      delayed recall??

      Hey guyz-
So, it appears that everytime I wake up in the morning I'm frustrated, because it seems like I dont remember any dreams... say an hour or two go by, and I'm just going about my day as usual, when all of a sudden somthing I see or think about suddenly triggers me to remember portions of or all of a dream I had the night before! sometimes its completely random. Anyone have any experience with this? It's super frustrating to me because usually when it happens I'm not next to my DJ to write it down. Advice, experience?

I'm having similar problems since my returning interest in dreaming. Two years ago when i was last active I would remember my dreams as if I'd just got back from actually doing them and took a nap and woke up. Immediately remembered about 30-50% and from there the memory just flowed back.

Past week of rebuilding my recall however, I wake up and don't remember much of anything, perhaps a few flashes of imagery. I'll lie there for about 10 minutes and finally two or three snippets of detail will appear and I have to drag the rest out from the mental fog.

This happens to me quite often. I'll wake up and either remember part of a dream, some dreams but not all of them, or nothing. As the day progresses I see things that end up reminding me of my dreams, either just adding a "scene" to a dream that I did remember or reminding me of an entire dream. My recall has been getting a lot better in general but this still happens, I'll just already know more than I used to.

For example, before I'd remember nothing. A few hours later I'd see something and remember part of my dream. Now I'll remember 1-4 dreams and then see something and remember another one or another "scene".

      I'm pretty sure it's a normal thing.
