Dreaming lots about sexual intercourse

I've noticed that many of my dreams I have is about intercourse, often with random dream characters.
Just the past few months, the dreams I have had always seems to be related with sexual intercourse, more often that I have in mind of wanting to do it but often refuse to do it as I know I've a girlfriend and I don't want to cheat.

I am no such of sex-addict or doing anything sexual more than average people (well, I think so).

I wonder if this may have some reason or explaination of why these dreams appear?
Just a few days ago I kind of fell in love with a dream character, and when waking up I somehow felt like I wanna meet her, so weird. And today I had a where I had intercourse with a dream character, well I didn't feel that I did it, but somehow it was a recording I watched afterwards where I saw myself banging some girl.
Sometimes can feel a bit guilt at mornings as it feels like I cheat on her in dreams

Well, I also wonder how I can make this to a reality check, so that when it happends that somewhat sexual event happening in the dream I will get my subconscious on and be able to become lucid?

Hmm I have no idea why you would be dreaming a lot about it unless it's been on your mind a bit. However, you can do reality checks everytime something sexual happens to you or if any sexual thought come up in your mind so that when it happens in dreams, you will do the same and get lucid. Also, don't worry about the guilt. Our emotional barrier is much more open in dreams that's why we are more emotional in them, and even when we wake up, we can still feel its effects. I suggest talking to your gf about it and be open about it. That might lessen the occurences of the sexual dreams since you've been harboring them for a while and it could be like a constant thought in your subconscious by now. Good luck

It could just be a phase your brain is going through. For a while I was dreaming mostly about places and rarely encountered people, then a phase of being in airports, and now I'm dreaming more about walking around large cities. Perhaps your mind is exploring this interesting new territory of dreams and isn't satisfied with the taste it's had yet!

I like your idea of using it as a dreamsign, that'd be an excellent one.
