      Recalling Backwards

I sometimes need to do this to get the whole dream, prob because my recall skill isn't perfect.

I often remember the very last point, and need to recall backwards, which triggers the branching of memories from other parts of the dreams. Soon after, new info pops here and there, and I can't write a dream entry with consistent chronological order. I have to jot things down randomly, although I can definately organize it later.

      Anybody have comments on this?

That's also what I do most of the time when I remember any longer dreams. It's easier because you remember the part you was just experiencing before waking up the most easily. So it's logical to begin recalling from the end of the dream and expand it backwards. I usually first recall the whole dream to the point where I can't possibly recall any earlier events and then I start writing it chronologically.

Usually, i can recall a dream from beginning to end, in that order. But of late, i'm having to use the method of which you speak.
for some reason (i'm blaming stress) my recall isn't what it used to be, and i'm really having to work at remembering my dreams in the morning..i've been trying WBTB and that doesn't seem to be working for me just now...so i'm going to go to bed tonight, safe in the knowledge that i WILL remember my dreams!
