Unhappy I have no recall at all, any help?

i almost never remember a dream, maybe once or twice a month i well remember a fragment or two, and as you can probable guess this sucks since lucid dreaming seems pretty cool i came across it from pure luck, i do tons of RCs (like 20 - 30 a day, i look at my hands, pinch my self, try to breath thru my nose when its clamped shut, and put my finger thru my palm) so i dont want to put all this effort to waste so im hoping someone well have some tips to go from 0 recall to at least a dream a week oh and if it helps, every morning il just lay there and day dream (insanely vivid) for like a hour on the weekends and like 15 minutes on weekdays.

First, be sure to keep a dream journal. It helps, trust me. Second, it will take a while for you to start getting better dream recall. After waking, stay still and try to recall what you were dreaming about. It may not come right away. I've had a couple times where I wrote down "Can't Remember" but then it all came to me a few minutes later during breakfast. Keep a consistent sleep schedule. And finally, make sure you get enough sleep. I hear 8-10 hrs is good. But around those times I can't seem to remember my dreams. For me it seems getting 6.5 hrs of sleep does the trick.

Just keep practicing. I'm >6 months in and I still don't have great recall. however, I have gone from ~0 dreams per month, to a couple every week.

Think through your day in fast-rewind mode before falling asleep. Works. Every. Time.

I recommend reading this recall tutorial. It has some great tips that you can use to remember your dreams.

I write a sticky note by my bed that says "DREAM" and when I see it I think about what I dreamt about, first thing in the morning. Good luck!
