Dreams fusing together in my memory

I'm starting to get back my dream recall, but when I'm trying to remember the whole dream sometimes I confuse myself if one part of the dream I actually had last night or a long time ago.

For example: last night I had a dream where I was in a school and I was trying to remember if I went into this big locker room area but then I remembered that wasn't actually last night, I had the dream with the locker room a long time ago and I had a different dream last night. Any tricks to stop this from happening? The chronological order in my memories is getting messed up.

Write your dreams down every morning and read them during a day or before going to bed. You will then distinguish all the dreams.

Hitokage gave a good suggestion, write dreams to your DJ as soon as you wake up and re-read through the day/before going to bed. Additionally doing some memory practice can help too, which can also help with recall, like remembering events of whole day before going to sleep.
