      Could this be a dream sign?

      Well, in waking life, I use glasses, and witouth them my vision is pretty bad. However, in my dreams, I never use glasses but I have perfect vision. Now I was thinking if this could be considered a dream sing, or even if I could use it as a reality check...
      Any thoughts?

      Maybe if whenever you'd take off your glass you would check how everything looks like around you, so you could see if it's all hard to see, or if it's easy. Maybe that would increase chances for more lucid dreams, but personally I've had 2 lucid dreams after joining this forum, and I have little experience, but this is just what I think.

      How often do you wear glasses?

      I dream of my work place a lot, but I don't see that as a valuable dream sign since I'm there all day anyway. It's not like I'm going to question my wakefulness during work any more than I question it otherwise. However, I have a recurring dreamsign of a childhood friend who moved away. That's an excellent dream sign since I never see him anymore, and if I do, I'm definitely dreaming.

      So, if you only take your glasses off for bedtime, that's an awesome dream sign.

      I wear my glasses all day along. When I wake up, one of the first things I do is put them on. I only take then off when I'm going to take a bath, brush my teeth or sleep. So I guess it could be a good dream sign/reality check. I've been on a dryspell for almost a whole week (before that I used to have up to 2 or 3 nights of lucids, with a one or two day pause sometimes. Now I don't have any lucids) so I really hope this will help me break out of my dry spell.

      Yeah, that's what I've been doing recently. I started today tough so I don't know if this will work. I expect this helps me finally have a lucid again

      Cookino, I am very interested if you had any success with using glasses as a RC. I wear them everyday like you only taking them off for sleep, or a shower. Just thought of using them as a way to become lucid in a dream since I haven't had any lucid dreams in the 3+ months I have been working at it. I would greatly appreciate any info as to your experience with this RC. Thanks a lot Shpadoinkle.

      @Shpadoinkle

      you can use anything that you see both in your dream and in waking life for a dream sign.

      You can also use your glasses for a RC. Touch your glasses during day and say "am I dreaming?" and truly believe you are. If you feel them, say next time I'm dreaming, I realize I'm dreaming". Soon enough you should start "touching" your glasses in your dreams and it may get you lucid.

      And, next time, please don't post in old threads, like this one. It's better to start your own thread.

      Oh, and welcome to Dreamviews!

      Thank you, I've found this website to be a major catalyst on my quest to have a lucid dream. This topic is so interesting and the numerous benefits it can bring is something that gives me motivation to continue practicing.

      I wear glasses at home and contacts when I'm out of the house. It wouldn't be a great RC for myself, but I can't see a problem with your thoughts of a glasses RC.

      No harm in trying, let us know how things go

      Most of all, welcome to DreamViews
