I've been keeping a written journal for a couple weeks now and I figure I might as well put them on here and see what you guys think. I am not gonna back track and write all of them, but I will start updating this whenever I write in my notebook.

On a side note, i have also been keeping a moleskin sketchbook and if a dream has a particularly vivid visual moment, I will spend some time drawing it out in my sketchbook. I might scan them in at some point.

Morning of Thursday, May 5th
Slept from 2:00 AM - 11:00 AM

This dream is set in a forest, mostly pines. My friend Perry is sitting on a treebranch, probably about 5 feet off the ground. This guy I know that works at my colleges cafeteria, Mark, is sitting about 10 or 15 feet to his left on the ground leaning on a tree. In between them there is a small wooden swing tied to the tree's where my friend Natalie is sitting, swinging gently. I walk up and pick a particularly weird looking tree about 5 feet in front of Perry's tree. I'm not sure what kind of tree it was, but it had branches coming out of the tree at a 90 degree angle very low off the ground, some only a few inches and some a few feet, then there was a gap where no branches were coming out of the trunk and they started again about 10 feet off the ground. I started stepping up the lower branches and found a comfortable place to sit.
All of a sudden, Mark jumps up and walks straight ahead, away from all of us, and sits down on some leaves under a big tree about 50 feet away from us. Confused, I go over to ask what's wrong. He says, "I didn't want to say anything in front of everyone, but there is a crocodile chasing a duck coming toward us from behind and I just felt like moving." I swing my head around, and sure enough, I catch a glimpse of a crocodile opening it's mouth and swallowing a female mallard duck. The weird part (if that's not weird enough) was that a second mallard, a male, flew down into the crocs mouth as it snapped shut, basically committing suicide.
I freak out and yell to Natalie, who the croc had taken interest in, to run away. She hears me and acknowledges that she see's the giant, 12 foot long crocodile coming towards her, but doesn't make any effort to move! I sprint over to her and try to get her off the swing, but she just says she doesn't want to move. I try to get her off the swing and in the process, she just falls to the ground and lays there. I try to pick her up, but she weighs like 10 times any normal human would and it is impossible. I take a breath and try again, using all my strength, and manage to pick her up and start running away from the crocodile, which at that point was only like 10 feet away from us. Then I woke up.

This is the first dream that I remembered with this much detail. Usually I can only remember the general plot (if that) of a dream or only the last minute or so before I wake up. I wasn't lucid at all for this dream.
