I guess you could say I have a lot of nightmares. But I don't see them like that. I do tend to have a lot of dreams that involve death, sometimes even my own, but they rarely disturb me too badly. For me, the weirder my dream is, the better. It gives me something to think about for the rest of the day.
That said, here is the first dream I posted on these forums.
Part 1:
I'm in what my dream basically labels as my dorm's bathroom, but in reality, it's like the bathroom of a luxury spa, crossed with Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" video (the part where she's being pulled from the tub and the part where the monster/zombie things come out of their little pods. Though none of that actually happens.) Everything is mainly made of white tile and some shiny white plaster type substance, with accents of gold, gray, black, and tan. I haven't actually used anything in this room yet, but I intend to use one of the bubble baths. (everyone else in this room is either in the baths, or walking around in white, toga-esque gowns, carrying towels and checking on the guests.) Then this part of the dream just stops.
Part 2: I'm not in this part of the dream, but my real self knows what's going on and sees it like I'm looking over the events. The first bit of this I don't see in detail, only in flashes, as if I'm learning the backstory for this particular part of the dream. I first see a short flash of some girl with long, dark hair and features that look Asian I think. She's screaming, but it is muffled, and the image is foggy. Next, I see her on some sort of table, like a surgeon's table. Then, I see the surgeon making a cut across her waist. Then I see her with no lower body. The surgeon then attatches a fish tail where her lower body used to be (Picture a dolphin's tail, same shape and color, but with shiny scales like a fish) So she'd essentially been transformed into a mermaid.
The next thing I see is an old tan car with mermaidgirl's two friends inside. Her friends are both female, I don't see the driver but the passenger looks pretty average with darkish hair. They're trying to get to her and save her. I know that this car has the ability to fly, although I never see it fly. This car also acts as a boat, and is pulled by a silvery white horse. This car-boat-horse-thing is travelling through a flooded parking garage, which basically looks like it's right by a beach with high tide so that ocean waves flood in, but is in an urban setting, which is not underwater. Their car hits a parked car (which is exactly like theirs, but the horse is tan, the car is silver.) and beheads the horse. (when the horse's head falls off, it looks like a stuffed animal, light, fuzzy fabric, pink felt blood, X's for eyes and the tongue hanging out.) They go about their way, as if they didn't know they had just killed this horse. The passenger then points out her window and shouts to her friend (the driver) that she knows "that guy." He's around 50, overweight, with a pretty crazy moustache, and dressed in old war general type clothing. He's dressed this way because he reenacts wars. (I know it to be civil war, but I'm preeetty sure the civil war went nothing like this.) He's reenacting one right now, in a huge 1,000 passenger canoe, which is pulled by a whale. The passenger of the horsecar shouts to the war guy for help, and he agrees, and they go on their way to save mermaidgirl. (at every wave or interesting event forward, I hear the passengers of the canoe "ooh"ing, "ahh"ing, and "whoa!"ing.) I already know that mermaidgirl has been thrown into something that looks like a whirlpool mixed with a black hole, and has thus died. Her friends, the war guy, and his 1,000 passengers don't know this until they get to where she was taken. (I never see where she was taken, only a little of what happens to her. I also never see the reactions of these people, but I don't think they were too upset. They kinda took it with an "aww, that sucks." attitude, while the 1,000 passengers groaned in sadness.)
Part 1 and 2 meet:
I have somehow left my dorm/spa expirience to go to this parking garage (which is now unflooded). Mind you, neither my real self nor my dream self knows anyone who's been in this dream at all. But when I get to the beheaded-horse-car-boat, I see that the driver's neck has been slit (her eyes are still open, she's staring at me), and the passenger is paralyzed (and he's dead. Cause of death unknown.) I feel extremely guilty for this, and automatically blame myself. I then turn towards the staircase, and see a woman with dark hair (looks nothing like the mermaidgirl btw) staring at me. I ask her "Did I really kill them??" and she slowly fades away.
-------------------------
I wasn't neccessarily disturbed by this dream at all. When I woke up, I basically just thought "......what....was....that about??" then spent the rest of the day remembering details and telling it to my friends.
