      Exploiting dream signs

      Hi all !

I posted this message in "dream sign" section but maybe this larger section will allow more people to see it and then to respond.

I have successfully identified 2 dream signs which come very often in my dreams.

Trouble is that last night I had one of those 2 dream signs but couldn't exploit it to become lucidly aware.

I told myself that day that if I was dreaming about x and y that would mean that I'm dreaming. But once in the dream, when the dream sign occurs, I dont become lucidly aware.

      HELP !

A/ How can I exploit dream signs so that next time I see them I can become lucid ?

B/ Once you aknowledge your dream signs within a dream, does it make you lucidly aware by itself or do you have to perform a RC to become lucid ? In short, what's the process ?

      Thanks people !

You've gotta repeat mantras like "When I see (dream sign) I will realize I'm dreaming" or "When I see (dream sign) I will RC." That's the best way to use dream signs for becoming lucid.
      Cheers!

Thanks Brizzl ! I will give it a try and will report here. Hope it won't take 1 month before my subcounscious print the mantra. It's been 2 weeks that I'm doing some RCs linked with something and when that thing appeared last time in a dream it did not made me RC
So, let's see with the mantra.
      Thanks !

My DILDs are like: I spot a DS or, more frequently, something makes me suspect that I'm dreaming, then I RC to make sure that 'm dreaming and then carry with my goals for the LD, although sometimes the RC has failed and I went back to non-lucid.

Thanks but issue is to become aware of something unusual or of a DS. For the moment, my memory is turned off, therefore I could see pink elephant without finding this odd.

Well, I was answering to your question B/ at the opening post, "what's the process?"
Anyway, have you considered this? Lots of people (me included) join DV in order to sign up there.

It is very good free course, I'm still a student there. Just remember that the "teachers" volunteer here, so do not demand too much from them if you sign up

True. A great way to deal with this is to increase your self-awareness(do RRC(not RC)). And MILD is great for exploiting DS.

Edit: those RRC are explained in the WILD course in DVA, the very first lesson. They are great for WILD and DILD

I fill my heart with fire, with passion, passion for what makes me nostalgic. A unique perspective fuels my fire, makes me discover new passions, more nostalgia. I love it.

When you RC on your dream sign during day, you have to believe that you are in fact dreaming at that moment.

Also, it's ok to have dream signs. But don't rely only on them. RC on many different occasions throughout the day. That way you will have a much better chance of getting lucid, even if your dream signs doesn't show up in that dream.

Please check here for all possible ways to RC http://www.dreamviews.com/induction-...hecks-rcs.html

*Moved to Dream Signs and Recall because this is where you gonna get best answers for this topic. Happy dreams

Louaib : I'm gonna check this course out, it seems really helpful !

Gab : Believing that I'm dreaming when I RC after seeing a DS in WL, that's interesting ! Never thought about having that mindset ! Thanks

No ofc, but they can help and they come over and over again rather often so it would be a shame not to try to work with them

      Thanks for the link !
