      Was I lucid?

I have been visiting this site for about four days now (which i must say, is by far the best one stop resource i have found on the topic of lucid dreaming), practicing the recall techniques as described, and i think i may have had a WILD... not certain though. I woke up this morning, wrote down my dream (i'm up to at least one a night; i remembered two today before the possible LD, making a total of three). I figured i would try a WILD, and read some LD related stuff for about 45 minutes, then attempted to induce an LD. I found i did have some difficulty staying focused, but eventually fell almost directly into the dream without any hypnologic imagery.... no colors, no nothing. As soon as i was in the dream, i thought to myself "This is it! You're having a lucid dream!" and then about three seconds after that i woke up. I tried to go back to the dream was unable and then simply fell asleep.
i have been really frustrated with my past attempts at lucidity, but i think that this time, i am actually making some progress. i have never really had a steady dream recall, but remembering at least one dream every night for four nights has been really cool thus far. this is my first post here, but i hope to make more, and i hope to progress with my lucidity in the near future.

If any of you have any advice for me, or any pointers, or anything, i would greatly appreciate it!

      u sound very motivated !
      that's awesome !
      good luck

      Remember though,
      U can't get excited,
U must be poised like a jedi,
before and during a lucid dream,
if you find yourself in a lucid dream and u get excited, u'll wake up,
that's just how the human body works,
Just think, if your really really tired and u find something really kool out, like... i dunno, u win the lotterly or something, do u think your going to be tired anymore ? NOPE !

I know it's awesome, it's heaven times 2, but u have to hide that, otherwise, u won't stay in the lucid world for more than 10 seconds
      haha
That's the best advice i can give for now
They say dreaming is dead and noone does it anymore. It's not dead, it's just been forgotten, removed from our language. Nobody teaches it, so nobody knows it exists. .. waking life

Yeah... I'll be sure to be ready this time.

I just woke up right now, after about 5 hours of sleep. This is the shortest period of time since sleeping that i've awakened myself; very good thing. I just woke up from a very strange dream about trying to lucid dream; it was almost as if lucid dreaming was a club of some sort (i'm starting to think that this might be a dream sign of mine.... its this dark red bricked club whose inside walls are wooden, a very dark, almost mahogany wood, with red and green and regular lights, and the lights are reflecting off of the polished wood, making for a very cool ambience... its now been in two dreams i've remembered this week, but anyways) and i am trying to get in, and then there are these big, tough, round guys in suits with shotguns trying to get it too. i do believe there was more, but thats all i can make of it right now. Through the whole thing, i never realized that i was dreaming! I don't think that the place was called anything... i just sort of instinctually knew it was that, and yet I didn't make the switch from dreaming to lucid.

I'm going to go have a WILD now, so wish me luck, and thanks for the warm welcome to the board!
