FISHING FOR DREAMS
I'm pretty new to lucid dreaming, so if this is something you've all known since the beginning of time, please humour me.
This morning I woke up and had absolutely no memory of any dreams, even though I had slept 7 hours. I had a thought... what if the dreams are still somewhere, but I just don't have enough attention where they are to remember them?
I decided to experiment with the spinny thing. My thought was, if it can intensify a partially developed dream, maybe it can intensify one that has all but faded away.
I put my attention 15 minutes back in time and did the spinny thing. I immediately got the buzzing sensation I get when I contact a dream, so I did the spinny thing again. The buzzing increased and I remembered the dream.
I continued my experiment by putting my attention further back in time and doing the spinny thing. After a while, I realized it was like fishing for dreams. If I felt the buzz there was a dream at that time, and with a little work, I could follow the buzz and zero in on the dream.
At 4 hours back I encountered a fierce buzzing and recovered an incredibly vivid dream. Seems the more intense the buzz, the more vivid the dream.
In the end, I recovered 4 dreams.
I'm really curious to find out if it will work again for me, and of course it will be interesting to see if it works for other people.
