Dream Recall Help. (What's my problem?)

Hey guys, last night i took 200mg of Vitamin B6 to hopefully increase my dream recall. I Went to bed around 11:30 and kept drifting in and out of sleep until maybe 12:30. When i finally fell asleep my alarm woke me up at 6 where i attempted to recall my dream and try the WBTB method unfortunately i remembered a fragment of my dream, wrote it down, couldn't remember any more and then fell back asleep without trying any induction techniques.

My current goal is remembering at least 1 full (vivid) dream a night. I've yet to even remember one entire dream since i've started 2 weeks ago.
One thing that i think may be affecting me is that i smoke(weed) a few(2-6) times a day and i feel like it's been highly affecting my memory. Starting today i'm going to stop smoking and see how it will affect my recall along with the B6.

Any information or similar experiences anyone has had would be highly appreciated

Edit* So it turns out my friends convinced me to smoke a little today, but it was in the early afternoon. It was my last time at least for a few months now.

Your problem is the weed. Please quit that. Not only does it ruin your memory, its also illegal, and could land you in jail. I know its not something you can just stop cold turkey, but try some techniques that may help. Of course, its possible that you aren't addicted to it yet, if so, stop immediately. That is the key to regaining your memory, and your memory is the key to Lucid Dreaming.

Well Stormman it appears you are highly against the use of marijuana. No, i'm not addicted and could stop cold turkey whenever. I've limited myself to only smoking on special occasions. For example one of my friends is moving to Tennessee on Tuesday, i plan on getting very much under the influence. I haven't smoked since this post and already my dreams are becoming more vivid. Most likely just a placebo effect for the first night, but i'll see what happens tonight.

I can assure you this is not a placebo. i had no intentions of recalling more dreams when i quit, but for the first week i remembered them much better. I still dont smoke but my recall is back down to nearly none. i wish i knew why. As far as quitting cold turkey...that is the only way to quit and it isnt hard at all

I smoked marijuana for about 3 years almost every single day, and a lot of it. I can assure you it does not cause health problems. However, it does cause you to have bad memory while high but does not cause any health problems. I was not into lucid dreaming the whole time of smoking it, but did notice i remembered almost no dreams. So, weed definitely does effect dream recall negatively. Now I can not smoke because of drug testing,(that is the only bad thing about weed...it's illegal unfortunately) But since i have not been smoking for several months my dream recall dramatically increased and then I read about lucid dreaming and have been extremely intrigued. I have noticed that any one I know that smokes weed, remembers almost no dreams, so if you are really interested in lucid dreaming and smoke weed, you will need to make a tough decision.

I've smoked on 1 or 2 days since this post and i've remembered the longest most vivid dreams(up to 3 a night) that i ever have before. As long as i don't go to bed high and keep smoking to a minimum i'll be perfectly fine.
