Unhappy Dream Recall is working but more toward 4am and 6am. Why not 1am?

      I set 3 alarms. 1:30, 3:00, 4:30 and 6:30

THe one at 1:30 wakes me up and i can't remember anything. it feels as if i had some exciting dream but just can't recall it.
But the ones where i remember the dream are always the 4:30 and 6:30(which actually i may wake up at slightly different times before the alarms, like today wa 4:00 and 5:40)

ANyways, Why the longest period which is the 4.5 hour one from 9pm to 1:30 .. why i don't remmber anything from that period?

Most likely related to REM Periods, it's easier to recall dreams when waking up in/at the end of REM, i also noticed that i have better recall when i wake up at certain times. Use knowledge of your REM periods. Also with practice your recall will get better so you will be able to remember dreams from that period as well.

INteresting. so you mean 1:30 is not my REM time? well 1:30 is 4.5 hours after i sleep( 9pm) and that's what they said in the Lucid dream tutorials to aim at 4.5, 6, or 7.5

Well interestingly yesterday i woke up at 3am which is about the 6th hour and yup i got dream recall. 2 dreams recalled. But sometime ago(2 years) when i did dream journaling, the 4.5 would also work. i would remember dreams. I guess it's just hit or miss.

Maybe cause 2 years ago i was younger and now i'm older. and my brain is weird now.

REM periods also vary from person to person, that"s why you should not take those values as exact but instead start from them and work out the ones which work best for you personally, same applies to WBTB times too by the way. It's always good to experiment to find out what works best for ya.
And yeah, maybe they changed over time, especially if you had any major sleeping schedule changes during those years.

Guys My Recall is better but like i said, for some strange reason i can't remember when i wake up at 2am or whatever.. but then when i go back to sleep and wake up like at 5am. then i remember some dream.

      I have alarms, 2:30 , 4:00 and 5:30

The 2:30 i can't remember my dream. Sometimes yes but most times these days i haven't
The 4:00, i also sometimes can but almost can't
The 5:30 is more likely to work. That's kind of strange that the later ones work better.

Anyways i have been experimenting. Like i changed my schedule. Before i went to sleep at 9pm and woke 1:30 3:00 and 4:30
      but i changed it to sleep at 10pm , wake at 2:30 , 4:00 and 5:30

Anyways, i'm happy my dream recall is getting better and my mind is kinda beginning to listen to what i tell it. Like i woke up at 4:00 and i didn't remember the last dream but i went back to sleep saying "I remember my dreams vividly' mantras many times and then i woke up and i remembered.

It gets better. The whole thing just takes time. Try to change your SC to waking up right before REM ends since waking from REM, not after, makes you remember your dreams easier.

I wake up like... 4 times a night? I remember about 6+ dreams a night (haha, back to 6+). I started similar to you though. Remember that alarms are evil! Good luck. You are doing pretty good things so far. I would just recommend my DJ system and the dream recall compendium by stay sharp. Pairing those two should make your recall fly.

How would i know when exactly my REM is? And when it ends or when it's in process? I dont realy know the exact times. But i've been following the 4.5, 6 and 7.5 hours after going to bed thing that was written in Laberge and many other books.

Alarms are evil? yeah i heard they can disrupt and make you forget. Well i don't know how else to wake up without an alarm
