      Need help with recall.

I have been practicing recall for a couple of months now, it's been very difficult. I keep a dream journal and have only three entries for the past month. I use WBTB to think of my mantra, 'I WILL remember my dreams when I awake', but yet, I can still never remember my dreams. I do have school, and sleep for only about 5-6 hours. I also have tried to stay still immediately after I awake, but with a screeching alarm sound it is very difficult to not turn it off. If any fellow dreamers out there have any tips to help my recall, it would be greatly appreciated.

There is couple of things you can try:
      1. Write in your DJ, even if all you remember is one word or just a feeling.
      2. If you don't remember anything, write "I have good memory and my recall is getting better every day" and believe it.
      3. Drink water before bed and each time you wake up. Write the dreams down while fresh in memory.
      4. Repeat mantra as falling asleep (use present tense, not future)
      - I remember my dreams
      - I wake up after each dream and remember it
      - I remember my dreams in the morning
      5. Can you change your alarm sound to something more pleasant, so it doesn't startle you? You can turn it off, but then stay still and try to think about the dream.
      6. Can you sleep little longer? Is your recall better on the weekends when you sleep in?
      7. Think positively about your dreams and your memory. If you remember a dream, or even just a fragment, feel happy about it and say thanks to your higher self.
      8. I must ask. Do you smoke pot or take any other drugs? They do interfere with recall.

      Hope this helps

^ In my experience, weed only really affects dream recall when you smoke it before you sleep. When I smoke, I do it early in the day and then when I sleep my dreams are so much more realistic, I get more emotionally involved, and my recall is usually normal if not better. I guess it's different for everyone.
I was so much older then, I'm younger then that now.
