Question Dream recall troublesome after I'm getting a lot of dream fragments

Lately, I've been having a difficulty remembering my dreams at the morning. Reason to this is perhaps I started taking multi-vitamins as supplements and I also thought that it would help with dream clarity and vividness maybe even lucidity.

The thing is, if I have 1-2 dreams I remember them almost perfectly, as if it happened to me in real life "a few days ago". But the problem lies to when I have more than that amount of dreams. Yersterday-Today I had about 6-7 dream fragments if I remember correctly, but I can't recall any details to them, thus I can't write a journal about them.

This event doesn't happen very frequently, albeit when it does it's annoying as it keeps me off the dream journal schedule. Is this happening to anyone around here, is it normal?

      Regards.

dreams arent linear like the present time is now. fragments can mix and mash. its your brain that done it in the first place.

      it happens to everyone maybe

"is it normal". no there is no normal.

so what if these fragments dont amount to a straight forward story that you are used to. these fragments were made by you, especially for you.

      record them dont disregard them

Write anything that you can recall into your DJ, don't discard fragments! As for why it's fragmented, it can happen for various reasons, recall can drop due to stress, major change in life, or change in sleeping schedule, perhaps it could be supplements too, though i am not really into that. Either way, keep practicing recall and it's surely will be back, just give it time, and think positive.
There are also some ways to improve recall, try lying in the bed for a while after waking up, while recalling. Also you can try some mantras, like "I remember my dreams" or "I wake up after each dream and remember it" or similar, before or while falling asleep. Memory practice can help improving recall too, try recalling what happened through day before going to sleep.

Some really good advice from Scionox!
I have experienced this as well, but always try to write down absolutely EVERYTHING you somehow manage to remember even if it's only a feeling or one image or a person. I think that's quite important. You need to have this motivation that every morning you wake up you really WANT to write down some cool dreams. That makes the recall easier as well.
You can also try WBTB if you are not too stressed and get enough sleep. I usually set my alarm at least once per night (if I have school I set it at 4:30am which is 90 minutes before getting up). I just get up for about 5 minutes (that' enough for me) and just note some dreams and go back to bed with my heightened awareness and the intention to have a lucid dream and remember some more dreams the next time I'll wake up.

I would recommend to come back to sleep and dream for only few minutes, only to grab part of your memories. As soon as you see something - wake up and you will remember all your dream. I already wrote it somewhere but for me, dream memory works like a tangle thread, when you wake up in the morning and you cannot recall your dream or you remember only fragments, just go back to sleep and try to see any of it again, as soon as you see few details - wake up. It's like you are grabbing a thread out of tangle and you wake up with it and pull the rest.

Never wrote down my dreams, only after few years i made a blog and was writing my best lucid dreams only because i wanted to share them.

Hey everyone, thanks for all the responses and sorry for my slow response, I had wrote this in a rush.

Although I'm struggling to record fragments of dreams I only write them down to my mini-DJ on my phone (So as to not mix with my proper, polished DJ) just for the heck of writing something down in the morning (aka not breaking the habit). But probably it's what Scionox said. You mentioned something about sleep schedule.

Lately, instead of sleeping 11:00 PM and waking up 4:00 (30 minutes more because of the relaxation time before I sleep), I sleep at 12:30 and sometimes even 1:00+. Maybe that's the reason.

Also, WBTB'ing also helps a ton with these kind of dreams, and it's probably for the best. I don't like getting out of schedule, never.

Thanks for your help, wish you the best. Regards!
