      Serene War's dreams

I've decided to take up dream journalling, since my recall isn't so great right now.

      Third Lucid

      Lucid - Yes
      Method of lucidity - DILD
      Type of sleep - Nightly

Normal Dream - Lucid Dream - Dream Fragment - Comment

This was my third lucid dream.

I couldn't seem to recall how this dream began, even as a fragment, so I will write what I remember from the point I became lucid.

I have a false awakening, but my bedroom looks very different. I look at my hands, which are rapidly changing shape and size. I realize I'm dreaming, and start thinking of some ways I could practice dream control. One thing I notice here is that although I became very excited, the dream does not destabilize. I look around the room, surprised at how real it looks, and decide to try to teleport to a more interesting location. I imagine that I'm in a beautiful summer landscape. It doesn't work(I probably shouldn't have tried something that advanced in my third lucid dream). I notice that the floor has become grass and there's a person standing in the corner. He looks strange, like a FarmVille character with pink hair. I walk up to him, trying to change the color of his hair to something more normal. His hair becomes a different shade of pink. I try him several more times, but each time his hair changes to a color other than what I said. Frustrated, I lose lucidity.

Overall, I'm pretty satisfied with this dream. Compared to my other two lucids, this was much more clear. Even though I didn't control the dream very effectively, I still feel I accomplished something by having a somewhat vivd lucid.

I don't remember this ladder being here...

      Lucid - No
      Method of lucidity - N/A
Type of sleep - Attempted WILD

Normal Dream - Lucid Dream - Dream Fragment - Comment

This was probably my third or fourth WILD attempt. It seemed quite long and somewhat vivid, so I do know it would be possible to WILD during this time.

There are several attractive girls that I know sleeping at my friend Alec's house and he takes pictures of them in their sleep. Later, those girls are at my house and my dad is supposed to drive them somewhere. I insist I'm not going.

I can't tell if the dream ended and another started or if it was just one long dream.

This next part shows that I need to reality check more often. I could've easily became lucid at several points, so I'll count.

Alec, my dad and I are at an amusement park about two hours away from where I live. (It's the off-season. 1) We walk around for a bit until we find a small corner with a statue of a man riding a horse. (There aren't any statues at the park; I'm quite familiar with it. 2) Alec and I decide to go ride the largest coaster in the park. It's difficult to find(It's 230 feet tall, you can see it almost anywhere. 3), but when we find it we begin to climb the ladder(Does that need much explanation? 4) up to the station. I notice how high up the station is, and I'm a bit worried that I'll get too tired and fall off the ladder. It begins to become irregularly shaped, and near the top I'm unable to pull myself up. A worker above me with a stererotypical homosexual voice encourages me to try harder, but I end up falling. I feel no pain from the fall(The ladder was about 150 feet tall, so it should have hurt. 5) At the bottom, my friend Alec(How did he get down? 6) is talking with some other people I know. We decide to access the ride from the alternate entrance. (I find it interesting that I was able to picture the real park while in the dream version of it.) On the way, we change our minds and decide to go toward the back of the park instead. There's a hot air baloon ride(7) and the weather is now that of spring(8). We hop into a hot air balloon. The ride is over quickly, and we land in the heavily wooded area which is occupied by one of the park's most popular coasters. There's a large net we get caught in. It's about 30 feet off the ground, and we're worried about how we'll get down(After the previous fall, I don't know why I would be. 9). We manage to weigh the net down enough so we are at ground level again. I remember saying it's strange that the ground is so muddy(10). The dream fades.

I have mixed feelings about this dream. The WILD failed, the first part was just a fragment, and the second part was filled with missed RC opportunities. However, I'm glad I was able to dream during this time period. I'll have to further experiment with WILDs.

      Chick-Fil-A is evil!

      Lucid - No
      Method of lucidity - N/A
      Type of sleep - Nightly

Normal Dream - Lucid Dream - Dream Fragment - Comment

I could only recall one dream again tonight.

My friend Will devises a plan to trick corporations out of millions via counterfeit playing cards.

I forget several details about the dream after the beginning fragment.

I'm about to board what appears to be a mix of a car and a train. It's quite small, seating maybe 10 people. Among them are a few friends and some DCs I don't know in real life. Will comes up to me and hands me two of the counterfeit cards---one red, one blue. They look expensive, and I start to believe that we'll actually get money for them.

I board the train, and we head off for the Chick-Fil-A(an American fast food chain) headquarters. I don't remember much of what happened during the ride.

When we arrive, we are escorted to a room that looks like a giant carnival game. There is a high table reaching up maybe eight feet off the ground. On the table are an assortment of pots filled with water. Everything is painted in bright green, and the room is dimly light. A man comes in and explains the rules of the game; you must through a ball at the pots in order to get points. The more difficult the pot, the more points. The winners would get "special surprises".

As the contest began, Will and I went up to the offices to see if they'd buy our counterfeits. We found an executive who seemed interested. While he negotiated the terms, I went to look around a bit.

I find several TV monitors showing surveillance footage of people from the contest, I assume the winners, enjoying some free food. But there is something strange about it, so I watch for a while more. Eventually, each person's surroundings seem to spring to life and knock them unconcious. Startled, I flee the building. The dream fades.
