Bananas at the Bahamas (DILD)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

It was weird, I was in a yatch, but it has many passengers, like it was a public transportation. I was sitting in one of the chairs, talking to some people I don't know, probably talking and differentiating the "public" yatch with the normal ones (I don't exactly remember all the details about the conversation).

There it goes! The engine has finally started. As I was looking back to the shore, I noticed a very unrealistic scene: the banana trees were taller and bigger than the coconut trees!

I'm dreaming I said, as I look at the waves and notice the bunch of dolphins splashing water to us. It was a wonderful sight, and my mind's telling me I'm in the Bahamas region.

There was this guy, beside me constantly glancing at me once in a while. I glanced at him as well, but I never knew that person. As he continues to glance at me most of the time, I looked back again and saw my friend who, in real life, is in Dubai. I'm definitely dreaming, I said.

I talked to him, but to my disgust, his face slowly turned blur. I decided to stabilize it by rubbing my hands, but ended up waking up because I was too excited to prolong the dream.

Implant (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

So i was in my house and this guy came in and tryed to give me a freeimplant to stop my ADHD. My parents said go for it, and they held me down while he implanted a divice in my thought. This divice came with a remote to shock and stun me. So i went into the bathroom took out the stichs and tryed to yank out the implant. But i woke up after this point

I guess I'll kick this thing off with the first real post , if the below background info is out of line for how these DJ's work let me know, I am very new :)

When I was young (6-10) I remember having bad dreams about my parents dying, My mom (alternative spirit that she is) taught me how to control my dreams and after a while I got to the point where I had continuity in the storylines and were pretty damn amazing.

And then I just stopped and kinda forgot about it and stopped remembering my dreams for the next 15 years. After stumbling sort-of randomly onto these boards I suddenly remembered the whole experiance (I have very few memories of my childhood that I can recall now).


WILD Attempts

So yesterday afternoon was my first attempt to WILD, I laid down on the couch in the livingroom and closed my eyes, focusing on my breathing. On every inhale I count the breath mentally, and on every exhale I think repeatedly "I will remember my dreams". From a rational standpoint I understand what the Wild attempts to induce, essentially tricking your body into thinking its asleep while you keep your mind from shutting off its reasoning ability. I had trouble keeping the count accurate, my mind wandered pretty badly until I hit about 50 (counting one.... two.... uh... what count was I on? Seven.... Eight... etc.) At around 50 breaths (i'd put it at approx 5 minutes) My extremities started to tingle a little, as if they were all asleep but I didn't feel compelled to shift. I felt a lightness come to my body, and my immediate reaction was to open my eyes. I woke for real ( reality checked the dog *thinks: You can talk, this is my dream and I command you to talk to me*) and went on with my day.

Second attempt was bedtime, I share a bed with my wife and the room with two big snoring dogs. I don't really have trouble getting to sleep but I think the distracting nature of the arrangement isn't doing me any favors re: concentration - Most of my attempts will likely need to take place during the day, DILD (once I get decent recall back because mine sucks), or early in the morning. I lay in bed at around 10:30pm, I had been anxious to get to bed all evening. Going back through the WILD process again after maybe 70 breaths I was able (for the first time in years) to visualize a mansion and actually see it with my eyes closed. It wasn't in color, but rather in shades of grey drawn with colored pencils. With a little bit of focus I was able to rotate it slowly, but at that point my wife scooted against me a little bit and I lost my concentration. Tried for a further half hour but was unable to get it back.

K = My wife.

K had work this morning at 7am which means she had to get up at around 5:20am - I had her wake me up hoping to catch myself mid-REM cycle, no such luck - I was unable to remember any of my dreams. After that I made another attempt to WILD as I was still pretty sleepy and it was still dark. Never got far into this attempt because I kept getting uncomfortable in how I was laying and had to shift every couple of minutes.

Questions: For unsuccessful attempts should I be color coding?
I didn't see this being against the rules to talk about so correct me if I missed it, I'm a medical cannabis user - Does this have any negative impacts on the process?

I haven't been able to remember my dreams for a while now, but I woke up this morning in almost, a transparent fog. It clung to me for the better part of an hour, making everything seem more pink than it was, haha. I hop my eyes aren't screwed up!

Non Lucid Dream

I was at my moms place with an aquaintance who I barely know, and we had to fix my moms fence..I remember carrying 2 big sheets of ply-wood and a bucket of nails. As we made it over towards the fence, the dream shifted and we ended up at his house instead...The place was amazing, it was nestled in this incredible canyon surrounded by watterfalls and large rock formations.
It was sort of odd, they suggested I had a shower..at first I said "no thats ok I dont really need one" but they insisted so to be polite I just went ahead with it.
The bathroom was odd aswell, instead of a door there was this long curtain, probably a good 20 feet, but it didnt quite block the whole enterance so you could still see in. I dont actually rememeber having the shower though so im not sure what happened there.
The next thing I rememeber I was in my car driving along some curvey roads, my dog was with me. we stopped...I guess to take her for a walk, we went into the forrest and stopped by a lake. When we decided to leave I noticed this flat screen TV on a tree next to us...then I noticed a house just through the trees to my right....needless to say I was kinda freaking out so we bolted back to the car and went back to the house I was at before.
Things had changed though. There seemed to be a dark over tone with everything...people looked at me wierd and made kind of freaky remarks, so I jumped in my car and took off


This wasnt a full nightmare..but it seemed to be heading that way.

Yeah, especially the SP part.

The other night, although it was very scary, but I was amazed by my SP experience. At first, there were blue colors swirling back and forth, disappearing alternatively. The scary part: there was a figure of a human in front of me, it was like a silhouette and I can't even distinguish if it was really human or not. Then, another one appeared, this time, they were talking. Lastly, I felt like my body is being carried away. I was disappointed that I didn't sink into a dream, despite realizing that I'm near to dreaming. It was like my mind is disconnecting from my body, and I felt heavy, sinking into my bed.

Apparently, this is really common with sleep paralysis. When I get SP (so far only induced once) I tend to stay fairly connected with the waking world, so no shadowy figures for me! But when I was first researching SP, that seems to be a very common experience, so don't worry(:

It was around 6am when I tried. I stayed pretty normal, just relaxed, until there was a really cold spot on my thigh. It felt pressured too, as if something had stabbed me in the thigh. It felt like pain, but without the pain part if that makes sense. You know, that cold, uncomfortable, adrenaline-packed feeling? Well, it was slightly terrifying, as the cold and pressure began to spread down my leg. I tried to stay calm, but I guess I got myself to hyped up to continue.

Went to bed last night at around 10pm and tried for about a half hour to WILD at bedtime, got to SP but K rolled and I was unable to continue.

K woke me up at 3:30, I gave the reality check word (corn) andI promptly fell asleep.

Woke up this morning at approx. 8am, lay in bed for a half hour but could not remember any dreams.

1:30pm
K went to work and I had nothing to do for the rest of the day, I pulled up the ultimate lucid dream induction mp3 and got back into bed. I was able to get to SP pretty quickly and felt the vibrations travel up and down my body, my nose itched but I ignored it.

I opened my mouth (normally a nose breather) and took several slow deep breaths... If you havn't tried that you really need to, it felt like my chest could expand forever, I had no feeling of limitation in any way. After a while I got into HHs and at one point I was able to expand the loose "sense" of an item into my parents kitchen, I kinda looked at it passively for a few seconds and then felt like I was poking my head through a window and into the HH, unfortunately I was unable to fully transition and the more detailed image collapsed back to the abstract.

I spend the next hour or so just sorta lying there in stasis trying different techniques to get myself over the gap, I tried the "roll over" technique per Yoshu, Reverse Blinking, mantras... Nothing really seemed to get me there.

Any other techniques I should try? I'll be doing WBTB at 3:30am PST this time coming out to the couch for the attempt.

In fact I'm not worrying, I always feel excited when I think about it. From the part when my body sinks, up to the part like my body is being carried away. :D

@Blueriot - If everytime you attempt WILD and you don't succeed, you can do DILD. Just be sure that before you fall asleep, your thoughts are about LDing. Listening to that mp3 (I also listen to that same mp3), mantras will surely take effect. Remember that voice of the woman in the mp3, saying "You are dreaming?" It always feel amazing that when I'm already in my dream, I always hear that voice, reminding me that I'm dreaming. :D

Went to bed late last night. Was dreaming I was at the computer, listening to my recording of summertime by porgy and bess, typing into my dream journal.

Someone contacted about my video and said something about it.
When I woke up to do this, I realized I just had a dream about typing it in the entry! :eek:

LUCID NON
i was sitting in a park when i pinched my nose... i couldnt breathe but i realised it was a dream.i got overexcited and span around taking in the beautifull scnery of the park.i tried to order a gun to my hands to shoot a squirrel but as i closed my eyes to concentrate... i opened them to the real world...

Went to sleep last night around 9:30 with K, she usually wakes up a few times during the night so I asked her to wake me up around 3:30 - went to sleep listening to ZBS's Jack Flanders's Return to Inverness last night...

Random Aside:
ZBS media is a nonprofit that essentially creates and records high quality radio dramas in the style of the old fashion detective serials, etc. except it also delves into philosophy, astral projection, alternate universes, etc. - If you're into something different its def worth a try, although I would recommend starting with "The Fourth Tower of Inverness" if you're interested in more philosophy/metaphysical travel, or The Incredible Adventures of Jack Flanders which is more fantasy based, but definitely still fun for adults.


Ok back to the evening.

We went to sleep, and K woke me up around 2am - I wandered out to the couch and tried to WBTB but couldn't get comfortable, every time I got into the groove I either got too cold or too hot (couch was too close to the fire so my feet get roasted)

I went back to bed around 3am totally awake, K was too so we medicated, got something to eat, and went back to sleep at around 4am.

I actually had a dream at this point although it was incredibly brief, but considering it's been about a year since I last remember dreaming I'll take it as a sign of improvement.

Content was sorta R , first time I've had a sex dream in at least 3 years.

I woke up quickly afterward and focused on committing it to memory since I didn't want to turn on the light to write, seems to have actually worked. This morning I attempted to WBTB in the morning, K got up to handle the animals so I could stay in bed. Kept getting itch attacks every half hour or so, I resisted the first time for at least 20 minutes but it kept getting more intense and I gave in to scratch my nose.

K has work again today and I really have very little to do so I may attempt another mid-afternoon WILD today.


Oh, I forgot to mention - I started 250mg of powdered (as close as I could get it after some time in the dehydrator) silene capensis the "african dream root".

This morning was my second day of taking that in about 4oz of water, taken before breakfast. There is some thought that it may act as a MAOI inhibitor, by decreasing the bodies ability to process the DMT we produce as we sleep, with the slower rate of DMT degradation it would amplify the intensity and memorability of dreams significantly, most people report effect after about 3 days of ingestion, so day after tomorrow might be unusual. Despite that being some basic guesswork I will be restricting myself to a MAOI-OK diet as that can be fairly dangerous.

Thats me for last night, a little disappointed that my results were so minimal again but looking forward to the SC kicking in, and glad I at least remember some sort of dream even with how rudimentary and brief it was.

My main issue is that my dream recall is pretty non-existant so I don't even know if I've been in a situation where I can be kicked into an LD state. I'm hoping that the Silene Capensis will kickstart my recall by providing a vivid experiance that will be easy to remember so I have something strong to build off of.

Well, the most important thing you should have is enough sleep. A week ago, I started by having a regular sleep, since I was a very late sleeper and always wake up early. For a week, I maintained a regular sleep schedule without even attempting to have a LD. I've had have dreams which were vivid, but kept it in my dj rather than posting it here :D

Went to bed around 1230 AM this morning.

Had a dream of the ancient Incas or Mayans playing that hip ball game that National Geographic would talk about on TV.

Was watching them play this but they were playing it in hawaii, going tak a teya tak a teya tak a teya.

Then I woke up around four am and entered it into my dream journal.

Primitive Adventure (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

Another movie-like dream playing in front of me, and the main character was me. Sadly, I could have been lucid if I was aware that I was dreaming.

I found myself in a giant tree inhabited by chicken-sized birds. The dream was a bit blurry, skipping scenes at some point. I was then holding a bird I killed, or shall I say I hunted. Without cooking, I was eating the bird, starting from its wings. So ridiculous as it may sound, the dream continued, skipping another scene. The wingless bird slipped from my hand, falling down the giant tree. At the same time, someone saw it and pointed a gun at me, telling me that hunting was prohibited in the area. With a swift move, I jumped off a tree, and ran away in a flashing speed. As I was running, the scene started to change. I reached a village, an odd looking one. There were houses made of wood. As I continued walking through the village, I saw these two strange signboards. The first one pointed to the left, with big letters saying "Motel". I disregarded reading the other one, and headed to the direction of the motel.

A long-haired man, wearing nothing but a piece of dark brown clothing as his underwear approached me. Like a pirated movie, the sounds were not clear. The man greeted me and said, "Welcome to **** motel". I couldn't exactly hear what he said, but I knew he welcomed me. He lead me to a series of rooms, like the village, the motel was made of wood, they were like treehouses. I choose a room, and to my surprise, a gorgeous lady was standing near the bed, wearing a long red piece of clothing covering her body. As I was about to approach her, everything started to fade to black. The next thing I saw was the back of my eyelids.

me and a friend were running from the cops. i jumped in a van and drove off round the corner. the back wheels slid out and i felt the car drift. i stopped the car and jumped out, to find i was on the edge of a cliff... i fell and WOKE!

i had the weirdest dream last night where i was standing on my street corner looking into the night sky.
it felt like a bit later that i heard someone screaming and as i ran to the scream i found a dog. the dog was lying there like it was running sideways.it was dead and with a garden fork through its chest. i chose to investigate who killed the dog but i woke up all of a sudden.

it was scary at first when i woke up and the weird thing was that there is a dog trainer living around that corner and i could hear their dogs ...... barking

Heheh, Had a dream of big black bear chase us (me and my brother) out of town because we didn't pay the bill at a local Japanese joint.

Indeed, that's scary, but once you learn to fully control your dreams, much more become lucid everytime you have a scary dream, everything will change :)

lazy town

i was walking through a town much like the one on 'lazytown' when i realised i was asleep. i rubbed my hands and span around vigorously... then i leaned forwards keeping my body stiff and straight, then stuck my arms out as i was about to hit the floor and flew, landing on my feet spinning, then i did what always happens at the end of my dreams, i BLINKED.opened my eyes to stare at the ceiling, 7:34 on my alarm, i had woken late

I suggest you do mantras before you go to bed. I did it last night, and it was successful though I only recalled though dreams.

Mantras are like autosuggestions that you say to your subscionscious. For example, if you want to have vivid dreams, you'll say "I'll have vivid dreams" over and over again.

The mantra I used last night was simple: "I'll wake up when I dream, and I'll remember them."

Success, my dream recall improved a little bit :)

Stand Out in the Crowd (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

This dream was a very short yet vivid one. The scenario was during Sinulog, one of the festivities here in our country. Sinulog is the mother of all festivals here in our country, and it's a very colorful event. You can google it up for you to see.

Sinulog, a time when me and my friends usually do unusual stuff to stand out in a crowd. We were in Ayala Business Park, one of the most populated places during special events. I don't exactly remember what we were doing (since this is a very short dream), but I knew were getting noticed by the public.

Then there came this group of guys, all wearing white, specifically white unbuttoned shirts, revealing their bodies, and white kaki pants. They sure beat us and they stood out in the crowd.

As they came closer, I noticed they were my classmmates in high school! But there was one guy who's not supposed to be going with them, in fact, he is one of my brothers in a fraternity in a college I currently study in!

I approached him, and he looked me and said, "You betrayed us, you're mingling with those guys and you forgot us. Now, get out of my way."

Then I woke up.

The conversation may not be exactly what I remembered, but It sure has the same thought he wanted to tell me, of course in that dream.

Midnight Adventure (Non-lucid)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

We were in a park, and it was around midnight. We were sitting in a circle, a group which consisted a mixture of my friends in our neighborhood and some of my fraternity brothers. They were talking, but I couldn't remember how the conversation started, but the dream all started from here on.

"Hey bro, let's buy something to drink, why don't you go around and collect money?" C, one of my fraternity brothers, asked. "A'right," I said. I stood up and began collecting money from each one of them. I gathered a lot of cash, enough to buy us lots of beer (it was weird, in real life, they won't give that much, they're a bit greedy).

I went away looking for a shop were I could buy the drinks, but ended up going inside what I thought was a shop. The room could be seen outside, since it had a large glass window. In the first room, I saw around 4-5 sheets of paper, with colors on it, like they were drawn by children. I went to another room, which I believe was an office. There, I saw an old guys, wearing something like a laboratory gown. We talked and the last thing I remembered was that I told him I have a friend who likes teaching kids, and that she could help him out.

When I went out, two of my fraternity brothers were waiting for me, breathing hard like they were chased. "Dude, our other friends were taken to somewhere, and somebody told me they could be in a village somewhere from here. Let's go after them, let's ride in our motorcyles."

They both have motorcycles, so I hitched with A. We went off, starting with a very steep road. "Are we going to some kind of mountain village", I asked my brother. "Maybe", A said.

We reached a point where the road leads into two ways. The one I was riding with turned left, and the other one headed straight.

"Hey, why are we going this way?", I asked. In a few words he just said, "Sit back and relax".

After a few minutes, I realized where we were heading. We passed by the house of A's ex-girlfriend. He stared at her while she was doing laundry, and then we went off.

The next scenes were exciting, we passed by rocky terrains. After that exciting part, we reached a muddy terrain, which at that time, had a flood. We left the bike and walked on foot. We were in the middle, then I suddenly woke up.

b4 i strt my dream i had last night i want to say something. i dont know how to swim but i was swimming anyways. you wil understand later.

anyways the dream began as im swimming with my 4 friends which looked like the middle of the ocean and was closed to wheere i live. we decided to dive deep into the water and all of a sudden i couldbnt swim back up (because i dnt know how to swim.. i dont know how to float i guess). 3 of mi friends got trapped in a net somehow while the other one was walking towards them asi was pushing and hitting him trying to let him know i was drowning.i also tried to yell but lost all the air out of my lungs.he didnt respond.

awhile later my friends got to the surface and left me at the bottom of the sea. i was saved by some kind of amphibious creature which gave me something so i could breath underwater. then they swam really fast with me away.

the next scene i remember was me going to the surface out of the ocean and into my house i went up into my house and looked at the fried who had not saved me, all my other friends were there too and they were suprised i was alive.i asked him to come to the ocean with me and he came with me and these other two uknown people who i swam with in the middle of the ocean in the midnight.they told of stories about going to the north and southe oceans of the world. i asked them a question about the lights in the night sky which can be seen sometimes and one of them said theyd never seen them.

Went to bed last night and had a dream which I was playing with paper airplanes, which folded themselves into real ones before taking off.

And these are old WW2 war planes, and I was dogfighting them and everything.

But in one I was flying Some elderly man was in the back seat. Didn't look too good and I don't know how he got there. Felt sort bad for him that was there with me. Of course, I was tossing an stubborn elderly man trying to fight me around a hallway into a vending machine in an earlier dream so I guess we're even.

Has anyone seen the television show Dexter? There is a character in the show called the 'Ice Truck Killer' and he is this insane serial killer. anyways...

I was in a refridgerated room the type of room the Ice Truck Killer uses for killing his victims. I was in the corner watching as he cut someone up into pieces. I knew I was next since I was locked in there with him. I started to get very scared. Then I realized it was only a dream. So I concentrated really hard on forcing myself to wake up so I could escape. Then all of the sudden I was awake.



I rarely have lucid dreams so it was pretty cool. Too bad nothing nice was going on so I didn't feel the need to exit the dream.

Nope, haven't seen it for awhile now.

My dream last night was in a prison treating convicts during lock down, most likely in the galley or the showers.
You name it, it was going on.

After everything was locked down, I then started wiping up some guy's tattoos off, the type of tattoos that looked like runes with a antiseptic wipe. They look like they were somewhat burned off with a laser. But after asking if he still wanted them, he said something and walked off.
Woke up and the place was empty. But after walking around the place, something was still there, bothering me. Was getting hairs standing on end and chills of some sorts.

The dream menu. (WILD)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

This last dream was a lucid directed from a succesful wild. In the dream i was inside of a house and this menu poped up saying "The lucid dream menu" I instantly chose options. At this point i was semi-lucid untill i did a hand-rub and i became in full control again. The majority of the dream was spent looking around at the vividness, Thinking how close to real the whole dream was. At the end i could feel my body and i was still able to move. But in the dream my eyes were starting to be forced shut and fainaly i gave up and woke up.

Raiding a cady store last night, filled with lollipops and easter candy. especially the cadberry eggs.

Been having dreams filled with songs such as the godfather and other well known tunes, not much else to report. Still haven't gotten lucid yet.

The box (Non-lucid)

Most of this dream was forgotten, So i am only going to say the things i remember. In the dream the us army was in this room with a box then out of noware one of the guys takes a scanner up to it and yells "SHIT, ITS HOT" And then he called in a bomb squad. They were wearing odd cloths and shoes that said "RC" (how did i not notice?!?!)Then they were chooseing what wires to cut. Then the enemey who planted the bomb came inside the rooms with guns from noware and shot the us people. The uniform said "Sobiets" on it. Then i got shot in the shoulder. And it hurt like fuck. Then i bled out and was a ghost. But my eyes started closeing and i woke up.

Yesterday evening, had a dream hanging out with bunch of people. Laughing having a good time. Guess was looking at youtube comments and someone did acsii art on video comments.

Then went to some make shift drum set and was messing with one of the foot pedals. tried to adjust it, and after a few times I woke up and said 'Drums'.

I was in a room and i was lucid and bored so i decided to break some windows and then when i did that the police saw and come after me. I ran away and past kenny from southpark. And then the police dude cornered me in a room so i was looking around for a way out and i found a gun. I shot him twice and woke up. This dream was only semi lucid

had a dream of running down monsarrat ave in Honolulu from where I was camping at on diamond head to wakiki beach. had some dog chasing me. started out when it was dark then it was light when I got down to the bottom of the hill. seem pretty fit.

The computer (DILD)

NON-DREAM DREAM LUCID

So i was on my computer and i noticed something was not right. I did a nose rc and it failed. hen i looked at my hands and they were normal. but i noticed that my computer was acting really strange, So i imagined flying and i started flying. I instantly knew this was a dream, I decided to clear the whole enviorment and play a real version of left 4 dead. I did that for about 5 minutes and i got bored, I was semi lucid at this point. Then i was on a rooftop looking for something sexy to happen. But i noticed i was getting to exited and stoped myself. I became fully lucid again. I then started spawing things from garrysmod and totaly lost lucitity And i started building a train, And then i said wait where is my body? and i became lucid again. I was super bored and i spawned a girl in a bikini. But then the dream started geting fuzzy. I spined around rubed my hands. But by then it was all too late. I woke up.

The dream was around 15 minutes for sure, Possably more

Had dream of Monica from Adams family.

She was a clerk at a music store. Was talking to her and wrote viola going up on a musical staff. Next to it was the word violin.
She was also doing crystal ball for and giving me kisses. A few kisses later, my face was on a computer screen telling me how much each kiss was. Fell asleep at the computer and woke up in waking life with the phone ringing.

dreamt of some old antique museum in the backyard with security guards doing rounds in the place.

Then some dogs showed up, so I took them in and let them in the museum until could get them back to their owners.

But later they went missing and then I woke up.

had a dream of checking into an old mansion some place while traveling oversea.

Woman at the deck was talking to me and asked her if I should leave my musical instruments at the desk... I then promptly answered, If you going to say yes, going wonder what the hell is the matter with you. And she said, that exactly what I was thinking.

Then she had a candle and lead me to the room but went to get my viola and cornet and she was gone, so it got dark. Some guy was there in a room by himself with the lights on. He was trying to fix my viola earlier. But couldn't fix it, and he was gone.

Then got lost. was in a bed woke up in the dark hollering "Jack? Jeff?" Then got a feeling of being taken over and then my jaw said "I know who you are ****** ******!"

Then whatever it was left me and I feel to back on the back sleeping, and then woke up to fill in my dream journal.
Still have chills just thinking about it.
