Thread: The Dreams Had By A Dude Named Matt

Some people don't bother to make DJs. I for one find them one of the most crucial features of the forum.

If your recall keeps getting worse, Ninja's lucid track has been helping me a lot.

Alright so I tried the "mantra/auto suggestion to bolster recall (I like to use "I WILL remember my dreams.")" that mario92 suggested to me, and well.........it worked! I remember ALL of 1 of my dreams, and part of #2 and #3. At one point, I remembered a 4th one, but its gone now.... Too bad none of them were lucid.

Im going to summarize them due to lack of time...

Hanging out with a group of people, and one of the girls says "hey Mari, looks like Matt was right about Judd). At that moment, Judd walks around the corner and is like wtf (he heard what she said). -Background history: Judd was hookin up with Mari and I told her it was stupid haha- So I climb over this box and try to walk away, but Judd hops over and starts yellin at me. He wants to fight. I dodge a couple of punches while trying to calm him down and let me explain, but then one connects. At that point, I punch him once in the face, then kick him in the knee and he falls over. I pin him, and unload a bunch of punches to the face. I ask him if hes done, and then I get up. He lies there and I think its over, but he gets up and cheap shots me while my back is to him. Im on the ground and he pulls out a switchblade. Im reaching into my back pocket, but Mari stops him from doing it. I got up and told him hes a lucky SOB and showed him the knife i was about to pull put from my back pocket. He was shocked.

Only remember bits and pieces... Was playing a baseball game. Kept losing my glove. For some reason I played catcher for an inning... The lights shut off, but there was still a little bit of sunlight. We had no umpires. I said if I was an umpire I would keep the game going. I then went and looked from behind the plate, and the sun was right in the way so I called the game. Packed up my stuff and walked off the field.

Wow, I JUST NOW remembered a lot of this one. Basically I was running late to go and umpire a baseball game. This is where I should have realized this was a dream: My boss told me that if I went and bought this special barbie thing or some weird doll, and that he would wave some fee and give me the checks he owed me. My mom told me I could get this at Trader Joes so I went and got it. I showed up at the field with this, and then picked up my paychecks, and threw on the gear to go ump.

I do remember a little bit.. There was an exchange of big words between me and some other person (dont recall who it was, or if I know them). It was not sentences, it was just big words. My mom came in (it may have been her that I exchanged the big words with?) and told me my grandpa thought I deserved a silver coin for my 1000th game that I umpired. I blinked, and I was no longer in my living room, I was in the garage (of course, teleporting didnt trigger that I was dreaming (damnit)). There was a silver coin the size of a 5lb weight on the counter hahaha. I also remember seeing a stack of other coins that size too... Thats all I remember.

This may not seem like much, being that 3 of my dreams are incomplete, but Im pretty stoked.

Today, super summary:

Remembered two, but now only remember part of one......

No lucidity.

Was pretty much playing COD on a map that my brain made up. Had a silenced pistol with a scope (wtf) and was hoping around shooting this retard who was chasing me. Couldnt use the knife button for some reason. I killed him during the lag where I couldnt see anything. Ran and hid in a building. Ran to the ocean. Got on a boat. My brother was on the boat. We left. End of dream. Very lame.

The second dream wasnt very entertaining either, but I dont remember it grrrrrrr

Matt, I think that once you are able to get your recall to a substantial enough level, that you are going to be having Alot of great lucid's.
Everyone starts thier way to LD'n in their own way, and i think that your going to be one of the "one hit wonders" here, either that, or you'll join the flow of with most people and dash along with effort until the Eversoworth it First lucid dream occurs.

FYI, Im liking your personality but in your DJ entrys, keep in mind that none of us saw what you saw, and we may not understand the referances that you give, try to re-read a few DJ entry's and see if you can create an accurate summarisation of the dream, this will help the people who read your DJ entry's, they will be more enclined to recreate the dream scene and live it as you lived it because the "story" should have more flow, after you've affirmed that the story can be envisualised to a dream, rather than having it be read as "another story"
