      Journal

Ok, I've always had the occasional lucid without any effort on my part, about 1 or 2 a week just out of the blue, but I decided to maybe do the journal in the mornings. I found some nice ones on the App Store for the ipad and settled on one where you can search entries by keywords. It also has nice dark backgrounds so if you open it up at 2:00 am it doesn't put out a lot of light and wake up your spouse.

Anyway, I didn't enter anything until I woke up at 8:30 this morning and I remembered pretty good details from five non lucid dreams. I've always remembered dreams, but I never really thought I remembered that many.

Has anyone else tried the mobile apps instead of paper? Anyone think one is better than the other?

People do use all kinds of DJ. It probably doesn't matter, which one you use. DJing works in making your recall better, because you think about your dreams when writing them down. That tells your mind that dreams and remembering them is important to you.

I personally pefer paper DJ, just because it's easier to flip through pages, draw some quick picture, and just the general feel of the physical DJ in my hand. But I also have a backup on my laptop in Word. Happy dreams

I initially write my dreams on paper, then copy them to my ipad. Btw, what app are you using? I'm using this thing called My Memoir where I can add a password, change the themes, and there is also an area at the right of an entry for pictures. I usually draw in my painting app and import them into the journal so I could see sketches of certain dreams.

      Cheers!

Maybe it's a dream and if I scream, it will burst at the seams.

Gahh I can't edit my previous post so I'll just say it here.

I forgot to mention, I got this app called Day One as well. It looks cool, and it has hashtags/tags, as well as other nice stuff for journalling. I haven't used it yet though, still trying to figure it out

The app I got is simply called Dream Journal. It doesn't have the password protection. Maybe I should have looked for that.

I'd be alright without password protection, if it weren't for the fact that my friends and family constantly use my ipad to play, and they always get curious with my files haha!

I use a book and want to buy a better one in December, that also looks more like a Dream Journal if you know what I mean. I also used my phone for some time, but prefer paper.

Oh damn, sorry for the doublepost but Edit function is still out of order, or more like not the edit function but nearly any of the buttons of it lol.. anyway I forgot to mention that I copy most of my dreams I record also to the PC manually where I use a programm to save them, so I am sure that I have them gathered all in one place. So that I can also easily search after keywords etc.
