      Weird sleep paterns, amazing recall

      For the past week, I've been going to bed early. Sometimes I went to bed at 7 or maybe 10PM but I always wake up at 1:30AM after remembering 1-2 dreams. I write them down and fall back asleep and wake back up at either 4-5AM and write down another dream or 2 that are more vivid. If it is a school night, I stay up but today it is a Sunday and I went back asleep and had my first Lucid Dream. Sadly I got too excited and started rubbing my hands but stopped to start spinning but the second I stopped, I woke up. The only reason I became lucid was because I was talking to my Dad about a dream I had and suddenly was like "I'm Dreaming" because I knew their was a train track near my house that only existed in my dreams.
      Why am I having sleep patterns like this? It clearly is amazing for dreaming but not for school nights.

      I usually wake up after every single dream that I have. It shouldn't really affect your sleep if you can get back to sleep immediately. If you don't want to, you don't have to write down the less vivid dreams early in the night. I don't always do that either. I still get 3-6 dreams a night even if I skip a few.

      Thing is, on school nights, I'd advise against going to bed at 7PM. 10PM sounds like a much better time, and you won't get into such a weird rhythm. It depends on how early you have to get up, though.
