5-7 dreams recalled in one night to 0 in 1 day?

I was doing amazing. Able to recall between 5 and 7 dreams per night. Albeit the quality of the imagery wasn't 'blu ray' but I could still recall many details. Within a day and for the past 3 days my recall has been shot down to 0. Nothing has changed except the fact that there is no remembering anything! WTF??

I would recommend a mantra, something to get your confidence up! like "I remember all my dreams" or "I am the best at remembering dreams."

That should help a lot. If you had 5-7 dreams a night it might be one of two reasons:
      1) you have great recall
      2) you have okay recall and are actually remembering fragments of a few dreams.

If it is the first, then you probably just lost confidence.

If it is the second, then you are just a bit away from having really vivid long dreams. I would recommend going through the dream recall compendium (http://www.dreamviews.com/dream-sign...ompendium.html) and getting some good recall.

      Hope this helps. Good luck.

Most of my vivid dreams are when i'm really tired or when i'm actually wel rested. Any change there maybe?

Amazing analysis! I really appreciate your response. Do you recommend waking up at night to record my dreams and doing it again in the morning?

I've been trying to go to bed and wake up at the same time every night... Plus Im usually well rested throughout the day. I think it's a combination of what brandonboss said, something must have lowered my confidence at the same time as thinking dream fragments were actually detailed dream recalls.

      I recommend this:

      http://www.dreamviews.com/dream-sign...ompendium.html

And I recommend consistence with waking up and going to sleep. Doesn't have to be too consistent, but you should never go to sleep tired. (This is to boh of you)

I wake up about 5 times a night, I don't write my dreams down when I wake up, but I used to have to. I can now make a mental note of them and just go back to sleep.

      Good luck.

Thank you for that. I will go through the compendium now and also look it over before I go to sleep. I'm sure that being in a constant general mindset of dream recall is very important in actualizing it. I used to have many LD's a few years back and realize that it's not like riding a bike. That is why I want to reignite it the right way (starting with developing proper recall) and I can do so with your advice.

      Thanks again!
