Does he has dream journal? If not, he should start it and write every dream in it each night. Also remaining still in the bed after waking up while trying to recall can help, as well as mantras while falling asleep, like "I remember my dreams". :)
Also this thread has good info on recall, check it out: http://www.dreamviews.com/dream-sign...ompendium.html

I agree with starting a dream journal. It'll teach his mind that it's important to remember his dreams overtime, because he's going to write them down. Even if he doesn't remember any dreams, he should put "I don't remember any of my dreams." I think it's most preferable to write in it as soon as he wakes up as well, since people tend to remember their dreams more easily as soon as they wake up.
Thank you guys! I will let him know! He was able to tell me a dream yesterday, though only about three things about it. Better than nothing though! So I will tell him what you guys suggested and see if we can get him going! :)
I don't have much more to add, but having a faint alarm that increases in volume has helped me. So it starts off quietly and gradually increases in volume. That way I don't get startled in the morning and frantically try to turn off the alarm.
Journal every morning, right after he gets up, better to do it on the bed. I forget my dreams within minutes of waking up if I don't write them down.
