My dream recall is getting worse when i try to go lucid.... why??

whenever i try to go lucid, it doesnt work and my dream recall the morning i wake up is horrible... any tips/suggestions/advice?

are you just meaning that your recall is bad since you have been trying to lucid dream?

Can I just say that my dream recall came and went without being consistent, after my first lucid my dream recall went all together for about 2 or 3 weeks. It happens is all I can say :)
