Guess you got natural recall, in which case yeah its normal. I don't know about the DJ though, it hasn't helped me at all, and I have natural recall, though it doesn't hurts to try. |

I have a few dreams that are years old that I still remember almost perfectly, and every dream in my dream journal I can remember it even moreso than some memories with very specific details down. Is it common to remember them this well? I have a feeling if I kept a REAL journal I'd remember my real memories more in the same respect. |

There are some dreams I remember as clear as any dream, from when I was 4 years old. I had some scary nightmares at that age. But yes, a dream journal is amazing. When I read through mine, I usually have forgotten a great deal of those dreams and really enjoy being reminded of them. A Dream Journal is priceless. Which reminds me, I need to start writing in mine more! |

I've had one nightmare that has to be at least 7 years old, at least. It's a nightmare that I've had pop up on more then that occasion because of my memory of it. Possibly one of the scariest most heart shattering nightmare I have ever had. |

Lucid dream goals:
1. Get into SP /Check
2. have a long LD
3: Fly
4: Have some epic battles with my childhood heroes and villians (DBZ)
I had a few dreams in my childhood that were recurring from age 3 to about 5, so that's probably why I can remember them that well, but to Hukif, yes, I've been very lucky as I have naturally good recall. The first time I learned that some people didn't remember their dreams, or at least not nightly, I was shocked! When I lose sleep and REM periods, I recall fewer dreams, but when I do sleep fully I have no trouble recalling dreams. |
|
depends on how interesting they are. i can recall really far back, as long as they are interesting. if i read back in the journal though i can remember the ones ive forgot |

Lucid Dreaming since 3/30/10
i have had one reacuring nightmare since i was 4 years old , we were going on a family trip; and i knew it was going to be really cool, but we had to go over the delaware memorial bridge. In my dream the bridge was a rollercoaster and everytime i get to the top i wake up before we start going down. needless to say to this date i am still not fond of rollercoasters. |

I can remember a few dreams from around 8-12. One was a lucid dream where I felt I was dreaming and jumped 3 times and I flew. It felt so real too. Another one was I was in a toga in Rome. And the last one was me falling on spikes with a creepy giant doll I had. |
|
I remember mostly my nightmares (The one with haunted house for example...) |

I can remember every single dream that I've written down in my DJ almost as well as when I actually wrote them down, some are around a month old (I've not been into LDing that long). I remember I had this one dream years and years and YEARS ago (I'm guessing when I was 8-10, could be totally wrong) and then oddly enough, had the exact same dream/'part two' (it was either a continuation of the exact same dream) a couple of years later. Freaky, huh? |
|
In the last six months I started keeping a dream journal and wrote all the dreams I could remember over my entire life. I started remember my dreams on a regular basis around 15 and only remember 3 dreams prior. I remembered over 200 prior to stating my dream journal and I turn 25 this year. Some of them 2 pages long, the fragment it was then, the fragment it is now and some I know were longer. |
|
I remember dreams I had when I was really little, like 4-6, almost as well as dreams that I have earlier in the day. |
|
If I write down a dream, then no matter how much time elapses, I can always remember that dream specifically. Some I can remember even without writing down. My first dream memory is from when I was no more than two years old. I dreamt that Bert and Ernie (from Sesame Street) were evil scientists and had strapped me to a rocket by the button of my favorite shirt. I also remember from when I still slept in a crib, waking up in the middle of the night because my sister had left the room. When she came back in, I was always terrified that it wasn't really her. |

Lucid goals: [] have a real, vivid lucid dream [] get inspiration for a painting [] build my secret underground lair [] tell a DC they aren't real [] fly
Just like normal life memories. Especially if I'm lucid. |

I was always a dreamer, in childhood especially. People thought I was a little strange.-Charley pride
Hi guys... Newbie here...I always wondered why do i have these returning dreams since the age of 5-6. Back then the window of my room opened to a small yard behind the house, with a tree. I remember i fell asleep and skeletons started to crawl over that window. A lot of them, and they had these big eyeballs staring at me. They were talking and laughing, telling me they will eat me Oo. Sounds weird but i was really afraid After that we moved, i had different returning dream. And by that i mean everytime i dreamt, it was the same. Classroom, teacher, classmates. I was sitting in the back and the floor started to...undulate? The center was the teacher i really loved, but i knew tha waves must not reach me it was evil and bad and scary. I shouted everyone to run and when we got out from school the waves followed so we got onto buses and stuff (i was driving bus at the age of 7 cool eh?) and wanted to get away. With every dream i got farther and farther and it came to us turning buses into spacecrafts looking for new planets to get away. I have no clue why i had these (VERY WEIRD) dreams but after a while i started to realize i'm dreaming so i could wake up on my own if i got too scared Oo. |

I remember most of my dreams before. I think i was partly lucid in the beginning, and i even had control. I was only a little kid though. Now i have bad recall, and i can't become lucid... |
|
I remember dreams from when i was 4 |
|
Sometimes, out of nowhere I'll just suddenly remember an old dream. I figure something sparked it... an idea or maybe something visual. I love when that happens!! Often it's when I'm trying to fall asleep. |
|
I had this dream when i was younger where i was battling zombie pirates and SoTC colossi on a pirate ship in the sky that was pink. |
|
i remember them in good detail. |
|
I was so much older then, I'm younger then that now.
