Nemo's DJ (for dream circle)
Jan 29, LUCID
I'm sitting at a sidewalk café - there is a cup of coffee and some pastry on a little table in front of me. A waiter comes to take away the dishes but I haven’t finished the pastry so I send him away. I realize I’m dreaming so I finish the pastry and decide to have a cigarette. (I haven't smoked in 7 years, so it's fun to indulge when I'm lucid.) I ask a young couple sitting at a nearby table for a smoke, but neither of them have one. One of them is an attractive black woman. As I look at her she turns greenish-blue (N’avi-colored) and becomes somewhat bloated. I lose interest and find myself standing on a sidewalk with a tabby cat at my feet. Still lucid, I remember to treat the cat as a dream trigger (see below for dream trigger info); I lean/fall toward the cat, which has morphed into a flat pancake of brown fur. I pass into/through the cat/portal. Now I’m in a horizontal position looking at a pile of objects/forms close to my face that resemble books. Everything is darker than normal and with very little color. I try to read the ‘book’ titles, then turn over and look up at some sort of ceiling. Since I’ve passed through the portal my body feels odd – kind of floaty and buzzy. I wake up.
I think what I saw after passing through the portal wasn’t a pile of books; it seemed more like it was my mind trying to make sense of something unknown by interpreting it as something familiar. Everything on the other side of the portal was non-normal. This is my first successful, intentional use of a dream trigger. Successfully using a dream trigger is a huge breakthrough for me; i am looking forward to many strange and wonderful adventures here on out!

DREAM TRIGGER: “Dream triggers are elements which present themselves within your dream state repeatedly, consistently, continuously, although you may not hold an awareness objectively of this particular trigger. But within each of your dream imagery time frameworks you shall image a thing, an image, consistently that is your individual dream trigger. This is a window, and once you allow yourself the ability to manipulate within your dream state, you may access this trigger and you may use this trigger as a window into other areas of consciousness ... and it literally is as a window! It shall open and allow you to move through your imagery of your dream into other areas of consciousness and access other essences and other areas of your own essence.
A dream trigger may be as mundane as a book that goes unnoticed within your dream imagery, but is consistently an object which appears in your dream. Or, it may be a leaf. It may be a windowpane. It may be a creature. It may be an article of clothing. It appears so very mundanely that it escapes your noticing. It is as if it were a background prop within your imagery of your dreamscape. Therefore, you pay little attention, but it consistently appears and in this is consistently available for your access into other areas of your own consciousness.” Elias

I used the cat as a portal because i have consistently dreamt of cats my whole life. Elias' dream triggers correlate very closely with Castaneda's dream scouts.
