sneak on!" he yelled into the wind, which distorted the sound by the time it reached my ear. We turn the corner and I get a bad feeling. 'Dad, no!" I yell, but it was too late. He turned right into the arms of a security guard. To her right was a line of female prisoners of varying ages and beauties. Somewhere, I knew they were going to be boarding the cruise. As the guard began to ask what we were doing there (suddenly in spanish), my father grabbed the nearest inmate and hugged her, almost violently. "I'm going to miss you, so! Please stay safe!" Now, I knew my father had never met this woman in his life, and it showed in her bewildered face. But she accepted his hug, and the guard rushed us away.
We then walked away, defeated and soaked. We walk to a nearby row of houses and take shelter under the awning of one of the houses. "what do we do now?" I asked/yelled. My father shrugs and begins to look in the other direction. I look to my left and noticed a doggy taking shelter on awning over. She ( a collie that I somehow knew was female) was laying between houses. She has dark fur and the biggest, cutest eyes I've ever seen. Somewhere in my mind, I compared her to a girl I once met. I don't know who. A smaller doggie (maybe a yorkie?) came up and jumped on her face. I knew she was his mommy despite the difference in breed. They opened the door to the house and rushed inside, planting themselves on th couch, the collie lolling lazily on her back, all four legs splayed. The owner noticed them and began to yell. The world fades...
I remember a huge Party! We were in a dark room with many seats (a movie theatre?). I was dressed comfortably, but nice. I remember a rocawear jacket. It was nice party, with hordes of people everywhere. I know I was some key player, someone everyone looked to. I helped manage it for my boss (who for some reason was subservient to me, too). Someone called me and told me the DJ was having some kind of problem. The music stopped and I sighed, and made my way to the DJ booth. As I was walking, a little girl stops me, not much older than 7 I'd guess. She was adorable! the cutest little girl ever. She gives me a big hug and a kiss on the cheek. she asks me if i could please tell the nice man in the DJ booth if he can put on a country song. I think it was a Taylor swift song. She was so cute, if she asked me to give her my brain in a jar, i would. I oblidged, promised I would and gave the girl back to her mother, then made my way to the booth.
The DJ, a curly haired guy, smaller, mousy, looked a lot like this gay boy from my school. He was in the corner of the booth with a raven perched on his shoulder. He was paralyzed in fear, the raven staring directly into his eyes. Somewhere in my mind, I knew he was a Wicca. The raven seemed innocent, and at the same time, malevolent. I was afraid to touch it. Brent walks in (a friend from elementary). He's all grown up, and he grabs the bird casually and tosses it aside. He starts to pat dust of the DJ as he recovers, and I grab the raven. I take it outside, which was suddenly a forest. I threw the raven into the sky and watched it fly away somehow. I was afraid it would peck my eyes out, so I was covering my eyes with my hands, yet I could still see it. (This should have been a clear sign of my dreaming, but I missed it).
I walked back to the DJ and relayed the little girl's request. As the music started again, everyone disappeared but me and the DJ. Suddenly, we were in a castle in the sky. He had black wings. "I'm very lonely up here", he says with tears in his eyes "Will you stay?". The world shifts...
I'm in a strange place. The sky and the world around us is covered in mist. The world as I knew it was hanging in a void of nothingness, and as terrifying as that was, I was at peace. There was no sun, yet the world I was in was brightly lit, and at the same time, soft to the eyes. This place is so clear, so vivid! I'm in a courtyard. I, myself, am resting in a ruined building at the edge of the courtyard. In the center, there is an altar. Simultaneously, two groups of rival monks begin to cross the courtard. One group was dressed in white, and carried a stone statue of some kind. The other group was dressed in white and red, and carried a crucifix, with a painted jesus on it. As they passed each other, they ridiculed each other. I left my shade and made for the altar in the center. I was wearing black robes. I saw that the golden idols in the altar were hindu gods of some kind. Maybe a mix between Hinduism and some other religion. There were several other people in white robes, kneeling and praying before the idols. I knelt before the altar and payed my respects. (I respect all cultures and religions, not just my own).
As I was paying my respects, a group of orcs passed by. Their skin was green, their large, sinewy muscled bulging through their sleeveless robes. They intimidated everyone nearby. Behind them came a large golden creature. It looked like an Elephant monster, but from the electric gaze of its eyes, i could tell it was intelligent. It occurred to me that this must be the orcish god, and I payed my respects to the behemoth as it passed. I knew that one wrong movement sealed my doom here.
Another creature passed by, another god. It had wings. My brain was somehow unable to process the rest. One moment, it was a man with wings, another it was a deformed monster. It shifted its appearance continuously, too fast for the eye to see, yet I noticed each tranformation. The only thing consistant about it was its wings, black and white and every color and no color. I felt its strange, alien conciousness as it passed. I was deeply afraid of the creature, and also awed by its presence. It looked at me, and the hairs on my body stood on end. Then it moved past me and disappeared into the mist. the world faded to white...
I don't know what this thing was. None of the Gods afore mentioned felt like normal DCs. The monks all felt normal, but the idols felt alive. The God-Creatures... they terrified me. They felt all encompassing and all powerful. After examining my feelings in the dream, I know that none of these things were my Dream Guide. They certainly didn't feel like what I would expect a DG to feel like. They felt... dangerous. The world itself that I was in felt stable and unstable. It was as if it was a sacred, secret place that I had no right to be in. In truth, it was a strange, terrifying, and awesome experience.
Finally, i found myself in the castle in the sky again. This time I was nonexistant, I was a viewpoint, unable to interact with the scene. The Wicca DJ man had a woman with him. They were standing at the castle's gate. They plummetted off the world, and suddenly, i was the DJ. We flew down through the sky, to the nothingness below. Suddenly, we grew wings, both me and my ladyfriend. We flew back up to the castle and I became the viewpoint again. A strange minotaur creature that could fly (no wings or anything, I just suddenly knew it could fly) appeared before the DJ and his wife. The creature was powerful, yet not as powerful as the creatures from the courtyard. I connected them in my head, yet somehow did not realize that the minotaur had anything to do with the courtyard. The creature knew i was there, yet did not acknowledge me.
The DJ seemed shocked. "After all my years of praying, why have you come only now?" The minotaur replied. his voice boomed throughout the hall. "I could not come when you were human. You faced your death. Prayer may make us wise, but death makes us still. Welcome, Brother." The minotaur blinked and the world faded to nothing.
I have never had a dream like this. I can't understand why everything felt so strange, so unnatural and at the same time, perfectly normal.
I am happy that I had a water dream, but I wish I could have been lucid for these dreams. There are so many things I can't understand. I've decided to make it a goal of mine to return to the courtyard.
