Dream signs not helping lucidity

Ther are signs in my dreams that I recognise as odd, or out of place, but do not help me realise that I a dreaming. Some 'typical' dream signs don't work - like words being legible, and clocks always telling realistic times - but other thing I expect would, don't spark me to do an RC. Recently, I moved a car easily by hand and didn't think that was stage (in my dream). Surfaces look and feel real. I think I suffer from vivid, or realistic, dreams which act against me noticing anything being wrong.

Any tips on recognising that there should be things outside the window isntead of white light, and that people I've never met seem familiar? I've had one lucid dream so far, and that a shoddy one, and I put it down to failing to recognise dream signs. Tips?

Nope, they just seem real, which is why it is so hard to realise you are dreaming.
Try practicing some more DILD tutorials, matras, RC during the day.

Don't only do RCs when you see a dream sign get into the habbit of doing them all the time. Dream signs can help though so really think about your surroundings and be aware. Also you can't suffer from really vivid dreams, its something some people would die to have.
