Alright, first dream to post in here.
I was at someone's house, my sister was there with me. This guy was telling me something about unions and working and how he was almost out of a job. His house was quite nice. So he told us that his job involved him delievering something to a factory or some sort of procesing plant. He told us that the drive took 15 minutes and that it was quite easy. He said it was better than no job, and he invited us to take the drive with him. When we were inside the vehicle (like the deleivery truck Dough Hefferdon has in the King of Queens) he said he likes to drive slowly to take his time. We kept on driving until we came to this really narrow path beside a small river type stream. We had to get out and it was really hective but we made it i think.
We were back at the house, now there were more people including his wife and other people. I was drinking something. She asked me if i was going to be hanging out with her son. I said no, and i was a little bit confused. Either i didn't know the son, or not well.
I can't remember much past this.
I had a nap today...and had some dream recall. Finally.
This lady came up to me and said that I have to go to jail. What for I don't know. Just that I had to go to jail and that wasn't even the worst part....I had to get this brain surgery type thing which I thought would paralyze me. When I asked the woman why she said that it wasn't to paralyze me, just to impede my motor skills and that it was common procedure to do that to all inmates (to make them less of a threat to the guards or something).
So, I am in my house and I find my old bong under the TV stand. In my head i was telling myself wow this is fucken awesome, because in real life my mom broke my bong and threw it in the trash. So, I grab the bong and wrap it in a T-shirt, and bury it under some snow so that I could retrieve it when i got out of jail.
Fast forward now- I am in a hospital, it is open like in a gymnasium but there is one of those curtain like things obstructing our meeting with the doctor from view. The doctor tells me that it is standard procedure, that he is just going to make a little incision (add some medical speak). The whole time I am thinking..Lobotomy.
I don't think I get the procedure done. The next thing I remember is I am getting up and getting ready to walk away when I say "I remember you from somewhere". The doctor gets up and walks next to me, he is shorter than i thought. Well, he is the same height as me. He says that a few years ago we came to his clinic for something and I remembered it.

This person is a compilation of 2 or 3 people in real life who I have had conflict with. Eventually we make an unsteady peace in the dream.
There was some other stuff, but I have forgotten it almost completely. Luckily I was able to retain this.

There was this guy, he was locked up but people took him out of his cell occasionally. This person was a solitary figure and never spoke. He was under strict control by a keeper, a woman in her mid to late 20's. The Keeper took him out for a day trip. I remember the keeper got distracted and let the guy go loose but he was too dimwitted to escape or to know that he was not free. I remember him standing beside a car wash and seeing a soldier walk past, I think the soldier was a marine. This reminded me greatly of a practice horse keepers use;they put shackles around the front two legs of a horse and let them graze in an unfenced pasture. The man's keeper would later retrieve him

I was driving in a city I did not know, or it was part of one I knew but I just wasn't familiar with that area. We were going to what was a mall or multiplex. Near to us was my actual neighbor(in a car) in real life just hanging out there. He seemed like he was following us. I can't remember past this. There was a conflict or issue that was permeating this whole dream and was really the catalyst behind the story. Yet, I cannot remember what it was.

I was in a video rental store. All the movies were in VHS though, which leads me to think that this was set back in the '90's. Man, it has been such a long time since I have been in a VHS only video rental place. But anyway, the place reminded me a lot of George Costanza's movie rental place in Seinfeld. We were just standing there, soaking up hte pungent 90's atmosphere when I noticed a film on the stand. More specifically, I noticed the man on the cover. He looked like an older version of someone I knew. The resemblance was uncanny. I asked the person in front of me to come here and I said "Hey do you think this guy looks like an older Nathaniel? My interlocteur couldn't help noticing this as well. Now I began to examine hte cover in greater detail. It seemed like the film was based on a book written in 1945, or the movie itself was made in that year. I thought to myself "Now it takes a book way less time to be made into a film".
CommentaryFor some reason, the more I write in my DJ, the more I gain the powers of introspection in my dreams. Introspection is usually a quality absent in my dreams. When ever I write down my dreams for a long enough period of time, my mental faculties in my dreams start to parallel those in waking life more and more which contributes to the vividness and in my opinion to the achievement of a Lucid Dream. By that, I mean that my dreams become more like real life and subsequently less dream like. I start to be able to ponder and analyze the situations I find myself in.

I was sitting in my bed, tired beyond belief, so finally I gave in to the "Siren calls" of sleep and I was submerged in it. I was instantly brought before a lizard, a chameleon, the color of which was rapidly changing in almost a psychedelic manner. In a second or two it would go through a full color rotation, first the color would spread from its tail and make its way to its head and the same process would repeat for the next color. It was quite fascinating to behold actually.
You too man. hehe. I checked the stats feature on my Dream journal, my downloaded one, and I gotta say you got the most Dreams out of everyone else man. If that isn't persistence, I don't know what is. Hopefully, I will be able to carry on with the same determination.Quote:

14.02.2010Sleep Paralysis over and over again (WILD)
NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID
I was lying in bed, trying to nap when I found that i could not move. For the first secound or two I was perplexed by my situation but then the familiar memory of sleep paralysis was reignited and I immediately knew what was happening. It had been such a long time sense I had sleep paralysis I had almost forgotten what it was! After getting out of SP, I immediately went back in and struggled for my freedom, at last breaking myself from my invisible bonds. Awake once more, I slipped back into its strangling embrace, but this time unkowningly. I found myself in a dream for a few seconds, then It dissolved and I was once more paralyzed. This time it was harder to break free and I actually struggled for my liberation, but at last I made it out. The sequence of falling asleep, being immersed in a dream for a few secounds, then dissolving back into SP happened a few more times. At last I was free to ponder the reason why I had decided to free myself from SP rather than pursue entry into a Lucid Dream. A common delusion i had during the SP was that I was home alone. Don't ask me why, but I am scared to enter Sleep Paralysis when there is nobody home. Alas upon reassuring myself that I was not home alone, but in a house full of people, I was able to let go and accept sleep's sweet embrace.
14.02.2010Partial Recall, an annoying Father and a bizzare story line (Non-lucid)
NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID
There are parts of this dream which I no longer recall unfortunately. But because I have only recently started using a DJ again, I am thankful to have the amount of recall that I do. It is after all a blessing.
I was in the shower of a house, it was not so much a bathroom though but a square block of a room attached to the side of a building. Interestingly enough, from the shower one entered directly into the living room. There was also a glass roof and transparent walls so there was plenty of sunlight in there. Yeah I know weird, huh? Anyway, i was standing in the bathtub with the detachable showerhead in hand minding my own business when I noticed something coming from outside of the shower room. There was a commotion and someone briefly popped into warn me to keep quite. At last I heard a voice booming through the halls of that home. It was my father's, he had come to town. He waddled into the shower room with no disregard for my privacy and then took out a drawer/bag/suitcase? (Not sure what he took out) and began ripping its conents out and confiscating them. I said something hostile to him and that just made him angrier, he decided to take my I-Pod/Mp3 player. In my head I was saying "Noooooo, anything but that". During the whole time that he was ripping open my suit case and scolding me he was shouting "je suis bland, je suis bland!" in an angry tone. I took that turn of phrase to mean "I am blind" in French;although, that is not the correct word for it as I just found out (Thanks google :)).
Now the dream shifts somewhat, I forgot how the transition was made, because I unfortunately cannot remember it. But I found myself from th perspective of an audience. The audience was that of a play or a TV show sitcom. Then my perspective changed and I was on the stage/set. There was Alan Harper from "Two and a half men". He went inside a door on the set and he found his brother Charlie passed out or lieing in a shallow (heated) pool. At least I took it to be Charlie Harper in there. All I saw was a pair of out-stretched legs. When Alan opened the door, he found that he was in a room full of what appeared to be Polynesian warriors doing some sort of war dance. If not a war dance, it seemed a display of ill intentions to Alan. They were chanting too and stomping their spears or staffs to the ground. Besides that they had on fierce masks of coconut with eye holes pocked through. On their bodies, they had some sort of grass loins around them and everywhere else they had war paint. Somewhat similar to what the White body paint Australian Aboriginals wear. During this whole time, I found my perspective changing several times. From the stage,, in the room. I had a vantage point from a number of locations and angles. Suddenly a chase ensued to take Alan Harper down. The chase turned into a type of vehicle chase except with submerged water vehicles, sort of like submarines. Then the medium changed, instead of real life it became a cartoon or cartoonish at times. While in the water, someone was hanging on to the same submerged torpedo vessle when Alan told them that he confused his chasers by (his vessel) taking on the form of a Walrus or a shark? This actually happened mind you, except all I remember was seeing a shark swimming. Anyway the guy who was on the same vessel alerted the antagonists somehow, and they were right back on Alan's trail. They had a similar underwater submerged vehicle. This is where my memory fades.
Now that's some darn good recall!
Summary: I was in a dream where I was swimming through a sewer, except that the water was just regular pool water. I was confused about what I was doing in there, and after questioning my environment I left the dream and entered sleep paralysis. During sleep paralysis, I visualized wings on my back to lift me out of sleep paralysis (i was sleeping on my back), and actual wings materialized on my back and I could control them! I wasn't able to enter an actual Lucid Dream though, But I came dam close!
15.02.2010Questioning my surroundings and entering sleep paralysis (WILD)
NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID
I was seamlessly gliding through an indoor canal. Looking back on it, it must have been an underground one, but I will explain that part later. I was gliding through it, enjoying my swim. As I was doing my routine, I noticed something. It was dankier and darker than usual. As I looked around as I glided through this canal, and it was dirty, unkept and dark. I should have felt scared. After all, I was in a dirty, dark and underground canal(really a sewer). Instead, I kept on thinking. Why is it like this? Why am I here?
After much introspection, the fabric of my dream began to dissolve. Apparently thinking logically in a dream is enough to cause this because the dream came apart and I could feel my body. I was now consciously aware that I was sleeping on my side. But even though I now knew that my body was on the side, I still saw the visuals from the dream. I saw the scenery from the "underground canal" aka the sewer pass by my eyes as I lay in bed. This was remarkable and most bizzare. I could still see the visuals from the dream. This was quite different from hypogenic imagery mind you.
Anyway, I managed to push myself out of sleep paralysis. I was terrified , yet once I got out, I told my self "it's just sleep paralysis, there is nothing to be scared of". That was all it took, without any resistance I let the sleep paralysis take hold of me and before you knew it I was back in.
I ended up getting out of Sleep Paralysis again, but I immediately went back in, and then something remarkable happened. I was completely calm and lucid. I was not scared of anything, I was just focused on my goal: To get into a lucid dream.
I remembered that you are supposed to have vibrations while you are in SP that allow you to enter a dream. So I induced the vibrations. Nothing worked. So, I decided to visualize wings lifting me out of the sleep paralysis. Instead, I felt actual wings on my back (i was sleeping on my back) flapping incessantly. The more I concentrated the more they flapped. It was amazing. But no matter how hard I made my wings flap, I never managed to become airborne and to ultimately leave SP.
After my attempts to enter into an LD failed, I decided to "wake" myself up and less than 10 secounds later I was up and out of sleep paralysis.
15.02.2010Talking with an old friend (Non-lucid)

I was near a house, I was standing just outside of it I think. My friend Klay was there. He was regailing me with another story about his plans to move out and go live on his own. He was explaining to me the process, who he was going to get an apartment with etc. I remember seeing a house with some stairs going up to the first floor (about 10-12 feet up). It must have been his place, but it could have been some place else too.

I was in this open room, kind of like a study room I suppose. There were desks and people sitting at them hunched over books. They looked to be about my age. The carpet even had that uncared for look about it that told me it was a school carpet, probably last replaced in the '80's. I was sitting at the desk and apparently I was waiting for someone. Someone knocked at the door of the building. I went and opened the glass doors and let the young woman in. I wasn't sure if that was the person I was looking for so I didn't say anything, I just opened the door. I was sitting at my desk likewise hunched over my books when someone came to sit across from me. It was Owen in his faggy leather jacket. He said "Hey" and sat down right across from me. The desks were rectangular. After this part, the dream becomes foggy and gradauly ends.
WILDS are about 25% of all my recorded dreams so far.
25.02.2010Cloak of Sleep Paralysis (WILD)
NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID
This morning I was lying in bed after I just had gotten up. I was getting to sleep when I felt Sleep Paralysis setting in. It was very much like a cloak or blanket being laid over me, except it brought with it paralysis. In this state, I tried a number of visualization techniques to try and get myself out of it. Including, but not limited to, visualizing myself levitating off my bed. No luck. So, I open my eyes briefly (my dream eyes) and notice no hypagonic imagery which indicates to me that I may not be in the right frame of mind to enter into a dream. So, I wake myelf up. As soon as I do this, I start to go back to sleep. I can feel sleep paralysis returning to my body evenly. I could feel its effects increasing across my body as I lay in bed. First it was just a gentle paralysis but then it got stronger and I knew I would soon be in the dream world of sleep paralysis. However, just as this was occuring my pet kitten started meowing and scratching at my door. It was scared, so I let it in. But once I got back into bed, I couldn't feel the strong embrace of sleep paralysis returning. I was awake, there was no going back to sleep for me.

I had a dream where I had a dream within a dream. I have forgotten some crucial details to it, but what I do remember is that it had me scratching my head. Really, all I remember is someone I know running up to me and then all semblance of normal reality collapsed into something that I cannot describe. I wanna say Hamster Wheel, upside down staircase to describe this dream because I think these may have featured in it, but I can't really be sure of that either.

28.02.2010Stealing Skies from someone's car then returning them (Non-lucid)

The first part of this dream was with me being near my High School I think. I see some Skies in the front seat of car that look like mine, so I take them. I open the door and I take the skies and I go to wherever I was headed. i can't remember this part of the dream well because the recall was shit. I kept on being woken up. But what I do remember is that I returned them eventually when I realized that they were not my Skies that had gone missing. So I returned them to the car. I know this sounds bizzare, but this is not the whole picture. I cannot put the whole dream together so this is what I am left with.

28.02.2010Cross Country Skiing, Hockey, The Olympics, and David Letterman (Non-lucid)
NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID
Not all of this dream happened neccesarily chronologically.
I was on my cross country skies with someone else. We were climbing up this mound that is normally paved. The mound is right at an intersection that crosses a high way. I remember this being quite embarassing. At any rate, I remember having some difficulties climbing up the mound because of its steepness. I was really having to use the poles to propel me and even then that wasn't helping a great deal. This part of the dream ends.
I am back in grade 5 but we are still the in the present day. I am with the same class I was with back then. We are not even in Vancouver, but somehow we were going to see the olympics. Aaron said that he wanted to compete in the next Olympics so he was going to make an impression on one of the judges. He ends up getting in a playful snow ball fight with several people and a lot of people happily engage including teachers. Me, being somewhat of a scrooge thinks "Why are the teachers doing this? I thought teachers were supposed to be very strict about snow ball fights". This should have been a sign that this was in actuality a dream and not real life.
At another part of the dream, I see the olympics. My perspective keeps changing, I am in no fixed location. Rather, I am a bodiless observer. For some reason, I can see some augmented reality by location which shows stats about the people. Like i can see stats on how many doctors they have. David Letterman, who is taking a Kindergarten class on a field trip has 30. I overhear some announcement saying that the Canadian on the American Hockey Team is only doing this as a one time thing and he is loyal to Canada.
I overhear David Lettermans students asking him to pull some strings and get them some better seats. A hockey game is about to start. I am not sure between who.

03.03.2010Sleep Parlysis -almost a breakthrough- (WILD)
NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID
I napped early in the day, so my sleep schedule was somewhat distorted. I ended up staying up till around 4 or 3 in the morning (working). Anyway, I was lying in bed around 5 or 6 am, when I felt Sleep Paralysis slowly binding me. I wanted to get up and shake it off but by the time I decided to get up, It was too late. The sleep paralysis had set in.
So, I am in sleep paralysis and the first thing I think is "gotta have a lucid dream". During the whole time I tried to escape from my body and free my dream body. I came close a number of times.
Here is what is interesting, I managed finally to levitate my body out of bed. I visualized my body levitating and I made it float up to the ceiling. I also visualized wings on my back and it worked. Not as well as the last time I created dream wings but they were still wings. So, to recapp, I was able to levitate my body, create "dream" wings on my back, and I almost escaped out of sleep Paralysis. I left Sleep Paralysis by my own volition, I was in control the whole time except for transitioning out of my body.
Grammar and spelling are pretty bad here. I'm pretty tired. meh.

05.03.2010Crumbling Buildings and a kidnapping (Non-lucid)
NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID
I was overlooking some towers, they were very similar to old style gothic architecture but at the same time they were quite different. They were in a way similar to the buildings in Lord of the Rings, they were very tall, taller than many sky sckrapers. They were all clustered around each other. I was looking down from the sky, I was disembodied, yet I was also the leader of this domain. In the dream, I was the leader of this nation which was some Eastern European country. The buildings crumbled before my sight, they collapsed. Almost as if hit by an earth quake.
I was looking down on this mess and I asked my self "How will I fix this nation without communism"? I noticed something down on the earth, there was a guard amist the ruins. He was talking to someone. He confessed to murdering Nada, he had made it look like an accident but he murdered her with intent.
There was a 300 pound Kid around 7-12 years old, he or she was kidnapped by a 30 year old women and taken to an office building where he or she sat in a lobby. The 300 pound kid got into a conversation with the secretary about a type of drink, like a powder/fruit drink or something. The secretary alerted the authorities about the kid.
