Dream Recall Only Works for me when I practice Obsessively

Do All of you and people in General have to practice obsessively in order to get good dream recall. I hadn't practiced in a while so i didn't have any recall for looong. But now i'm getting back to it by doing tons and tons of mantras throughout the day and at night. doing tons and tons of reality checks througt the day and so on.

And so now i'm getting back recall and I got really nice recall yesterday.

So what i'm saying is, it seems to me...recall doesn't work for some of us if we don't practice obsessively.
