      Digital vs Analogue DJ

What do you think works better? I have heard that you can get more detail and remember more things with a voice recorder but I'm not sure. I have no problem with getting up and writing for a while if that's what I have to do but obviously I'd prefer to speak if it's as good or better.

Do you personally have more luck with writing or recording?

Have achieved SP with mild HI previously, haven't attempted much in the past.

I'm afraid, my own voice would wake me up to much so that I would forget some important details. Also if I want to look up something in my DJ, it's so much easier reading than listening. And sometimes I want to draw a map or something else for the dream or later add some more details, notes or interpretations, so, for me, a spiral-bound notebook does a better job. If none of these is a problem for you, then I think you should go ahead with what you feel more comfortable.

When I first wake up, I'm hardly functioning. It takes a while for me to form sentences. If I used a voice recorder, there would be more silence than descriptions. I prefer writing because I can take my time, and not have long awkward gaps in the finished product. I also prefer to be able to skim over my entries and flip or scroll through them than skip around in an audio file until I find what I want. If you can easily form sentences in the mornings, maybe audio recordings would be worth a try.

I write my dreams on my Blackberry then copy them into my dream journal later. The good thing about writing your dreams down in your phone is that you can do it lying down. Also you don't have to worry about not being able to read your own handwriting later. I suppose you're not going to forget as much about your dreams if you only have to move one arm to record them.
