      OOBE Experience

I've had one OOBE (out of body experience) and it was during a string of SPs one night. This actually occurred near the time I had my first LD.

It was funny. It didn't scare me at all. I remember standing right next to my feet, and I was looking down on me sleeping. I remember grinning since I thought of jumping down from my bed and walking out the door. But I stopped myself from doing it. I was still "kinda" superstitious and in doubt. I thought to myself, "If I leave, will I ever come back?"

I snapped out of my sleep paralysis. I don't remember what I was thinking that time. I went back to sleep and left it at there.

I don't believe that my soul really jumped out of my body; I know it's all in my head, in my dream. I wanted to try it again but have not been successful so far. Now that I'm proactively inducing LDs and OOBEs, maybe I'll have a story to tell in the future.

For now, I'll share my past experiences, LDs that I can vividly remember.

      Thanks!

      Enough is Enough

      repost and my first LD

I've had sleep paralysis (sp) since I was 12-13 and currently I'm 23. My most sps in a night was 6 and it terrified me even while sleeping on my side, which reduces the chance of sp. I would get the usual ghostly figures and sounds with my sps.

My first lucid moment came from an sp episode. It was during a string of sps that I had one night. I think after 3rd sp, I finally said to myself, "enough is enough." I went back to sleep and of course got in to sp again.

It was so vivid. The blanket that I was in turned into a ghost that was suffocating or smothering me. During sp, you can't move. This time I did and I think it was all in my head or dream. I fought back, strangled the ghost with my hands. It flailed around and it struggled. Finally, the ghost blanket stopped moving. After the ordeal, I woke up with a sense of accomplishment and relief.

Ever since I've been researching connections between sp and lucid dreaming. From then on, if I slip into sp, I don't get scared anymore.

      Roller coaster Bed

I don't know if it's LD or not. This "dream" was so vivid, memorable and it felt so real. This was my 2nd LD awhile back.

I'm on my bed and I knew I was in SP, in the blurry state. The bed started to shake and vibrate, a sensation that comes with SP. I think I remember saying "let's do this," and immediately I was in a roller coaster. I was still in my room but I can feel my bed going up and down, following the motion of a roller coaster.

I can feel the wind rushing towards me and I can feel the "ups and downs." I felt happy and excited, felt like I was a kid again. But the sensation was so intense that I wanted to back out. So I snapped out of it; opened my eyes and wiggled my fingers and toes.

      Gate of Heaven

      March 1, 2010

This is my recent LD, and the LD that motivated me to actively go into LD and join this forum. I remember that the LD happened in the middle of my dream. Anything before my LD, I can't remember. I must have been running away from something.

The part that I remember vividly was climbing the "gate of heaven." It must have been night or afternoon. The sky was greenish blue. As I got to the top of the gate, I jumped down headfirst below the open sky. I can feel the wind rushing at me, my stomach with butterflies and my body trembling. I turned my body around, facing away from the ground and towards the sky. It was still greenish blue.

I turn my head to the side and it was the most amazing experience I've felt in my dream. Angels were falling with me and they were singing. The song didn't have any words, it sounded more like a choir church song. I felt uplifted or energized when I listened to them sing. Lightning streaked across the sky, flashing a light at the angels. I smiled.

But the falling sensation was too intense. I felt scared and afraid that I'd hit the ground soon. I didn't even know if I was near or not since I had my back towards the ground. I woke up in an SP and snapped out of it.

I felt sad since I had to wake up. But I felt happy and energized because of the experience.

Angry Failed Attempt (and my SP experiences)

      March 3, 2010

I tried to induce an LD during an SP. I slept on my back and waited for SP. A ringing sound started to become louder and my body started to vibrate; I knew I was entering SP. The ringing sound stopped and was replaced with a hiss. I opened my eyes and tried to move but couldn't. I was definitely in SP.

The curtain near me turned into a ghost. It reached over at me. Before it could terrorize me, I said to the ghost, "nope, not gonna happen." The curtain stopped and I remember "petting" it. After petting it, I stared at the ceiling and tried to change my surroundings. I failed. I closed my eyes, hoping that the visions would come there. Nope.

I opened my eyes again and snapped out of my SP. I was frustrated that it didn't work. I slept on my back and waited for the SP to come. It never did. I think the reason why I didn't get into SP was because I was frustrated and mad. After an SP, I think I shouldn't be mad and angry since it would prevent me from getting into an SP again.
