How realistic are your lucid dreams?

Obviously nonrealistic things happen in dreams, but how real does it feel when you WILD? I've read in lots of guides that people go through SP and HI and then they can just open their eyes and roll out of bed into a dream. How much like your room does your dream seem? And how well can you control and change your surroundings?

Even though I've only WILD'ed a few times, I usually don't enter the dream in my room. I see black, then colors and shapes dancing around. Sometimes the colors and shapes then coalesce into a dreamscape. Others times I fly through a tunnel or fall through my bed and enter the dreamscape through a portal. My lucid dreams always feel more real than WR - the colors are more vivid, details and sensations more intense, and I can see clearer.
The times I did see my room in SP is when I used to get night terrors. In this case the room would look exactly like my bedroom in every detail. These would happen when I was a kid and I actually thought they were real for a while until I figured out was going on.

Thanks! I've actually managed to have my first WILDs after I asked that question. When I WILD I wake up in my own bed (this happened the three times I WILDed), when I DILD I'm wherever I am in the dream, and when I DEILD I get put in really random places. So far WILDing, which had been my main goal, hasn't been the most fun. DEILD is my favorite. My subconscious creates entire building plans without me having to consciously do anything. And I find I can control my surroundings very well. Everything, even flying or melting through the wall, feels realistic. WILDs so far take a lot of concentrating effort to make anything happen, and DILDs are kind of unstable.
We were always dreaming of how it was going to be.

Longest chain of DEILDs: [5] WILD[X] DILD[X] DEILD[X] OBE[X] Fly[X] Bend elements[] Task of the Month/Year[] Hang out with real-life people[X] Summon a random DC[] Talk to a DC consciously[X] Find my dream guide[] Have complete control[] Realize that there is no spoon[]
And this because I love it:
