Question How can i measure the lenght of a dream? Sometimes they are longer and sometimes shorter

Maybe it's a silly question, but i would like to know that. I mean, i use a small notebook and sometimes i remember 1 page, others 2, and in some occasions i barely remember a tiny bit. Then, what is it exactly "one dream"? If a dream has several parts, is it or not "one dream"? Until today i have been thinking that the only thing that matters is the lenght.

      Any opinions?

do you mean how long in time it really lasts? I have read to just approximate how long it would take to do each thing that you do in your dreams. Than add it all together. Sometimes shorter (time) dreams are longer (words) just because I remember more details.

I don't think this is what you're asking, but experiments have concluded that when people count to ten while in a lucid dream, they do it in the same amount of time it takes them to count to ten in real life. Take whatever meaning from that you want.

I also have trouble deciding what counts as one dream, while writing them down. Sometimes, I'll have 'two' dreams which are obviously in the same REM period, which take place in the same building or something and probably follow one another, but are completely different stories. Of course, 'a dream' is just going to be a label we put on them. Realistically, as with many things, there isn't an obvious neon line between one dream and another. But I too would like to know the agreed upon definition of where that line goes.
