Don't have a dreamsign

For whatever reason I just stopped trying to LD. But now I'm back and more determined than ever! my recall has improved greatly, but I can't find a single aspect of a dream that is reoccurring in my dream journal. I have 19 dreams logged and no two are alike at all. The biggest thing is that in two of my dreams I'm in school... But that's it. I want to do a combination of MILDs and DILDs, but it's hard to do reality checks without a dreamsign. I usually do them about ten times a day, but sometimes I forget. What can I do at this point?

Surely, there must be some obscurity about your dreams. Perhaps a plot or a character from your waking life acting in an unusual way. What sort of RCs do you do? Try doing RCs to check abnormalties in plots in characters, such as 'Is what this person talking about normal for them?' and observing you surrounding to see if their all functioning in the normal way.. yeah.. You'll pick up on a dream sign evetually. You must have one! Pay great attention!

That's very helpful, thanks! I do the nose pinch thing and trying to put your finger through your hand. I'll keep looking,though!

I have over 40 or so dreams logged with great detail and I don't have single dream sign... So this doesn't surprise me lol

Are you able to have lucids without one? Also I don't want to do WILDS, which is the only other method I've seen that doesn't require reality checks.

Yah I have lucids without dream signs. I also use WILD after 5 hours of sleep or so. I suck at WILDs, but once I get good at them I wont even bother with DILDs

Try reality checking every time you enter your school. Look around in a few classes a day that most of your dreams are in and try an RC.

Yeah, it's okay that you don't have any dream signs - you don't really need them to lucid dream. I don't think everyone has dream signs; I have over 730 recorded dreams and there aren't many recurring features, although some characters get recycled because nearly all of my DCs are people I know in real life and there are only a limited number of them. I think that's big enough of a sample size to know that you don't have any dream signs, so I wouldn't worry. Just keep doing reality checks and the lucid dreams will come. I've had 12 lucid dreams without having any dream signs, and they were all DILDs. Sometimes you just realize you're dreaming without any triggers - that's how I become lucid.
