What are ways to help react to dream signs

I have a very difficult time reacting to my dream signs. I have no problems remembering my dreams, they are very clear and I'm quite conscious in them however not enough to be lucid all the time. I would see my dream signs in the dream however I would never react to them, I'm not sure why because once the dreams ends and I'm awake I ask myself why didn't I react to it. Is it because I'm not focusing too much on it? Is there any ways to help increase reactions to dream signs?

This does seem like a topic that should have gotten more attention. Here's a thought:

I think that the best way to get dreamsigns to work for you is to make them a greater part of your daytime work. Think about your dreamsigns regularly; visualize them if you can. While you are thinking of them, do a RC or, better yet, take a moment to remember where you are, and where you were five minutes ago. Your goal with all this is to condition your mind (especially your unconscious) to automatically wonder, upon seeing a dreamsign, if "this" is a dream, and to accompany that wonder with a spark of memory.

Dreamsigns only work if they cause you to remember, or to do a RC, so do what daytime work you can to make that happen.

Sageous is right about programming your mind. But the thing about reality checks and dream signs, is that they're a means to forming a habit. Then, you have to hope that while in a dream, that habit transfers over. The problem is you're not lucid until after you perform the check, and even then, it has to work. By that, I mean your mind doesn't rationalize the anomalies like having extra fingers. Or in your case, recognizing dream signs.

Because they're so dependent on chance, I don't rely on them at all. They're just a small factor to helping have a lucid dream. My main thing is to focus on intention. Intention and belief seriously influence the mind and I use it to my advantage. Because I honestly don't know how else you're going to get your mind to notice the dream signs if not by wanting it to.

So back to the aforementioned, "programming the mind," I made a post that has plenty of easy information on how to do that, which I'll link below.

I hope this helps both you, and Sibyline.

Thanks for the advice, those are some smart ideas you and Sageous gave out. I'll make sure to do all of that.
