Dream Recall while sleeping in different places.

I could not get to sleep last night in my bed for some reason, maybe the faint noise of my brothers t.v. in the other room? I don't know, but that is besides the fact. I decided to go and sleep on my couch. I had 2 dreams I remembered but they weren't vivid and were extremely tough to remember, whereas i remember 4-5 dreams a night in bed. I'm just wondering if sleeping in a different location effected my dream recall or if it was just a coincidence. If anybody has some info on this it would be greatly appreciated.

I seem to recall more when sleeping in other places such as a hotel or a different house, not sure about the couch though.

hmm, interesting I'll try to remember that next time I sleep at a different house or something. Sleeping on the couch though had a negative effect on my recall so I think that sleeping anywhere other than my bed will most likely have a negative effect, but I'll find out eventually.

Also, I used to get into SP almost every time i would fall asleep during class in high school, I would hear myself start to snore and wake up before the teacher said anything. I wonder if it was because i was somewhat paying attention to what the teacher was saying, keeping me aware. Now i just wish i could do it at home. I loved those vibrations.

Nice, I have only gotten into SP while conscious. Definitely an awesome experience. I use to fall asleep a lot my sophomore year, I would fall into sleep and then boom I'd spaz and wake up by kicking the desk or whatnot. It's not that it's a foreign experience I just never understood why that happens.

Normally have better recall in a place I feel more comfortable and secure which is my own bed.

For me I have better recall when I sleep in a different place other than my usual bed.

Sleeping somewhere else doesn't seem to affect my recall at all, just as long as I sleep comfortably and long enough.
If either of those go missing though my recall will usually drop to 0 for that moment, and given my recall is really good it is quite a way to get down to 0.

I made a mistake in this I meant I have only gotten into SP while conscious once.

weird, even if I'm really comfortable sleeping in a different location it seems I get the best recall lying on my left side in bed.

I'll be sleeping in 2 different places over spring break this coming week. I'll test it out!

Alright, let me know how it affects your recall. I'm pretty sure it is different for everyone from what I've gathered.

As promised here I am. I slept in a different bed last night. Result? First lucid and recall of 2 dreams.

I still think it's coincidence though.

Interesting, maybe a coincidence or maybe you get good results from sleeping elsewhere
